I am not sure the EQ is getting or even needs a total redesign. The EQ could do very well in it's current form factor, as long as it works the way it is supposed to. That is where DC needs to focus it's energy right now.

I don't know what total redesign really means- Michael has our feedback and can get more if he wants to ask- where he focuses his efforts and how far he decides to go is his decision.

Certainly there are some electronic issues that need to be addressed- It would be wrong of us to speculate weather that requires tweaking of some circuits or completely rethinking parts of the device.

Same goes for the UI and the form factor - now that they are going back, i suspect there might be some more open discussion about how likeable the EQ pad really is- Some seemed to think it was OK but does anyone really love the way the EQ pad works? - its possible that it could be modified/made easier without a complete redesign. One thing for sure, we all loved the pump and the EQ adapter.

I think if DC really wants to be successful with this, they should take advantage of the fact that some 2 dozen individuals had thier hands on the device for some period of time and garner some feedback based on realworld experience. While perfection might be subjective, I think we ought to expect the device to perform with the same percision as other VV devices costing 30%-50% less- in particular the Darwin and ProVari which most of us hold up as a standard. When the device says 4V it should supply 4V...

Also, I question why if the device is measuring resistance on the atty constantly, we can't have it displayed- one of the things I love about my ProVari and I've heard similar feedback on the Darwin, is that I can read the atomizer resistance without having to unscrew it and put it on a meter-

I could go on, but I think the important thing here is weather DC takes the opportunity to improve the device based on our feedback, or simply fix the one acknowledged issue. Surely, there is a limited market for a $300 device, I think not addressing some of the issues we uncovered may really limit that market.

to me the only innovation on the EQ was the pump and the ability to feed and fire at the same time. I can get juice to my atty by squonking my bottle and than fire the atty but it'd be kinda hard to do both at the same time hitting a single button. if this feature is not there why would I need an EQ? I have a vvmonkeyboxx and and a VVali'i that do everything else.

Standing Buy for round #2

Waiting for my shipping slip for my odds and ends.

I hate to say it buddy, but this time I think I'll have to agree with Drum and MisterD and not stand buy this time. Too many new innovations in vaping come by so quickly and I feel by the time the new EQ comes out again, notcigs Mike, the provari guys, evolve and maybe even one of the great wooden box mod makers will have a mod which will make the 3ds alpha/Eclipse/EQ obsolete. I will be standing buy with you in other pre-order lines my good friend...

As long as they come out with a similar feed system. The one thing I can say about the feed system is there's nothing like it and I mean nothing. It's a brilliant design and I hope it becomes an industry standard. Mario did an outstanding job designing it.

One thing is for sure...time is of the essence here. That's why from a financial standpoint, I think it's wiser to make the necessary fixes on the 1st generation EQ and re-release asap. All of the wishlist stuff can be added on future versions.

All this talk about how they did the right thing is pretty ridiculous. It's apparent they went into this underfunded. Hence, the pre-order money collected just to get these things built. The servicing expense would have been huge. This recall was about keeping this thing from becoming bank-breaker. You can say they are doing right by the customer, which they are, but this is about financial necessity.

is there anything else special besides the pump?

I refuse to kick these guys while they're down. Trust me, I'm sure they feel terrible right now. Michael and Mario are stand-up guys who always try to do the right thing and we're fortunate to have them attempting to make a difference in vaping. That's about all we can ask. Beyond that, I think they did the best they could with a bad situation. Hopefully, they will learn from that experience and come back with the product that we all envisioned.

I'm not bailing, these guys put in to many hours on this project to give up in my opinion. I wish them both nothing but the best and think they learned a valuable lesson here on this project. Great business People know that failures and mistakes happen and keeping at it leads to a winning situation in the end. I really believe that they will provide us with an outstanding PV in do time. After using this PV for a few days now I see the possibilities and a PV that if refined properly will be very exceptional. Am I let down, hell ya I am, but I know whats there and what can and will be if they move in a forward direction improving upon what they have. I'm hanging if Mario and Michael are sticking together on this project, if the team splits then I make a lateral move but I'll still be there.

Well said.

I waited for 8 months before I will wait again to see what direction this goes and act accordingly to the info given as time goes buy. Its not my first rodeo and will not be my last I enjoy the game to much to give up :)

Standing Buy :)

Ditto, I'm in for the long haul and will support each of them in their endeavors, be it the EQ or something else. But right now, too much money and sweat have been put into the EQ to just let it fail. I play this game too and know what it's like being up at 3am in the midst of chaos. It is not fun, to say the least.
