One thing about aging...wisdom that comes only from time and experience starts to have a payback that becomes quite obvious

glad it worked out well for you!

I think I am finally about over with the upper respiratory stuff

Nice to hear!

I really feel like if he pays for his next vehicle he'll take better care of it.

I agree with you on this, and stand with you in being glad he's okay!

----------------

I finished the first two books in the trilogy I started.. Turns out the last book won't be out until tommorow so now I'm sitting on my hands.

I've tried to start two other books and they both seem duds.. lol. Cant manage to get past the first couple pages in either. Maybe I'm just stuck on this trilogy now.. haha.

Hello Army. Yes, I am still around. Mostly in the General Vaping area, plus the thread Lori mentioned.
Really getting into my DIY NET these days. Found about three flavors I absolutely love, and maybe three or four others that are also very good. Will be ordering more this week, and getting busy in Mamaw's kitchen again. Which she will have something to say about...
Still trucking. 28*F with a wind chill of 9 in West Jefferson this morning (just north of Boone). Looks like our unseasonal warm spell will be coming to a close. Passed my DOT physical easily yesterday, so I will stay at it for at least another two years.
Note to Parents ; Boys wreck their first vehicle. Make sure it's not your own.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Ain’t it good to be loved? :)

Glad to know all is well. Good luck wrangling some kitchen time! Hint: send her out with some extra cash for lunch with her friends. ;)

I love a series of books. When you pick up the second you already know the characters and it's just awesome. What series?

Well I guess I'm fortunate he made it 4+ years before it happened. It was a 2000, LOTS of miles..

Evening....Weather did a 180....temps mid 20s and wind chill in the teens along with a little light snow...
Same here Bud. Not quite as extreme as you but we were 70 yesterday and only 50 today with high winds making it seem colder.

That's pretty good. Pops is pretty much right. Most boys destroy their first vehicle right quick. 4 years...he was on borrowed time. Hopefully he learned a lesson and mom doesn't have to knock him over the head.

Woke up this morning to winter wonderful and the trees drooping down with the weight of the heavy ice and snow. The next several days will be below freezing so nothing is going to melt and we'll remain under threat of a power outage for days.We had several power blinks today but so far so good.

I read a series of historical fiction books by Terry C. Johnston about a mountain man back in the early 1800's. I think the series was 25 or 26 books, and it was great to follow the man's life from start to finish in book after book.

It's been 10 or 12 years since I read the series. If I ever get to retire, I intend to read it again. (My memory is so bad, it will be like reading a whole new series. )

    7000w propane generator.

That's what I want. And I want a 1,000 gallon propane tank to feed it.

Propane isn't the most efficient fuel, but it never goes bad like gasoline does. Diesel would be my second choice.

1000lb tank would be nice. We have 2 100lb tanks.
