Kinda quiet around here...

Kal's HP laptop is going to Geek Squad tomorrow. It randomly goes to a grey screen.. weird lines. Not so nice when he is trying to complete an online test.. Spent an hour on a chat window with HP. It's a hardware problem, so they will fix it as it's only 10 months old.

We had a beautiful day here. Dried up some of the 4-day-straight rain we had.

DH's paperwork and payment has been received for his CWI (certified welding inspector) class in June. He'll be in Pascagoula, Mississippi for 2 weeks; the testing is right after. Exciting and scary all rolled into one..He's been teaching for over 20 years. Big changes ahead.

Pascagoula huh?? Not too of an exciting place.... must be going to the ship yards area....

altho an 1/2 hour to the east is Mobile and an hour to the west is the Casinos... ;)

From the paperwork we read, he won't have time to do much else anyway. It discourages family from coming with... They had classes closer to us (TX) but this one worked better with his schedule.

Good Morning Army. David, a trucker has a day off on a bright, sunny day ? Take yourself out to lunch and enjoy the day !
Bridget, PC issues are a bummer ! Hope you get ti fixed soon. As far as "career change", it can seem uncertain but it happens all the time. It'll be good !
I think I'll pass on new tech. I got a few eleaf and an Inbox, and went back to my VV Reos.
"Old School is the Best School" as us geezers would say ;)

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Bridget, there is always a call for that line of work. I hear it pays well too, so that is a double bonus!

FranC, most of us are pushing 60. So we aren't far behind you at all. You are certainly no GEEZER, and you don't act like one either. After reading some recent news, I'm glad I'm not young anymore.

Things are still mushy wet here. We may see a little sun later today. Then tomorrow night I think it is, we get more bad weather, as well as Wednesday. They are calling for some of the storms to be strong to severe. We already had 13 days of rain out of 26 days this month. Two to three days MAYbe for this month, might be normal. This is just insane.

Hubs had his first chemo session today. So far no big side effects.
What a relief that he got his first treatment. That's a big hurdle in itself. Next one is that he satisfactorily recovers from it. Sounds like so far so good. Keep the faith!
