Been reading some posts on one of the linux forums by a guy from Scandinavia . This individual wants his linux desktop fully customized ie transparent windows with a frosted ,blurred background etc.etc . Yet the very settings that allows one to do that , he calls clutter . Thinking about inviting him to Louisiana cuz gators gotta eat too . 
Awww, thanks for asking! Ummm....A bit o'wind...? Really I don't know yet. It's forecast for Friday afternoon-Friday evening as being close to the coast of Oahu, (Honolulu and Waikiki where I live), and while it's bobbing between a cat 4 and a cat 5 right now, it's about 350 miles away moving at 9 mph and should weaken over the next couple of days to a cat 3 as it goes by the volcanic "Big Island, called Hawaii" and a cat 1 by the time it spins its wheels near me. Fingers crossed though
. I'm all stocked with Hawaiian essentials though which are...toilet paper and rice No, I don't know why lol..... maybe it stopped the cargo ships coming through during a previous storm and stores ran out.....

Hubs had a CT scan Sat and an appointment with his cancer dr this morning. Waiting for him to get home with the results.

Thanks for the update! I’m glad you are prepared. See, my list would definitely include toilet paper. Then water, coffee and crackers. Rice is okay. But if the power goes out, that’s too crunchy even for me (a crunch freak).

I hear you chief. We're soaked out here too. Add that it is oppressively hot and humid and it's just miserable out there. Got a cold front moving through overnight tonight. Low 80's and a lot less humid tomorrow. The dew point is more important to me than temperature. If it's humid out it doesn't matter what the temperature is. It's just flat out uncomfortable.Morning...I'm so over the rain....

Especially as Hawaiian Electric Co. is pretty pathetic. You only need a bit of rain in some areas and the power goes out. Where I live on Oahu is better than most. One of the shipping lines has already closed down for now, so I'm sure it's more to do with ocean supply lines, which we're pretty reliant on. My emergency supplies include diet coke and I've got lots of that lol.
