just checked the temp of the tap water on the cold side... 33F ( tap near the utility room) 36F ( tap in the kitchen).... now the lettering on the handles are true... it is cold now ;)

I doubt the water heater could even keep up with heating water that cold..... normally, in the summer, the hot water never runs out ( could take a shower for 2+ hours)... last nite my shower lasted 11 minutes before it went cold on me.

For some strange reason I had thought Urlacher was the dog. .. now I feel bad and am going to have to re-read every post concerning Urlacher...

It stopped snowing sometime during the night, with a few light flurries first thing this morning. .. we got around 3 inches from the looks of it. Maybe four. I can't really judge size, it's not in my dna that way but you can't see any blades of grass or anything and there is a pile of snow on everything. ..

The snow plow operators were diligent and the main roads clear by 5 am. Although they made another pass around 6:30 perhaps for fun. ..

I bundled up and cleared off my walk and porch of snow, then went for a brisk morning walk... that was a long time ago though... since, I've showered and dressed, done a load of laundry and made breakfast.

In short, same old.. lol.. hubby, per his usual, is still snoring.

Current temperature = 8 degrees

Same here. 24/7 coverage on the local news pre-empting regular broadcasting. Store shelves picked clean. Everything closed. Locals are all jacked up and excited. LMAO!!

How much snow are they calling for there?

We didn't get much because the flakes were small even though it snowed for more than 8 hours straight...

Since it's the same system I cant imagine it being much different there...not much by way of accumulation. ..

We're approaching an inch now. Can still see the tops of the grass blades but wont be long and they'll be covered. Don't know what we'll get. 1 - 4" depending on where you live. It warms up starting tomorrow so it wont be around long.
