I'm not sure.. I left the dog scrubbing to the kids! He did the peroxide/baking soda/dawn yesterday. Abbie said he still stinks. I'm in WV, can't smell it here..
I slept 10 hours.. after 2 nights of 3-4 hours I think I needed it. There's a walking/running trail in Wheeling called Heritage Trail I'm gonna go find later today.
I like how they focus on Washington's role in the Constitutional Convention. One of his less recognized accomplishments (only because he had so many). But just his mere presence at that convention allowed it to happen. Without him, our constitution never gets drafted much less ratified. The man had gravitas like none other. Without the General, the ground beneath our feet would look nothing like it does.

For sure! Today the schools are closed due to icy roads. In Vegas!
I saw our neighbor's teenage son slip on the CEMENT stairs leading down from our place. Looked like he hit his head! I was so scared I started crying, because it looked like a bad fall and I was worried for him. He got up and seemed fine, thank God.
This town was not constructed for winter! Those stairs are slippery even in the (rare) rain.
Thankfully! I felt like Gladys Kravitz peeking out at him. I had just learned that school was closed and was surprised he was headed out for the bus. Anyway, that'll teach me a lesson about being nosey.
I jumped off the roof of a car going 30mph at that age.

You're right, he got right up. Especially since his mom was on the shared landing hollering at him to be more careful and go slow! I almost wanted to open my door and tell her he WAS going slow. But she's a little scary. Her son brags to his friends that she's the "scariest mom in the whole complex!" I sure wouldn't mess with her.
It was more upsetting to witness because he's at least a nice young man who speaks respectfully to adults and looks you in the eye. Minimal, baseline human qualities, but very rare these days.
gripe time....
took a few hrs off of work ( and had to cancel 2 runs) to attend the on going never ending code stuff court date...
when involved in this BS you get a paper telling you of your next visit to the system and on it it says " You will get no other notices" ... oookaayy this is firm, no other notices, good, I have a date and a time to be there, make arrangements take off time, modifiy my whole day around this mess...
about 2 weeks ago I get 2 notices in the mail concerning the "infractions" and another court date ( 3-1) to add onto the already existing 2-22 date...
sooo... off I go to the courthouse and get there 10 min early, walk in and get ready for the security check ( all metal out of pocket etc...) Security asks me if I am going to go pay a ticket.. I said no, Im here for court. He tells me there is no court today and to go to room XXX for a reschedule... theres about 20 people in line as I walk up to the room...
Im standing there listening to the general chit chat at the window and it seems that all the people in line had the same court date and had the same mailed notices in their hands...
now here it comes... instead of sending 20+ people to a line to wait ( waste time) he should have asked us if we recieved a second notice and sent us on our way...
if no notice was recieved then go to the room for a new date... would have reduced the line to about 2 people...
the second notice has absolutely nothing on it about the 2-22 date being cancelled and rescheduled for 3-1, they could have at least added something to the notice about it... but nooooo...
they used a canned form and sent them out not even thinking about the "possible" confusion it may cause... ( obviously it did since 18+ people were just as confused as I )
so, as it goes, the clerk at the window had to explain over and over again about the reschedule notice... all the time lost on her part and on the peoples part...
Government at its finest and proud of their efficient ways to handle things.... and the thing is.... these people get paid rather well....
