I found 2 different R4's from 2 different vendors and there was a HUGE difference!
Both were structurally identical except one version had a filler material wrapped around the stem inside. It was .5 x 1 in and wrapped inside.
I found this quite odd since one of the advertised benefits of the R4 is NO FILLER MATERIAL.
Needless to say, the filler was NOT letting go of it's juice, so I contacted the vendor, got a refund and ordered from a vendor that had them Without the Filler.
It was great for a while, but found as many of you did that the taste takes a drastic drop way before running empty. Laid it on the side or upside down for a bit and all was well again.
I get the feeling that the inner inset on the fill ring, that I assume was introduced to prevent leaking into the cup thru the slits, is restricting the absorbency of the wick within the coil. Maybe the slight leak thru the slits is just what was needed to keep the coiled wick juicy enough to produce?

Well my r4 are actually making the battery seem like it's dropping performance after a short while, and the only reason could be that these are now the high ohm 3ohm cartos.
As soon as the performance drops, I put a 2.8ohm lower ohmed carto on the battery and things drastically improve.

The R4 should not have any filler in them, it should be in the box to use if you wish. I will show the pictures and video tomorrow in the new r4 thread.
Welll.... Thing vaped like a locomotive all day until cart just up a died... (Vaped it empty at least once), Had cleaned that cart 2 times and reeeely vaped it alot so don't know if mod was responsible. Have a fairly new cart done now and will vape it exclusively till it goes dry or pops....

I got my huge load of the new and last revision CE2 R4 Cartos today from the factory, big difference from my last 4 packs I got from a retail supplier. I have used one all day and it has vaped very well so far and it is an XL low ohm like Badkolo says they give you 5 little squares of filler about 3/4 x 3/4 if you want to mod them, I haven't felt the need to have to do so at this point, if they all vape like the one I have been using all day I have to change my opinion of thee things from where I was a week ago. I will report back tomorrow after using another one or two more and let all know if they where as good as the one I vaped on today, if so I will be keeping this huge order I got today, I must have gotten 50 boxes
That's good to hear. Have you metered any of them? Where they what you ordered? (ohm-wise).
wow mwa, im so glad to hear that, there really must of been something wrong with you older batches, i tried looking for people with similar issues and could only find one but that didnt help, so im so glad you finally got good ones.

Used mine on a Mega ego most of the day, but to make sure of the best voltage I just hooked one up to my Buzz, at 3.38v it is vaping beautifully, when I turn it up a little bit to about 3.58 it blows plumes of vapor but loses taste a little and runs a bit hotter on the lips as the carto gets a bit to hot but lots of vapor, so back to around 3.3-3.4 is perfect for me flavor wie and vapor wise

mwa, and they are not tapering off like the bad ones you had right?? i would die to know what was the cause of your bad ones. crazy stuff for sure.
Me too Badkolo me too,Thank you for you help last week too, I definitely got sent bad ones not only once but twice from the same retailer, yet he tells me everyone else has loved his, I doubt that, but wasn't going to argue, I'm just glad I am now aboard on these babies and wont be using cartos with filler for a long time now, well maybe I will have to use up my older LR510 Cartos or just keep em for emergency as I really like what I found today

I want to hook one of these babies up to my Journeymen bottom feed box mod tomorrow as I feel this will be the ultimate vape as I can continuously fill it from the bottom with this Mod and not even have to use the syringe to ever fill the darn thing. I did get a few or those plastic filler bottles from them too with the needle attachment and they are really nice for many different uses too

My bad ones also did not have the black thing surrounding the ceramic cup like these newer ones do, I am also curious to dissected one of these new ones and compare it to the older ones I have to see all differences.!
yeah i begged and pleeded to remove the syringe, the email said they will start using hard tipped pipettes with a bigger fill hole.

I just recieved my first pack of E2 v4's along with some RY4 from COV, I didn't know what to expect as I have not tried any of these products. I loaded up a cart with the RY4 and dripped a little on the coil, and gave it puff, it tasted dry and weak. I figured it be the 100% VG and not wicked fully, or it may be just the liquid that I didn't care for. I decided to let it sit for about 20 min to see if that would help. While waiting I loaded up a cleaned, and modded, Joye 510 cartomizer with the same RY4 just to check the juice. It produced good vapor, throat hit, and taste. so its not the Juice. After this I screwed the E2 back on to my Ego, and got the same result, weak vapor, almost no throat hit and dry tasting vapor. It might need a little tweaking to get it to perform like I want. I defintely won't give up on it, but it may sit for a while, as these modded Joye carts or working like gangbusters right now. I may have to thin the juice with some unflavored pg nic, or try the PTB mod on it, either way I know I will get it to work right, its design seems sound.
I remember 4 cells they must have been wired in parallel. My son brought me a metal kazoo and it looks to much like a crack pipe or something so I didn't research the voltage or anything after that.

I've only opened a couple, they both are 2.6 ohm, no filler, no glue, no primer, can't tell if they have the plastic sleeve or not, yet. Put them on a 801 battery with an adapter and they are working perfectly. A lot of vapor, great taste, as good or better than any of the earlier versions after being tweaked, and I haven't tweaked these at all, using them just like they came out of the box. And no leaks yet.
There was no filler in the package and I couldn't feel any on the inside poking around with a needle. The only issue so far is they come without condoms, but I've got a ton of them anyway. I'm definitely going to have to stock up on these.
