Thing is the guy has plenty of money. He just doesn't want to part with it. He comes from that segment of the populace who are often referred to as tightwads. Wont say who and spark a fight. :)

Admirable restraint.

So, he's both an animal abuser AND a liar.

What was that you say about being "otherwise good people?":mad:
That was before this escapade. My view of them has been lowered several notches. Known them for 14 years too. I guess you never know some people. I sort of forgave them after the dog. It was their son's dog and then he moved out and left them the dog. They were a bit ignorant about how to take care of dogs so I let it slide. But then after this cat I couldn't hold it in. He took it. Cuz he knew I was right. He should not have animals.

Hi Fran, did I miss where you said your husband is happy to be home?
Well,I'm not sure but he is. The pain from the pancreatic attack is gone but the liver pain still present. Looks like our only hope for that is the chemo. First session on the 23rd.

They're friends and neighbors. Otherwise good people. I just don't understand how you can treat animals that way.

better not go to Youtube and do a search for Dairy cow abuse... you will never do dairy again after seeing that.

Been meaning to ask this question before. Does this ad bug anyone else besides me? Who does what this guy does?

Well I do. I dance obnoxiously all over the place. He’s eating healthy, he’s got his blood sugar under control, he’s exercising, spending time with him family, walking the dog. Actually, that might be the male version of me :)

Or most meats for that matter. The conditions they are kept in are really difficult to see. Not that I’m a vegan or anything, but I am picky about where my meat comes from. And then sometimes I throw caution to the wind and get a Wendy’s bacon cheese burger

I loved the agility competition. My dog would love that! In fact both of them would probably do well on it. Little Cassie is quite the acrobatic jumper believe it or not. My problem would be jumping over what I wanted, not what they wanted. Both of the dogs are very fast runners. You can't hardly beat a good Border Collie though. They were made for that sport. We had one when I was a kid. Border Collies can be hyper, and they are good about getting out of your fence. They are so smart it is amazing though. I love to see them work sheep. It is poetry in motion.

April, I've got a couple of cows now. I'm getting ready to have them bred. If one of them has a male calf, he will eventually go into the freezer for meat.

I don't want to do that, and I know it will be difficult to take an animal that I've raised and send him to that fate. But I've decided that I'm ready to quit being a hypocrite. I eat meat and I will continue doing so. So I have two choices:

    (1) Continue being a hypocrite and eat meat from the grocery store. I have no idea what that animal was fed, what it was injected with or how it was treated. But chances are good that it was fed stuff I don't want in my body, injected with all sorts of antibiotics and it probably stood in a crowded feed lot knee deep in poop.

    (2) Quit being a hypocrite and raise my own beef. Let it graze on grass pasture on my 16 acres supplemented with good grass hay. Give it good shelter and clean water and let it have a good life while on this earth.

Dress them up and take them trick-or-treating.

    Provide them with regular exercise.

And allow them to live gentile, sophisticated cow lives.

And this begs the question....would that calf have been better never to have existed?
