Y'all.. this is good. Add 2 tbsp of siracha if you want your nose to run. I added garlic and black pepper.
paleo-egg-roll-soup-whole30-aip

Making myself go to a bunco fundraiser tonight. Like Lori I'm happy to be a hermit.

Thank you - it's YUMMY! I had to clear 12" of snow from the drive this morning and the DH made the soup for dinner. Yes to the sriracha, garlic, black pepper, and a bit of rounding up on the ginger too. It was tasty and light before adding the sriracha. I almost wanted 2 bowls so I could go between them, kind of like dipping an egg roll-some with extra heat and some with comforting flavors. I like hot & spicy and tonight the warmth was appreciated. This is on the make again list.

@WhiteHighlights glad you liked it! It is definitely on my make again list too..

Yeah, labs need to run around for awhile. They are not designed for loafing around the house all day.

This 13 year old fat one laying on the floor next to me right now is happily loafing.. But he does stay out all day (with access to a warm room of the house) and acts like a pup when I get home..:)

It was COLD here today. We had snow last night so quite a few school cancellations. It doesn't take much for people around here to panic. I went to work an hour late per the boss, but they crammed my schedule so much I met myself coming and going..:-x Also, a not-so-great DDS in the area retired, so playing clean-up crew now for some of his patients has been challenging to say the least.. If you ever go to a DDS that doesn't have a hygienist, go somewhere else!

The orthodontic office I worked at had a similar situation when a not so great ortho retired. So many people who had 4 teeth yanked as kids (top & bottom first bicuspids) to make room. As adults they often needed braces, surgery then bridges or implants. Most of them had TMJ issues. Sad & frustrating for sure.

Focus on how much you’re helping them. It might help. :)

EDIT: To correct the tooth names which finally came to me! Memory is delayed but still working.

Some of you may have seen pics like this. This is what happens when a jet breaks the sound barrier. Pretty cool!

Yet another example of my attention to fine detail and showing the horrors of using unskilled labor. Give me two tries and...I'll ask for three.

its the method of teaching thats failing.... what needs to be done is that the kids cell phones have a program installed into them to allow the kids access after they take a test on the associated class material...
once a proper grade has been reached, the cell phone unlocks and becomes usable for a period of time... :)

Yet another case of government missing the target. And it's done on purpose simply for political reasons.

It’s almost like the government prefers having uneducated, unskilled laborers. Easier to control? Hmmm.

It’s easy to blame teacher’s unions. IMHO, the problem is far broader than that.

And stop encouraging kids to believe that selfies and having lots of followers matter more than inner character. And stop raising them like little snowflakes. Require something of them!

And so on and so on... :)

We are at record breaking cold here for this time of year. It is 54 deg in my house right now. One more night of freezing, and then heating up with storms. In a week or so is when I normally plant a garden. So yes, this is pretty crazy for my area to have this much cold. The wind chill early this morning was in the mid teens. Yesterday we had a little sun, then the planes took care of that. All day cloudy, then last night it was clear and cold. I saw more stars than normal outside. I had one of my herb plants on the protected porch, and it looks like it is a goner. I covered a bunch of stuff, but I can't do it all.

For some weird reason, it reminds me of this ...

I happened to be there that day - Santa Pod is in one of the next counties over from where I grew up. It was awesome - what you heard as Vanishing Point went past was a "whoosh" followed by "BANG!" :hubba: 386 mph 3.58 seconds for a quarter mile. At the beginning of the clip you might just notice there are large "blinds" behind the car....they were there to protect those in the rear from rocket blast. And it shattered windows in the viewing box above the starting line. :D

I have seen that type of race a couple of times. That was a long time ago though. Drag racing was the thing here. After a while, it isn't as exciting unless you know the people racing. When I was up north, they would do the races in circles which was odd to me. Still I enjoyed them, but you need hearing protection. Now I don't go to any of that stuff anymore.

When I was young they drag raced on the edge of town. Now that area is a major shopping area. I miss some of the old days when life wasn't so hectic as it is now.

I hear some crazy street racing around here at night. Seems to be along Route 15 which is maybe half a mile away. If I know it goes on every night, then the police must know too! It's incredibly loud. I always cringe and hope I'm not gonna hear SCREECH!!! CRASH!!!

It's one of many ways I know I'm getting old.
