The small base brushes look like mine. My first Sonicare had the large base, screw on type brushes; it died after several years of use by myself and my Kentucky born and raised lovely wife (she has all of her teeth, shoes and got some larnin').

I've seen only two different styles. One has a big base on it versus the other. As long as you stay within these styles I think they will work accordingly. But I certainly am no expert on Sonicare replacement heads.

Football:

Not thrilled with the Super Bowl teams, but I most certainly will watch it. I love all football no matter who is playing.

Fran... good to see you. I might have missed how the celebration went, if you didn’t touch on that, I’d love to hear about it. If you feel like it. I’m sure it was lovely.

Bronze... best wishes to you and your new partner! I love mine and when I use a manual brush I just feel gross, like my mouth just isn’t clean. I use the brand name heads, I have the one with the little blue light thingy to clean the head. The girls have them too. We go thru a lot of heads :)

Hubs gathering brought an amazing number of folks out on icy roads. It was great to see some old friends I haven't seen for awhile and I was surrounded by my family. All 4 of my kids and hubs kids along with the grand kids and great-grands.I spent the night at youngest daughters so I wasn't home alone.

These Sonicares go back and forth 33,000 times a minute. It would take me a year to do that with my manual brush. I just hope I don't brush the meat off my face and be left with only a skull. So yes, I have to believe these things are far better than a manual. Certainly, that is all I hear from users, reviewers, and dentists. As for the blue thingy, I took a pass on that. I use enough Listerine to recommend it for a stock buy. But I am looking forward to using this thing starting tomorrow. Based on what I'm hearing, dentist visits are usually much better after using them. :)

^^^ Whats the wooden thing sticking out of your drip tip?

Woot woot for new ejuice from HHV.. it arrived!

No, it's a voltage tester that screws into a 510 connector. The Mod is a rare REOS VV Stabilized Woodvil. In fully functioning condition. Even Mamaw says it's pretty nice !

I'm kinda laughing at myself. When it comes to hygiene, I am a creature of habit. For my entire adulthood (40 years) I have used the same dandruff shampoo. I never had dandruff either. I only bought it cuz it was on sale and never got anything else after that. I've used Ivory soap for 40 years. It didn't smell girly so I stuck with it. I even use the same plastic soap dish I bought 40 years ago for 49 cents. Still use Crest toothpaste and blue listerine for my mouth. Same as always. Still use that green speed stick for the pits. I even shower the same. Hair first, face second, torso, left arm, then right arm, etc.. I use two towels. One for the shower, one for in-between. 40 years...same routine, same stuff, never vary. So getting this Sonicare is like a sonicboom to my routine. This is big stuff!

@Bronze.. lol! I had no idea the replacement heads were that cheap on Amazon.

If you can stand one more switch to that 40 year same routine, get Listerine Total Care (or the equate version right next to it). Not sure if it comes in blue, but the purple is mint (and fire like Listerine is..) They added some fluoride to that one which is great for cavity prevention.

ETA: set a 3 month reminder on your phone calendar to remember when to replace the head.

Bridget... I do that with my heads (and mascara, I’ve got them synced). I never even thought to get a generic version of heads. I use the soft ones bc my gums like things to be gentle. I’m curious if these off brand ones are equivalent quality. Let me know if you hear anything. And I’m sure in 3 months bronze can let us know as well.

And if we are doing a poll of sorts, I use Sensodyne toothpaste and Closys mouthwash, with no flavor. It’s made a huge difference, those 3 changes, in my sensitivity issues. Also that MI Paste Plus.

Now that I think about it, I was on a trip about 20 years ago. I forgot to bring listerine so I dashed out to the store and got one of those small 8 oz. bottles. In a matter of a few days I got used to that small bottle so ever since I just keep refilling it from the big bottle. I think I’m still recovering from that change. And now a new toothbrush!! I have a gallon of the blue stuff still so I have awhile to think about the purple stuff and heal from this new gadget.

LOL!!! Sonicboom to your routine! Should Dragon’s Fire be nervous?

Routines are great! That’s a few less things in life to have to think about. I’m happy for this change in your life though. I resisted mightily. Never thought I’d be able to endure that sensation on my teeth. Now, nothing else will do.

And thank you for not going into any further detail on your personal hygiene.

A poll! I just started using No Poo to wash my hair. It makes me giggle every time I read the bottle.

I use the Oral B with the toothbrush and dental flosser which I adore - it never ceases to amaze me how much yuk can be blown out with the flosser even after you've brushed and flossed manually.
