Hi yuh Bea!

Well the nurse said at 7:15pm that the rehab was going to pick up my mom. She was supposed to be going by 8pm. They got her at 10:30pm. By the time they did the check in there, it was after midnight before I left that place. Mom told me she was going to work hard, she doesn't want to stay any longer than she has to. It finally stopped raining late tonight, so that was a relief. I'm not able to sleep yet. I told Mom not to expect me until probably after lunch tomorrow.
How long you think she’ll be in rehab?

Lori, I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the innokin eq. What made you choose that one over the Aspire Breeze 2?

I mentioned the other day that I gave all my vape stuff to my son. He's not much of a "fiddler". I can't see him building coils, etc. So these pod systems might be a good solution for him, but I know nothing about them.

In a review on Vaping360, they praised the EQ for its fill method. Unlike many others, you don’t need a syringe or needle nosed bottle to refill it. They also liked the vape quality which they felt was among the stronger, and the best flavor. I liked the look of the EQ more than the Breeze 2 — rounded edges vs. square. The finish of the EQ is rubberized and for such a small device (and me being a klutz) that seems like it’ll be less likely to slip from my hands.

The Breeze 2 replacement coils do look to be cheaper than the EQ pods. But Breeze coils are kanthal & cotton while the EQ’s are ceramic. My Nautilus days made me prejudiced against Aspire coils. I’m hoping the EQ pods taste better for a longer period.

I will let you know for sure. I hope all is still going well for you in quitting! As long as you don’t disappear from here. :)

Lori, thanks for the great information!! I went ahead and ordered the EQ and some replacement coils. It will make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.

I think it may be a perfect solution for him. And, since he's using the cleanest burning juice in the galaxy (Fresh Grindz), those coils should last a long time.

The replacement coils are $3 or $4. If they only last a week, that's still about 1/10th the cost of smoking cigarettes at a pack a day.

It's going pretty good. I haven't had a puff in about 2.5 months. Been chewing my fair share of nicotine gum, though. :)

I'm not going anywhere. I've got too many friends here to leave. Vaping is what brought us all together, but it's not what binds us any longer.

I love your answer about what binds us here! And I agree wholeheartedly.

I hope your son likes the EQ. I hope I do too!

Bronze, I don't know how long she will be in rehab. I hear the average time is two weeks. But I think in a few days she would be good enough to go home. She called me on the phone this morning. She woke me up, and wanted me to come take her home. It has been a tough day. I have been over there for hours trying to tell her why she needed to stay. She is mad at me. So I don't know what will happen in the near future. I even had family members call her, and tell her this was the best thing. She didn't buy that. I missed lunch because of it, and just came home for a little while. It has been a draining experience for sure.

Evening... Back from Christmas gathering at my sister's. Thank goodness for volume control on my hearing aids. o_O A dozen kids under 10 and 30 adults can be very loud. But it was fun..:)

You’re not the first person to use volume control in such settings! :)

I’m glad you had fun and a good meal (I’m guessing). Now you get to kick back with a beer and some quiet.

As the saying goes, “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”

RIP, Breville espresso machine. We had about 6 amazing cups from it. Now it has failed. When I plug it in, the pump runs continuously even before I press the power button. From what I have read, it’s a failure in the electronics. Parts for it are no longer made.

C’est la vie. :)

Aw... that’s the hardest part. She will get over being mad at you. This is for the best, as you know. Hang in there! Sending you a hug.

Yes there was food and I took a six pack of Bell's Christmas Ale. Couple of those helped. Some leftovers are in the frig for tomorrow..;)
