I just rebooted my router and iPhone. Early returns suggest it is feeling its oats again.
AT&T has massive outages right now. East Coast is more affected, but areas of CA, WA, TX and others also are down. In one area it’s because crews accidentally cut a fiber optic line.

My pages are snappy again since I rebooted the router and iPhone. Has all the previous settings in it. I may give it another shot tomorrow changing the router only.

went to apply for my TWIC card...
my birth certificate has holes punched in it due to being stored in the city's binder, and the TWIC place cant use it since one of the holes has nicked part of a single written letter on the certificate.
was told to go to the courthouse and get another ( 65$) one or... get the copy I have "legalized" ( 15$) ( that raised stamp thingy)... well since its Election Day... the courthouse is closed.
The TWIC place charged me 30$ to verify my birth certificate online... and only then to find out there are major network issues at the moment and nothing can be done till the issues are solved...
so now Im down 30$...
soooo... I need to go to the courthouse tomarrow, spend even more money to get it done ( the stamp thingy) and do this all over again...
so basically something that should have only cost 125$ and 20 minutes of processing is turning into 160+$ and 2 days of BS...

That is stunningly absurd! It’s clear that bureaucracy intentionally wastes time and money. I’ve spent the last year and a half handling FDA regulation requirements for HHV. The incompetence is mind blowing. Their online tech looks like it’s from 1999. It functions about as well too.
Example: 11/8 is a major deadline for the industry. So the FDA decided last weekend was a great time to “upgrade” their system. The result? Two systems vital to meeting the deadline were down for the planned 3 days. 3 days down while an entire industry has to meet your deadline?!? Then the upgrade failed and it was down for several more days. People could not log into their accounts. If they could log in all of their data was gone. That’s literally months of work gone missing!
I could go on but I’ll follow @retic1959 ’s remarkable self control and end my rant for now. We met the deadline over a month ago for HHV. But thousands of others already in a state of intense anxiety due to the outrageous requirements had to face even more anxiety. And that makes me mad!
The incompetence and complete ineptness of our governmental bureaucracies is beyond comprehension. The waste is astounding. They pay 10 times more and get 10 times less for their (i.e., OUR) money, with no accountability whatsoever.

I'm so glad the elections are done for now. The division in this country is worse than I've ever seen it. I hope it doesn't get worse. I feel very bad for my kids and grandchildren.

The division today is the worst since 1968, our progeny are in for a very bad time. The tree of liberty may need water because liberty is dying and not all that slowly.
