That's a good rule for some things. Others not. I replaced a capacitor in my upstairs AC for $12 about three years ago. It 's still working. Beats replacing it for $6,500. Replaced the capacitor in my downstairs AC for $15 a year ago. Beats the hell out of a new furnace. 50/50 if I'd mess with David's speaker. If not too much of a pain I'd do it otherwise I figger if one goes, others are not far behind and I'd look for a good speaker set on Ebay. They're are all kinds of deals on there for some great speakers. If the toaster goes, get another one. :(

Well, major appliances (heat, ac) are different because of the cost. I have swapped out capacitors in gas packs, and thermostats/ elements in water heaters myself. But even that has it's limits. When the water heater leaked, John and I replaced it. The gas pack is the same age as the house (1998) so it will be replaced in the next year or two.
But TV's, stereos, etc.. pphhhht. It's just as easy to go to BestBuy or Walmart.

Yes, in most cases you're right. Used to make sense to bring stereos and TVs in for repairs. Not anymore unless you have one of those metric azz-sized ones.

So I set up a DigiFlavor Siren 2 and currently have it sitting on an eleaf Pico...
My goodness, this thing absolutely pumps flavor !

While watching Kingsman the Golden Circle. You would have to watch the first movie (Kingsman the Secret Service) to get the characters strait, but the sequel easily matches, if not exceeds the original.

And that Invoke sure does look fine! Has to be some great gear to set all those REO’s aside.

Today I’m retrying the Wotofo SMM that I thought had a bad positive pin. The Sigelei Kaos is running it really well. I thought about getting another, but after having two IPV’s go bad in the 510 connectors, I’m thinking I should have more than one brand of mod.

I covered the Invoke, the Berserker and the Siren 2 in the Hardware Thread.
And I couldn't be happier with all of it. Watching videos ( :p ) and reading up with all of the gear that is out there these days pays off
I am already contemplating another Invoke...

It's beautiful Robin! I love the dining room set and the light fixture! You have great taste.

Thank you! I love decorating and can pull things together from different stores. The guest bedroom with the twin bed set, I bought the comforter from one store and just keeping the theme color in my head bought the throw pillows and lamp from other stores.

Thanks BK I'll give that cap a go this weekend....

In my case it's not as simple as Just buying a new one. These are the speakers I have with a different name.. Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer - Monoprice.com

Now if I was to go and buy a 4K UHD HDR TV it would have HDMI 2.0 on it. Well to get the high resolution super color I'd have to get new HDMI cables. (monoprice is a good place to get those). And because I run everything through the receiver to get surround sound I'd have to get a new receiver with HDMI 2.0. See how that goes? On the low side I'd be looking at about $1500 to $2000.

I have kind of a cheesy little wifi extender. Long story short, this new Nighthawk wifi I have completely covers my house with a nice strong signal in both 2.4 and 5.0. Everywhere except the far end of the kitchen where I have a TV with a roku on it. I run that off the extender which was located 5 feet away from the Roku. I was getting a 30 on the signal meter. Tonight, I moved the extender right behind the TV one foot away from the roku. The signal shot up to 67. The people in the TV look more real than I do.

You can really save the $$ if you shoot a lot too. Ammo has really become expensive (and hard to find).

Good morning Army!
