I am/was (a fan), but I fear the evil empires got the better lawyers - wouldn't have my hopes up for that :/

BTW - running Linux since Kernel 2.0.34 (Suse 5.x it was, after having been a beta tester of windows 95 this was the time I decided 'nuff with the (censored) ;)

PS: SCNR but this EU data protection law is the worst. It does not only apply to Internet giants with a huge legal team, but to every entity storing any data of any individual (storing can mean a piece of paper here). SO in essence youth soccer clubs need to provide data protection information to every player defining who has access to what data (phone-number in case a game is late e.g.) and for what reason. (which is someting that many clubs here are having headaches about - not a theoretical example)
Another example: Take you fav bar where you got credit. So John, the bartender is keeping a list of what you had through the course of a month. In theory the business must provide you with a data protection sheet that informs you that your name is on a paper list and John (and maybe the boss Jim) have access to this list in order to keep your tab open.

    It's just plain stupid :)
Aww crap , didn't realise they went to that extreme , sounds like something the diseased minded politicos here would come up with . Still will enjoy them butting heads in court with the aforementioned evil SOB's though . BTW which linux distro are you using now ?

I'm hoping Hula see's this . There's a Purevpn extension available for Firefox now . VPN made easy , connect ,disconnect with a click of the mouse . Another reason to drop the key logging , spyware ridden Google Chrome to the curb . I haven't touched Chrome since I found out about it being persistent . After you shut it down part of it remains active and continues to log you . Google , Apple and of course the evil empire of MS are on the crap list for the EU's new data protection law . I'm not a fan of the EU but I hope those three get reamed in court by the EU .
I have Firefox installed but rarely use it. Been thinking about it.

I just can't stand the thought of a company going to that length to steal your data , as in Google with Chrome , it hust pizzes me off .
I don't like it either. I just need to do something about it. If I remember, Firefox is one of those user community designed browsers. Can't remember the correct term but something like that.

They are open source meaning anybody can look at their source code , it means if they were to attempt to incorporate spyware they'd be outted pretty quickly , especially by the Linux community .

I see's it. I do! Love it. Just got hubs a replacement hard drive - 2 T, 16 G memory and.. ! ...Windows 7, the last thing MS ever bought out that was decent ...well after they pulled all the bugs out about 3 years after it was issued of course.

Think no more. Use it, and Duck Duck Go web browser. Why? Because you're just like me n retic - ornery old sods who have sore middle fingers because they're flipped so frequently. I only have firefox on my 'puter. I.E. and Chrome and Yahoo and Bing can enjoy my displaying the aforementioned big fat middle one.

I have used Firefox for years. The past several months I've been using Opera a bit more. I used Opera a very long time ago, but recently started using it again. I like alternative search engines as well. I am tired of the same stuff Hula, it is beyond ridiculous. If I knew somebody nearby, I'd also be doing Linux as well. I have other things going on, and don't want to make a mess of things. I know Retic says it is easy, but I am wary. I tried dual booting, but never got the hang of it, there were issues. Even the processors have flaws, and it is getting out of hand.

I use it but rarely. Need to use it on a regular basis. Chrome was nice at one time but can't say it is anymore.
