Looks delicious, Bridget. We don't have an air fryer. I would love to have one. BUT, my wife has made it clear that (1) the kitchen is her exclusive domain, (2) accordingly, I'm not allowed to buy kitchen gadgets. And she has no interest in an air fryer or anything else that consumes counter space.

Being in a condo makes that counter space even more precious. I think long and hard before adding anything.

Do you get hollered at if you put glasses back into the wrong spot? I'm not that bad about such things... yet.

3 clay pots full of rain, with more to come. We are in a flood warning, and I may have to leave. This is the most rain I have ever seen at one day's event. It didn't even get started till maybe 6p. I have been running low grade fever to top it off.

Thank you for the prayers LA. The rain lightened up now. I hope no other torrential rain comes. I can see the flooding. I'm going to drink some feverfew tea. Hopefully that will help me out. I loaded a couple of things in the vehicle, in case I need to leave.

@kkay59 hope you’re feeling better and the rain stayed lighter than expected.

Happy Thursday!

Oh that pod I ordered.... it’s easy and fine. Hotter than I usually go for, so it’s not quite a replacement, but it’s good for slipping in my pocket when I’m traveling light.

April thank you. I feel a little better this morning. I don't know what it is that I have, but it may be strep throat starting. I took all kinds of stuff for it yesterday. I got wet last night for hours, and it was windy and in the low sixties. That did help keep the temperature down some. When it got up to 100.7 I took the feverfew tea, with a lot of local honey. That seemed to help my throat more than anything else I used. Now it is back to a low grade temperature. I am sure all of the things that I took yesterday, helped with the issue, but it takes a while for it to work.

The water was just about half way up in my back yard, and I live on an elevated position. The water was very fast moving, and it sounded like a fast moving river. You could hear it roaring, which is never a good thing.

I’m sure it wasn’t a good thing to hear that water rushing by, but for me, living in the desert... I would have loved it :)

Hope the fever stays low today.

I went a nice long walk with a friend this morning. Had my whole grain toast and multi vitamin. Now just waiting on the drs phone call (which we all know I’ll miss bc I’ll be in the bathroom or something)!

Thank you. Hearing a roaring river or creek that is within the banks is exciting to hear. When it is well outside of the banks and it is roaring, it is scary. You would easily drown in those rapids, or get killed by hitting a tree with the fast moving current.

I hope your doctor calls with something good to say. Keep us informed.

So the tumor board met and official recommendations are:

Double mastectomy
Possible chemo

Meet with oncologist Tues. I guess they send my tumors out for testing to see if they respond to the chemo meds and I get a score from those tests. Depending on the score will determine if I need the chemo (oncotype and mammaprint).

If I need chemo we do that first. If not, I just proceed to the mastectomy.

Not great news, not horrible either. Fingers crossed I can dodge the chemo.

No hollering. She's not OCD about that sort of thing.

She just doesn't like me interfering in the kitchen, even though I'm only trying to help. I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes, but I have learned to not buy anything for the kitchen or try to re-arrange anything in there.
