What are these heater thingies thou allst speaketh of? I DO remember back in the olden days of heating a bed with a lightbulb in a cageand also a friend of mine got a real bad burn from the old stone bottles they used to prewarm the bed with. Many of the houses in my village are from the 1700's so most were warm where there was a fireplace or a paraffin stove. But upstairs? Nuthin'. I recall well scraping the ice off the inside of the window to see what the day was looking like when I woke up. Brrrrrr
No, that was the house I grew up in. Only a woodstove in the living room and a kerosene heater in the bathroom if you didn't want ice in the tub with you. I guess I am quite spoiled now...really don't miss those days. Thank you for reminding me how blessed I am!
