Wow, I don't know how I managed to get so many pages behind!

Donesmokin, welcome back, and I wish you a speedy and stress free recovery. Thanks again for the rayon.

I've wicked it about 4 times now all on protanks and I'm sure this is the first time anyone has said this but....i think i like organic cotton better. Maybe I haven't quite gotten the right amount in there or something, or maybe because it's protank coils, idk. You sent enough that I have time to play around with it even when I get some new toppers to build on.

In other news, just had my first road trip as a non-smoker. 6 hours Memphis to New Orleans. Had my MVP and my vv fully charged with 3 toppers loaded with juice. It was great! I didn't spend the whole drive wondering how I was going to get the cigarette smell out of the car, or going between insane craving and guilt when I finally lit one up because my daughter was in the passenger seat . Just smooth sailing! What a great feeling :vapor:

I'm dumb, I lost the screw of the airflow control. I have a generic, don't know which, bought it at FT. I've been stuffing little rolls of paper towels until it has enough airflow for me, I know, but it's working.... And I'm not going to lose a shipment (two a year) over a screw. Any other ideas for the air flow control on the 3.1?

Tiny screws can be tough. The only thing I can think of would be maybe a watch/clock repair shop. Or a machinist shop may have some tiny allen screws. Good luck!

I just got a few things in the mail, and I can't help but show you guys.

View attachment 360784

My MVP 2.0 with a textured "White Carbon Fiber" vinyl skin from VaporBeast (Which was only 3 freaking dollars with free shipping as well!) that gives me better a better grip, feels amazing, and helps protect my favorite little mod. On top there, I have Aspire's Nautilus tank, with their Steel-Mesh replacement tank and a flat drip tip that feels more natural to takes pulls off of. I've never been more proud of my setup than I have now.

I'm not a vender, but if you wanna know where I got any of this stuff, just ask me.
Cheers!

That looks cool.. Love the tank shield :)

And ya, VaporBeast is bad@ss ;)

I recently saw how much J Wraps charges for wraps and that is insanity lol, holy moly man , that is outright theft imo . Three dollars sounds more in line of what i originally thought wraps would cost .

I just bought a five pack of Nautilus BVC heads for $12.00 and change and i here they are fantastic , we will see .

if everyone in the MVP group enjoys the freedom of Vaping and being able to buy all said products and would like to keep this freedom, i implore you to go to this thread and follow the link given by Smokyjoe and leave a comment and make your voice known to the FDA and afterwards send your tracking number to Casaa....it only takes a couple of minutes and all the info is provided.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on my second vaping set-up! I bought a black grain MVP v2, a Pro Tank 3 mini (so I can finally get a bottle of Red Hot Candy juice from one of the local vape shops), and a "Pure" I-shaped red aluminum drip tip, all from 101Vape. Based on all the glowing reviews of the MVP v2 I've read and watched, I'm really looking forward to my first vape mail package!

Hey congrats on getting the MVP! I'm sure you will quickly become an enthusiastic member of the MVP Fan Club along with the rest of us. I have 2 of them in rotation all the time. They are pretty much hassle free, easy to use, and the battery life is just amazing. Let us know what you think when you get it.:)

On the kayfun wicking, it's a bit complicated, too much wick and it will give dry hits, too little and it will leak. Sometimes when you put the chimney section on if you set the wicks before putting it on, it will move the wicks out of position which can cause leaking. Sometimes they are just temperamental, my Russian has started leaking more often, though typically it's the second tank on the wick, will run fine for the first tank, fill from the bottom and it's on and off again leaking. Not sure why haven't investigated any further yet could be an oring thats going back hard to tell. But generally once you get a feel for the right amount of cotton you can get a great vape with very little if any leaking. I much prefer bottom filling my kayfun style setups though my mini requires top filling. Typically I get allot less leaking issues by bottom filling at least in the start.

Oh and I've wrapped a 1.6ohm coil on my new one I got today so I can side by side compare, I gotta say for some juice I'm digging the higher resistance even though it's slower heating. The flavor is actually better on Dutch Apple Pie MBV, at the higher ohm than lower, but the vapor production is down. So not sure what I think yet, more testing with various juices and coils might help we'll see.

KayFun 3.1, top filling - are you keeping your finger over the fill hole while filling?

1. put finger (thumb) over fill hole and keep it there, unscrew the top cap
2. fill tank from the top, do not overfill
3. put top cap on and screw until you just catch the threads, once you catch the threads turn the tank upside down and take your finger off the fill-hole and screw tight
4. wipe off excess juice that might have leaked....and Vape
That's how I am trying to fill it. I know the fill hole needs to be clean because it's leaking from there all the time. My problem is whenever I filled, 1/3 of my juice just went down to collector chamber. May be my coil is too high?

The chimney has to be stuffed with enough cotton so that it doesn't leak or give dry hits. Next time put a little more wicking on the sides of the chimney once you assemble the tube only.
No dry hit though. I will try to stuff a bit more next time.

Thank you both for your suggestion

I am actually waiting for the luker lock plastic needle tip to fill from the fill hole. I heard they can get damage from metal needle tip. So till then have to top fill it. I will wrap to 1.6 ohm next time and see how it is. First try with micro coil I got 1.3 ohm and it's the best out of all the tank I ever have. Have to play around more and see what suits me the best. Other than wasting juice from leaking, I truly enjoy kayfun 3.1

I tried filling from the top and it can be done but after reading more info on the Kayfun i just use the fill hole , to prevent leakage i also wrap the screw a few times with that white plumbers tape, no leakage at all since.

are you talking of the KF 3.1.......if you have to wrap the airflow screw somethings wrong, also the fill hole on the 3.1 has no screw it has a side injection port with a rubber grommet, the more you use it the sooner it will wear out.

....come on 1am, can't wait......

Just another side note of my stupidity today, I filled my kayfun not paying attention. Well I've got some flavorings for DIY, from MBV and those of you who have them know that unless you look closely the bottles look the same. Well I had been mixing at my bench, apparently I didn't put away my strawberry flavoring. Typically I've got a DIY strawberry mix sitting there for my dripper, well I grabbed it and topped off my kayfun with it. Then switched to the other one since it was tasting almost bitter figured my taste buds were acting weird no biggy I've got other flavors. So a little bit ago I tried it again thinking it's been 9 hours, still bitter and actually it was worse. So now I'm thinking hey maybe this low ohm coil is burning the wick or something I'll rebuild it at 1.5 and try that. Same taste but worse;) Well I switched back to the other one again thinking about it, then looked at the bottle I used to fill it, just flavoring... no nic and man was it terrible at 100% concentration. Since I just wicked it and coiled it I drained the tank into the flavoring bottle and refilled with my mix which apparently I had picked up off my bench and put back in my vape box. And still quite bitter, blew through the tank to try and more less blow off the flavoring but I'm not sure it's possible or my tongue is just borked at the moment. Either way I can fix that, now that I know why it was tasting so badly. So this is a PSA of sorts, learn from my stupidity don't vape pure flavoring it's not a good vaping experience by any stretch;)
