Hey! Just got my itaste MVP today....so how do u erase amount of puffs? Also u mentioned that u charge before it gets to yellow lol is it better forthe mod to just charge randomly or...? Thanks

ALL RIGHT NOW ! sweet

just (3) clk on/off will reset the puff counter

yeah, I like to keep my gas tank at least ½ full and same goes
with my Li-ion batteries, no need to run them down unless it just works out that way

but if I have the opportunity to charge -- hey, why not--top it off, Li-ion likes it...

Turning the device off and on again erases the puff counter :)

Don't feel stupid, it's fine and easily done, you click the power button three times rather than hold it, three clicks off, three clicks on.

SO, yesterday I got a gently used Kangertech Protank from a friend of mine (can't beat free!) and went immediately and got a new atomizer head for it. I took it apart, washed it out (it had a nasty tobacco flavor in it, yuck!), placed the new coil head in it after it was dry, filled it with juice, and fired it up. I quickly noticed the wicking issue, lots of burnt hits. So, I loosened up the seal and let the wick breathe a bit, and that helped some. But, I keep having a problem with it. Admittedly, I take huge hits off my vape and run at fairly high power (usually 8 volts/4 watts) on my MVP, but my iCLear 16 handles it like a champ. Am I doing something wrong?

I've noticed that with my PT2 I can't run above 3.8v without it tasting burnt using a 2.5 ohm coil.

Thanks for that zeps!

I wouldn't have had an idea what to search for so that helped. :thumb:

The unitank interests me a lot and it's cheaper than a PT2 at my local store.. any experience with the unitank or opinions?

NOPIE never used unitank, they are kinda new plastic, big

I like small capacity so I can re-juice more {minis-t3s & protank}

then everyone should have 5 evods (at least) :p

Not a fan of Evods, mine always seemed to leak, so I gave them away. My iClear 30 tanks leaked until I realized that filling them past the max fill line. As to any of the bottom wicking tanks, I would always get the occasional burnt hit over 8 watts when using 50% VG and higher juices. I found that after replacing the flavor wicks with a small piece of hallow 2mm silica wick. Smooth sailing after that. The iClear 30s is a champ, but the tanks and head are a little hard to find. You can fill it to the top, and I've gone an high as 10watts with a 2.0 ohm coil with no flooding or dry hits. It is a juice hog though.

I converted a cig smoker to the MVP...
At my work, the smokers step out back. I was out there a week ago, and a guy who works at a doctors office down the strip was smoking when he saw me vaping.
I told him about it, and showed him my MVP.
Today, he came over and showed me his! He was really excited, and said he had smoked his last cigarette.

hey markallmon

a couple things

first off, fill with juice and allow PLENTY of time for wick to get saturated
then start LOW--vape for awhile, see what ya got, break it in (it's not a race)
then start to climb up your scale SLOWLY till you get to a flavor you like (on either V or W)

maybe got your #'s backwards? MVP only goes to 5v--and starts @ 6w

don't worry about power numbers, just get your set up screwed on top
set MVP down low {V or W} and then just gradually start increasing
until your happy with the vape it is producing...

then just VAPE YOUR FACE OFF

If that's the case, then I guess I got a little dyslexic with the voltage/wattage. Lol. "I'm new, I don't know what to do". Lol. Anyway, figured I'd update you guys. I did a bit of research and kept hearing about removing flavor wicks. So, a short youtube search later and I removed one of the flavor wicks. I cranked that dude all the way up, chain vaped it like it was my job, and NOT. ONE. BURNT. HIT. I couldn't believe it. Now I know what to do, and I hope it helps any other newbs out there. Trial and error baby. Gotta love it.

ALso, I know I've been all kinds of off topic on this thread, but you guys are really helpful. As far as electricity and circuitry, I'm as lost as a baby in the woods. SO, I've been wondering what the practical purpose is for all these ohm ratings on clearomizer heads mean. Does a higher ohm rating mean it can handle more power?

I never have used an iClear 30, I've had the iClear 16s that came with my MVP and they worked awesome, a bit of a juice hog like you mentioned though. I have used an eVod though, and I thought they were a pretty solid little tank. But, I also used them on my eGo twist so I don't know how they would have held up under high power situations. I do know I'm a big fan of the BBCs. They are easy on the juice and it just makes since to me not to have to work against gravity for juice delivery. IDK. BTW that's the eVod I used on my MVP for a very short time when I first got my MVP in my avatar pic. :2cool:
