And this weekend temperatures here supposed to be in the 60's.

Im such a wimp.... went out to get my mornin Monster...
had on my 2 pair o sox, tenny shoes, big puffy jacket, gloves, 2 T shirts ( 1 short sleeved 1 long sleeved), jeans...
its only 25F outside and I now have freezy feet and hands and cold in general. how in the world did people survive with just fur type clothing during the Ice Age????

I'm just tried of the cold......Got called and was asked if I wanted to work or stay home...Well that's a silly question to ask me....They've hired a few more drivers which is good. But we don't have enough trucks and they called around yesterday for rentals and were only able to find one.

we still have alot of bridges/overpasses shut down here... didnt do any runs yesterday... might get a couple later today if the rest of the ice melts off...
Ive got a 2' long ice cicle hanging off of my gutter near the back of the house... life is getting weird people..

the wifey had a "blonde" moment.... weve been having some "issues" with the local raccoon, it decided the opening to the laundry room floor beams would be a good place to take refuge from the cold weather... I told her to put some Clorox in that area to keep the raccoon out... she ( wifey) sed the .... was still under the laundry room... I asked her if she put clorox in the area, she sed she did... so I go to take a look... she put clorox in the area... the jug... still unopened sitting in the hole....

Made a run to the store and while it is sunny and getting into the 20's there isn't much melting yet. But it is starting...

It will be warmer today, maybe the snow will go away now. Still cold, but it just hit 32 deg. My mom got her electric bill yesterday. When she told me how much it was I nearly fainted. I am dreading the mail now for sure. My bill should be here in a day or two.

Always. Only they approach it from a woman's perspective.

Thank you retic! LOL - what do I have to grumble about! Weather could be waaaay worse. What's really annoying is that it's exactly what I had about 8 months ago. Hard to breathe, wheezing, racing heart with the slightest amount of movement, no appetite (well, that's one good thing ) and slamming fatigue. I hate it!!!

Yuck! Sorry to hear this. Self-pampering is in order! Take good care of yourself. The flu is running rampant around here too. I had symptoms like yours yesterday, and still feel shaky today.

For the past couple of days here we have started out with clear blue skies. Then the planes cross cross the sky leaving persistent contrails. An hour later we have thick dark cloud cover. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Back when I had no choice but propane it cost me $500 - 700 a month to heat this friggen place in the winter. My elderly neighbors who keep their house real toasty spent $900/month. Myself, along with a couple neighbors shagged down the natural gas company who happened to be laying new lines to a shopping center just outside our neighborhood and asked if they would lay lines in our neighborhood. After some canvassing they agreed and we got natural gas now. Now it costs $150 - $250/month. We all told the propane companies to themselves.

Papaw's son is using the dog's name as his ECF name. He joined long after Papaw talked about the dog Urlacher. (spelling?)

Just hopped on "Nextdoor", our community website for North Raleigh. Covers about 2500 people in 22 neighborhoods. The thing is lit up. HAHA! People posting, "How to Drive in Snow" articles.

Directions for driving in the snow in southern states: Don't. Stay inside.

Someone posted there was a new Papa John's opening up. I told them their box tastes better than their pizza. I was told to sell my house and move to another state.

Urlacher was originally John's dog. John is a lifelong Chicago Bears fan who does NOT change his loyalties with his zipcode. ( ) Somewhere between Wives, John gave Urlacher to me. Everyone says that it's my dog now. Mamaw even refers to him as my "shadow".

Downed with flu-like symptoms this week, not THE flu, thank goodness, but miserable all the same, shortness of breath, rattling chest, racing heart. Hate it.

Have you gone to the doctor? Racing heart is not a fun symptom!
