If I said what I think it means , it'll cause a major ruckus so I'm leaving it alone .I thought it meant digital nazi spies.

I guess it cant hurt anything to set the preferred dns in both the router and devices. Which begs the question...if a device had a different dns provider than my router, which one wins if my device is communicating thru my router? I’m just guessing whichever one is downstream. But what do I know?If it's set in the router Winbloze update can't touch it .
Probably a good idea.If I said what I think it means , it'll cause a major ruckus so I'm leaving it alone .![]()
You’re just in time to put your two cents in.
Setting both is a safe bet for avoiding conflicts .I guess it cant hurt anything to set the preferred dns in both the router and devices. I put it in, and hit enter. I do not know if it worked. It didn't say anything, but the screen did a fast blip, and then went to the next line, awaiting a new command. I will see how it goes. Thanks!!Not a clue when it comes to W10 , the last update wiped out my DNS settings and reset them to automatic . I only use Winbloze for two games and literally nothing else or I'd be a helluva lot madder about it . You can try this .
Set-DnsClientServerAddress -InterfaceAlias Ethernet -ServerAddresses 84.200.69.80
- Open the Windows PowerShell as Administrator
- Use following command
Agree.Setting both is a safe bet for avoiding conflicts .
You can probably set your dns in the modem settings too.Maybe I'm having a conflict. I don't have a router anymore. So I am just hardwired in to the modem. Well, I will give it some time and see what happens.
Is it your modem or the isp’s modem?Well, I don't know how to get into the modem settings. I unplugged all of the wires from the modem, and shut the computer down. I restarted, but I don't think it worked. I will probably flush the cache again. I may have to reset my modem. I won't reset it tonight though. Sometimes when you do that, you have trouble connecting again to the internet. I'm not in the mood to play around with that right now.

What addresses did you use?Not me. My settings are holding on my network card. Haven't tried the router yet.. I did come across something that said the servers are in Germany. Can't find it now.

All the best. Today's prep is by far the worst part - though I hear there's some new meds so we can avoid all those gallons of salty yuck water....hope so anyway. Yep Robin's got a smile and patting your shoulder, I'm sure. Way to go girl!Thinking a lot about Robin today as I’m “prepping” for my colonoscopy tomorrow.
Not only do I miss her (and quite honestly I’m not sure I’ve even processed Chak yet), but I miss the Rick stories. I think of him often and hope he’s hanging in there.
Trying to find it again. What addresses did you use?
