Funny how that panic slightly sets in when the thought of being cut off hits. I don't like that feeling.
Even though I can go an insanely long time without vaping, just knowing it is there....
Like I keep reiterating, it is more about the habit than the addiction, but there is this tiny little niggle that remembers going cold turkey and just how awful I felt.

That pretty much exactly describes my feelings about keeping that pack in the freezer. Not smoking them isn't bothering me a bit, thanks to vaping... but the thought of them not being there, being here all alone, no cigarettes, no way to get them.... I swear my BP goes up 20 points just imagining it. :D

Having that pack in the freezer, right behind 2 1/2 yrs of nicotine... that's a good feeling. I'm safe from any kind of addictive panic. :D

The warden has already complained about my ejuice stash in the freezer. I told her to eat more so there's more room.

Food is getting too expensive anyway.

My husband has been strictly limited to ONE bluebell ice cream tub at a time, so there's room for MY nicotine. He said fine, as long as said nicotine doesn't end up in his food. :D

I keep the last of the smokes around for that reason. I was panicking a bit on friday and have spent all night looking for a supply of nic on this side of the border and other backup stuff.

Does the nicotine base need to be kept in a freezer, or will a fridge do?
Is glass or plastic better for storage?
Is PG or VG a better choice for the nicotine base?
Will the VG/PG actually freeze solid, or remain a liquid?

Does anyone have any solid data about preserving nicotine base as opposed to hearsay?

Freezer is strongly recommended. In glass. PG or VG, either one. Neither PG nor VG will freeze solid. It will just thicken while in the freezer.

The best place to learn more is the DIY sub-forum. Especially posts by Kurt (a chemist).

This thread my help. Yes, Kurt is our resident chemist (there are many more that are members but he is Highly regarded as an authority on nic)

Stockpile? What stockpile? Sure, I bought a lot of nic back in 2014 and 2015, but I sold almost all of it when prices went through the roof last year, just before the ban you're now trying to enforce went into effect.

you didn't read the illegal trafficking clause in our deeming regs did you?
the ones that said how much we grandfathered in and what you could do
with it? lets see, over the legal limit and distribution.

I'm just trying to figure out how they'd even know if someone was over the "limit," without coming in (illegally) and doing an illegal search. I'm not going to sacrifice my life or liberty resisting an actual warrant, but they'd BETTER have a real warrant before I'm letting them into my house.

They haven't been able to storm-trooper their way in to discover my {other stuff}, so I doubt they'll be able to get in here and discover my nicotine either.

Civil Disobedience. When a law is just plain stupid, I mostly ignore it -- I don't flaunt my lawbreaking publically, but I've never bent the knee to stupid laws, and I'm not about to start now.
