There is a forum post for sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 if you would like to read more. I like my MVP butI wanted a tube. I debated the SVD, Vamo and sigelei. The sigelei seemed to be the best built and least complaints about button failures. All stainless, good machining and threads. I got the round top which has Provari styling. The flat top is different. Once I figured out the menu and how to set it, I have been real happy with it. I bought 2 18350, 2 18490 and 1 18650. During the work day, I use 18490 and carry a spare. Weekends I use the 18650. Sometimes I use the 18350s and I could stack them if I wanted that much power. I worried about the gap in 18490 or 18650 mode but it isn't an issue. I didn't like how the SVD outer shell just ends over the inner shell.

Whoa! Ain't none of that sounds good. Despite their best efforts you showed them though! :toast:
Yes indeed it seemed I was on a 4 year cycle in between surgeries, 2002, 2006 & 2010 was the last, so hoping for the best this year.
Game changer has been Vaping rather than smoking. Made a huge difference in my health overall. Fingers crossed at this point :vapor:

My wife saw a Z-max mini at the vape store she wants...Any opinion on pluses and minuses on these units? BTW, Good to see you again, Hope you are well- Dave

I have owned both the Vamo & the Zmax. The Vamo lasted about 6 weeks before there was issues with the buttons failing which made it unusable. I've had the Zmax for over a year with no problems. I run it with 2 stacked 18350 which will give me 7 - 8 hours of vaping.

I love my Zmax. It's very solidly built and has plenty of heft to it so I'm not as worried when it falls over or off the table....feels like you could use it as a weapon! Larger clearos and glassos fit it very nicely and look great on it. I, too, have to run mine stacked with two 18350s if I want to get anywhere above about 5-7W (it goes up to 15). My only complaint is that it doesn't remember your settings when you change batteries (no matter how fast you do it), which means you have to press the single button something like 28 times total to get everything set back. 3 presses to enter the menu, then once each to scroll through, then wait and allow the menu item you've stopped on to open, then press to set that item...then you have to wait for the menu to close and start all over for the next thing you wish to set.

Note: REMEMBER to always set it to "RMS" rather than "MEAN" output....especially if you run it stacked!!!

The newer versions remember your settings but not what is displayed. I started out looking at a Smok Zmax mini but decided on the flexibility of the telescopic. I have a 18350 mech and could only get half a day off one battery, little more than an ego.

BTW someone mentioned time vs puff counter. The V5 has the option of displaying Time, Power, Ohms, Amps. The time display is stupid as it is only for that puff. You can't see the screen while you vape.

My gf has one so I just asked her. She likes it but honestly fellas that her ego spinner gave more vapor and flavor. I know that it is more an element of the topper but she users the same ones on both with fresh coils so that shouldn't be a factor.

As for life they use 18350 batts but she gets over a day from it. I keep telling her she should have got a MVP lol...

Via a possessed phone thats autocorrect is just silly

I build my Kayfuns at around 1.8/2.2 ohms. It's the best vapor/flavor on any device, and the vapor is quite decent. Plus, the battery lasts much longer.

I use the eVic in 18350 mode for going out and I love it. Doesn't last much but enough to go out, and the passthrough capability enables me to vape in the car plugged in in long trips. Both my Vamo and SVD are not being used thanks to the passthrough capabilities of the three batts I've got now.

Mine is the Sigelei Zmax V5 telescopic. If I change the batteries or even remove/place the battery cap (less than .25 seconds!) it loses all settings except my display settings (which must be the defaults since it "remembers" this one setting. A neat little trick with the Zmax is that if you hold the button down when installing the battery cap, it will display which software version it's running. Mine displays SI V2.0 A which I think is the most recent. Hmm, now that I think of it, THAT was why mine's losing it's settings (gotten into the habit of doing that each battery change! Thanks for the help....it was getting to be a serious pain to get everything reset to my liking each time!! Each time after replacing my batteries and holding the button to check software when placing the cap, it took:
5 presses to power on
9presses to select power/volts
1 press to set to power
10 presses to get to RMS/Mean
1 less to set to RMS
4 presses to select power up
11 presses to set it to 8.5 Watts

For a grand total of 41 button presses for each battery change to get back to vaping!!!! I guess it's a testament to the Sigelei Zmax V5's button quality that it hasn't quit already! :thumb:

I just got a few things in the mail, and I can't help but show you guys.

    image.jpg

My MVP 2.0 with a textured "White Carbon Fiber" vinyl skin from VaporBeast (Which was only 3 freaking dollars with free shipping as well!) that gives me better a better grip, feels amazing, and helps protect my favorite little mod. On top there, I have Aspire's Nautilus tank, with their Steel-Mesh replacement tank and a flat drip tip that feels more natural to takes pulls off of. I've never been more proud of my setup than I have now.

I'm not a vender, but if you wanna know where I got any of this stuff, just ask me.
    Cheers!

Thanks. I think I am not doing quite right from top filling the tank. I will figure it out along more built.

KayFun 3.1, top filling - are you keeping your finger over the fill hole while filling?

    1. put finger (thumb) over fill hole and keep it there, unscrew the top cap
    2. fill tank from the top, do not overfill
    3. put top cap on and screw until you just catch the threads, once you catch the threads turn the tank upside down and take your finger off the fill-hole and screw tight
    4. wipe off excess juice that might have leaked....and Vape

Just did my first micro coil with cotton wick. 1.3 ohm and it vapes like a dream in my kayfun 3.1. Best taste I ever had. Except it's leaking too much into the collector :(

The chimney has to be stuffed with enough cotton so that it doesn't leak or give dry hits. Next time put a little more wicking on the sides of the chimney once you assemble the tube only.

I'm dumb, I lost the screw of the airflow control. I have a generic, don't know which, bought it at FT. I've been stuffing little rolls of paper towels until it has enough airflow for me, I know, but it's working.... And I'm not going to lose a shipment (two a year) over a screw. Any other ideas for the air flow control on the 3.1?
