Urlacher is the name of PaPaws dog ;) what needs to be figured out is.... did Papaw name the dog after his sons nicname for here, after his son, or did his son use the dogs name as his nicname? ;) Ill bet Robin can figure this one out ;)

And now I’m giggling at the idea of John being so fierce he scares off all strangers from the property.

Same here. 24/7 coverage on the local news pre-empting regular broadcasting. Store shelves picked clean. Everything closed. Locals are all jacked up and excited. LMAO!!

Careful with that LMAO’ing!!! From what I hear you don’t have much of it left!

Someone posted there was a new Papa John's opening up. I told them their box tastes better than their pizza. I was told to sell my house and move to another state. :)

All that pizza talk here made me glad I just made one over the weekend. I used to make it deep dish style (sort of - maybe more like Sicilian style) but I’m into thin crust these days.

This one has fresh chopped garlic and sautéed jalapeños stirred into the sauce. Fresh mushrooms, fresh diced tomatoes, fresh grated mozzarella with a little Parmesan and pepperoni. It was spicy and outstanding!

Downed with flu-like symptoms this week, not THE flu, thank goodness, but miserable all the same, shortness of breath, rattling chest, racing heart. Hate it.

Thank you retic! LOL - what do I have to grumble about! Weather could be waaaay worse. What's really annoying is that it's exactly what I had about 8 months ago. Hard to breathe, wheezing, racing heart with the slightest amount of movement, no appetite (well, that's one good thing :)) and slamming fatigue. I hate it!!!

That sucks. For flu like symptoms perhaps a hot toddy might help.

I really hope you get to feeling better very quickly!

Hey BK, Kkay, all you others getting weird sub-freezing cold snaps: Don't forget to leave a faucet running at all times (just a thin line, but more than mere dripping), or your pipes will freeze and burst.

That's a giant mess NOONE wants to have to deal with!

yup... the City officials got on TV and sed to leave a stream running about as thick as a pencil... but they didnt say run both hot and cold...

and for todays kids.... imagine this...

kid: texts mom.. TV sed to run a stream of water as thick as a pencil... ( send)
mom: yes thats true it keeps the pipes from freezing solid...( send)
kid: Im supposed to let water run all the time?? ( send)
mom: yes... untill it gets over 32F ( send)
kid: until what gets over 32F,,, the water or the air?? ( send)
mom: the outside air temp...( send)
    kid: ohh okay (send)
mom: okay... have a safe nite ( send)
kid: uhhh mom?... how thick is a pencil??? ( send)
mom: huh??!?!?!?!? what do you mean??? ( send)
kid: comeon mom, seriously who uses writing tools anymore these days... ( send)
mom: next time call me on the phone :grr: ( send)
