I don't have a fancy toothbrush. I just use the manual kind, or a throwaway battery powered one. I want a soft brush, but the last one I got didn't feel soft at all. Maybe one of these days I can step it up, but I don't want the brush to talk to me or phone home about my dental care. If it is IOT, I will pass. (even if I had the money, which I don't)

I just realized today was my 5th year vapeversary! Time flies.

It all came down to a wicked bout of the flu. A cheap, nasty tasting cigalike my oldest happened to have with her (purchased at a gas station convenience store). As good a time as any to quit.

Next day I was at the smoke shop getting geared up with a GreenSmoke kit. Guy there shook his head and said, “You’ll be smoking again.” We were buddies and he loved to hassle me.

Back a few days later for more cartridges at higher mg nic - 18 in the kit to 24.

Not long after that, I ended up here on ECF. Dusty found me on another vendor forum asking about tobacco flavors and he sent me home to HHV.

Thanks to all of you, I moved up to better gear, learned to rebuild and never smoked again! (I don’t count the single puff during a massively stressful evening about 6 weeks after I quit. It gagged me. And it didn’t reduce my stress.)

Bridget... I do that with my heads (and mascara, I’ve got them synced). I never even thought to get a generic version of heads. I use the soft ones bc my gums like things to be gentle. I’m curious if these off brand ones are equivalent quality. Let me know if you hear anything. And I’m sure in 3 months bronze can let us know as well.

And if we are doing a poll of sorts, I use Sensodyne toothpaste and Closys mouthwash, with no flavor. It’s made a huge difference, those 3 changes, in my sensitivity issues. Also that MI Paste Plus.
Soft and extra soft are great. Easier on the gum recession (if you have it, I do!). Sensodyne and Pronamel are some of the least abrasive toothpastes on the market so good choice there too. MI Paste is great for sensitivity and cavity prevention. I'm not familiar with Closys.

I should do that with mascara.. great idea!

A poll! I just started using No Poo to wash my hair. It makes me giggle every time I read the bottle.
I tried that. Actually I did the whole Curly Girl routine for 5+ months. It takes longer than I'm willing to spend on hair, lol! Back to the flat iron! I am still growing out my gray/natural color tho. 9 months in, It will be another year+ since my hair grows unbelievably slow.

Now I just do sulfate free to keep away the dryness. My scalp has always been itchy/scaly and now none of that. Could be the 'no color chemicals' or the sulfate free.

Never heard of it.

I use fresh lemon (squeezed onto my scalp) rinse that out then follow by a shampoo of raw eggs about once per week for the health of my scalp, (can do it daily but its a pain so weekly is good for me) and then use OGX coconut milk shampoo and conditioner otherwise..

Congratulations on 5 Years! Yea!

I'm celebrating for you with HHV Crackberry - this stuff is like really really good!

LOL!!! Sonicboom to your routine! Should Dragon’s Fire be nervous?

Routines are great! That’s a few less things in life to have to think about. I’m happy for this change in your life though. I resisted mightily. Never thought I’d be able to endure that sensation on my teeth. Now, nothing else will do.

And thank you for not going into any further detail on your personal hygiene.
Agree, routine can be good. I go a bit overboard on the bathroom routine but it works. I prefer to spend as little time on it as I can. Not my favorite activity.

General, one thing you will learn quickly on the Sonicare is this: Turn it off before taking it out of your mouth! Otherwise, it shakes toothpaste and slobbers all over the place..
I wondered about that. Thanks for the warning. The model I bought has a timer in it. 2, 2-1/2, and 3 minute options (they should have an hour for April). It even signals you to move to the next section of your mouth. So I'm guessing I'll just let the time expire before prying the thing out of my face.

Lol! An hour would be too much, I do use the longest setting (gum care). 1 gum grat session is enough in my lifetime and I’m doing everything possible to avoid that. I am curious about @Hulamoon’s flossing tool. I could add one more thing.
