yes all the ones i looked at today the glue is only in one spot and looks liked the assembler tried to dab a spot on and then turn the outer tube into place as the glue stuff is smeared but does not go 360 deg around. i use 90/10 pg/vg (thin juice) and as soon as i add my liquid in, only a couple drops you can see it absorbe into the alf and then right down in between the outer tube and conector and on to my fingers. then the tube will come right off with little to no effort at all.
i'm going to have to lay off buying the latest and greatest stuff untill they are refined and work if there is a bad one it seems to find its way to me. i think when a new product comes out they should sell them at half price or more beta testing untill they the find out the bugs and get them fixed heck i could have bought 2 boxes of e2's xl's and come out cheeper. dont get me wrong i like all the products i have from gotvapes up untill the vortex's .

Again sorry your having issues but again it seems that a small amount of ecf users are having this issue with a very very small amount of people emailing, I opened up more then enough and tested more then enough before hand to know there isnt a widespread problem, No we wont be selling things half off becuase a few have issues and thats lunicy to even mention, I dont want to even get into names of other products all over ecf that dont properly work (more issues then anything we deal with)yet they sell for 100 bucks a pop or take a hour to assemble and still leak so please lets not go there.

WHat I do not appreciate Is the few with some issues(still not sure how only a few have issues and there whole pack is bad )but then come on here crying that the whole product line is bad because they had a issue, If I see this continuing I will start deleting posts. This isnt referenced to you timothy but to Some who cry a river on our forum because there one pack was bad, There is something called a pm or email. if your having a issue then your having a issue, this doesnt mean that everyone else is, and just because the 5 to 6 people on ecf gather in one thread and discuss thier issue in tandem, again doesnt mean there is a massive issue.

Unless many of you have found the magic bullet elsewhere where vaping is heaven lets not turn a few issues that some might have into doomsday for a product Gotvapes released.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

I hope................
I know Chris got some to test but I sure the factory sent them some that they carefully put together. That way they would buy them.
It's the same everywhere you show your best to the buyers then send out the stuff from the production line.
I do want to say I have not blamed Got Vapes and I'm still not blaming them.
Hope the factory gets their act together though.

Again thats not the case and the issue is not widespread, a few bad ones doesnt equate a bad line.

These where tested for over 3 months, if we where to release the first few betas then some of these comments would hold true but that isnt the case so its not. Im not worried about any blames, that is what we are here for but again lets not turn a few issues into doomsday. over 1000 packs sold, less then 30 complaints in total, I do not call that a massive issue, some of those complaints where actual issue while half where user error and like always hundreds of emails(yes not an exaggeration) of people loving them and swearing they are better then anything they have tried before.

On my third fill with one, still vapes great. Other two are sitting on my desk standing on the battery end, refilled last night, no leaks.

One of mine did develop an overnight leak from the battery end. Not massive, so I don't think it's the wick slotting problem. Maybe time to break out a little of my corn starch glue. This one was un modified in any way, so I guess maybe the glue seal wasn't complete. I think maybe the gasket suggestion someone had might be a good one.

Ill keep researching more pieces, I did have one leak but there looks like a hair line fracture at the base, now i cant determine if its from shiiping or not, or just not put on properly or the seal isnt good etc... but we arent hearing of any cracked tubes as a issue like the ce2 clear so I will keep investigating the issue some are having with the leaks and pass it along to the factory and have it improved.

I have 3 sitting on my counter with juice in them
first one- the wick was not lined up with the notch, so I had to take it apart. Put it back together without the ALF. It has had juice in it for 3 days and still no leaks. But it still has that plastic taste
2nd one- worked perfectly without disassembling, but still has plastic taste. No leaks
3rd one- worked perfectly without disassmbling, but still has plastic taste. Very slight leak- not enough to be noticeable until I pick it up and then I have a small amount of juice on my fingers.

The first two have 70/30 Mad Hatter Smooth, the 3rd is OMFG Tobacco (70/30). Since both juices are 70 PG, I don't think any of my problems are related to juice viscosity. I keep going back to these things thru the day HOPING that plasticy taste will go away. But no luck. I really love everything about these- in theory. I just can't get past the odd taste they are adding to my vape. 3 days they have been sitting there with juice in them. If the plastic taste is still there by this evening, I'm giving up.

YIPEE!!! Home at last
Here is the thing and I am standing by this statement..... These are not perfect. Yes there are cheaper alternatives. Yes they sometimes leak (again not perfect). There is a learning curve for some of us on how to vape so as not to get a burnt or bad flavor (user error). However these have the potential to be my magic bullet. I am not blind I see the flaws but as I recall when my family bought or first PC,a commodore 64, <insert laughter here> it was ultra expensive and had major bugs in it. In essence it was a piece of %$#@. I still used it ..... I knew there would be improvements. I waited until the modifications were made and now I have to buy a new one every 2-3 years becuase of updates. I am willing to wait on this and keep trying it as I am pretty sure once I ffind the one for me it will not need updates and it will be all good.

OK, a second thought. Don't cringe, Bad.

I opened the second pack, and the first one is working perfectly. No leaks. If they all would work like this I would say I have found the perfect system. So they do have a lot of potential, and if I can find out why my first box leaked, I may be able to fix them. In the meantime, i do like the mouthpieces, and have started to use the mouthpieces from the bad batch with my clearomizers instead of the black tip that they came with.

I have vaped on and off testing through three packs. The Vortexes I rotate in and out are left standing on my desk. These are actually the only atty or cartomizer/clearomizer I have ever used that show not one drop of leakage. This is for reference only:

Thanks RT - no I'm actually using one of our adapters...if you have one that leaks and you feel up to it (its fairly easy), put your carto on a battery and wiggle the tube off (make sure your carto is empty of course).

Clean off the connector by rinsing, etc. and then dab or smear maybe a corn starch paste around the base where the tube slides back over (or any gluey substance you feel comfy with). Twist it in...let it dry for a bit and then try again. Also while you have that tube off, look down at the base of the connector underneath the metal coil base and make sure the white gasket down there is seated properly, if its loose, etc.

On the cato in my picture to the left I actually removed the alf strip and didn't even use glue to reset the tube, I just twisted it on...absolutely no leaks, so make sure you check that gasket area.

Hope this helps you...and yes PM me your address about the other thing...

same to you and your family, again , my rant was not intended for you or some others, just an overstatement so some understand, we do fully understand some people have issues and we are here to help you out as we understand the issues that some might exerience. I dont like hearing people have to fiddle with the product and thats why we will do what it takes to make it as much of a open and vape solution as we can so there isnt a bad few in the bunch.

btw, how do you make this corn starch paste? and will you still be able to disassemble the vortexs to clean if the corn starch has settled?

Mix corn starch with a little bit of water (a little goes a long way) until you get a thin paste (think the consistency of Elmer's Glue). It's about as strong, maybe a little weaker than the cellulose glue that came in them stock, so it's pretty easy to pull it apart again.
