Finally, finally, finally got to the bottom of it lol, took a while . As for pulling wires out , i suppose it could happen if your overly rough and yank the pin much much further than it's supposed to go but i have not heard of an o ring fix ever causing this so it's complete here say.

O rings rule , learn it. live it , love it

Not over tightening stuff also rules. I've never had a problem with my MVP's pin. But if they work for you, then so be it.

I bet .. there is so much useful information on all these threads!
Yes, it is a 2.0, started with a 650 Vision battery with a Kanger T3s top, however very quickly upgraded to the 2.0 with the Kanger Aerotank. Couldn't be happier with the 2.0. Liking the Aero tank but I do go thru coils like crazy. Maybe the dual coil set up?

No matter what APV or Mech I have or may get in the future the MVP always has a place in my line up, love that box. The MVP 2 was my first VV/VW and going strong, so very sentimental.
I agree. I still use mine daily. And as soon as I can get my hands on a DNA 30 chip, I'll be hacking that into my MVP because I'm used to the feel of it and I think it's sturdy construction.

Ok, so I just got a Magma RDA clone by Infinite in the mail yesterday. I'm fairly new to rebuilding... just got a KFL+ clone a week or two ago, and had only rebuilt my kanger heads before that, but hadn't ever really had an issue with anything not working like I wanted.

I built the Magma last night with a 30g kanthal microcoil @ about 1.7 ohms. Terrible burnt hits after a few minutes... it was probably that it wasn't wicking fast enough. So I tore it down this morning, and decided to try something more simple.

I did about 6 wraps of 32g kanthal spaced evenly apart, which got me to 1.9 ohms according to the ohm reader on my MVP and my wife's itaste vv. I wicked it back up (after watching a few youtube builds with this device to get wicking ideas) and put it on my MVP... nada. It gives a resistance reading of "0.0"... If I try to fire it, I get nothing but a solid green light that stays on a couple seconds after I release the button.

I took the atty off, checked resistance, and got "non" as expected. I double checked that there weren't any visible shorts in the build and didn't see anything. I put the kayfun on the MVP and it fired. So I put the magma on my wife's vv, and got a resistance of 1.9. It fires right up and hits like a dream...

Anyone have any ideas why it wouldn't be working on my mvp? It worked this morning before I rebuilt. I thought maybe that the 510 wasn't making connection, but then it would give me a "non" and not "0.0", right? Everything else I have works fine. I know I could take this build apart and try again, but I really like the way it's working on the vv and don't want to mess with it if I don't have to... no clue what's going on here.

I'm returning my Magma... The thing sux. Leaks everywhere, all the time. As for the shorting, make sure the POS post is screwed in good and insulator at the bottom of the well is in place along with the post spacer.

I did some more digging and figured it out. I needed to pull the pin up on my MVP... I never tighten my toppers down very hard because I know they can push the pin down, but I guess the 510 on this Magma is a little longer than the others and I snugged it too much. Got it pulled up just a little and all is good now.

Glad you got it figured out. How do you like your Kayfun?

If you want to start rebuilding the coils for the Evods, I have heard that to be pretty easy ( there are youtube vids that show you how )

Of you could go straight for a rebuildable tank like a Kayfun or Russian ( basically the same ) they have clones on fasttech for $15-25 and I have been using mine 2 months and love it. Rebuilding can save a bunch of money vs. buying coils

Just my :2c:

Good luck!

Yeah....uhmmm....(sheepishly raises hand)....uh guilty here. Did the O-ring fix on my MVP2 and my VV. Then tried it on my MVP1 and the pin started to stick so I pulled too hard and POP. I was able to break it down and re-solder the wire to the pin though......

So....now you can say you have heard of one case of it happening, but it was some dunbass that was being impatient and not taking his time.

Right behind you
Thanks for the heads up on the tanks Keirster! Would you consider this a BIG upgrade compared to using the Aerotank?
If I went that route I would have to build my own coils each time correct?
I can't say much about what kind of upgrade it would be, though I do see a ton of people on here using them. You would have to rebuild the coil every time it needs changed, yes, but I built my first working coil just last week or so and it was much easier than I imagined. Mind you mine is a nimbus which is an RDA, not a tank, but still. Worth the money for darn sure! Spool of kanthal and a bag of organic cotton balls set me back less than $15 and it will last me dang near forever!
