It's charged. One of mine has this exact problem, and I emailed innokin, who said it was a software issue, but not dangerous. Here're their exact words:

'if the devide has been charged a long time then like this, that means the battery is fully charge. Just the program makes a mistake on judging the result of charging, that will not affect using'

They also told me 3-4 hours is enough, no matter how discharged it is.

Ah okay, thank you!

Discussion thread, started today, seems to disagree. fasttech also makes no mention of variable wattage at all.

Page reads: Please Note: Starting 8/30/2013, we are shipping the version 2

Version 1, chief.

I ordered my MVP from FastTech on 10/11 and it finally came in after I'd bought TWO MVP2s from 101vape :p

Mine WAS a MVP2 from FastTech and it arrived on 11/16... a long wait compared to 101vape :/

Which one would you recommend?

Honestly? Try the first one you come across and go from there; if you've got a B&M nearby, ask if they have any 510 bridgeless atomizers (I'd go with 1.5-2.0 ohm, but up to you), they often go for $4-5.

If you want to jump up to something a bit fancier and well-reviewed (pbusardo liked it, if I recall), you could go straight to the HH.357 (I don't have one, bit of a pain getting it in Canada).

So it's easy to rebuild? I've never rebuilt one.

The IGO's are a piece of cake. I don't know why anyone would ever say they're difficult (unless you have arthritis, or something like that). Honestly, once you get a coil up and running (only takes a few minutes), there are no problems that you'll encounter. They can't leak or gurgle, dry-hits are exclusively user-error, they out perform any clearo out there (once you open up the airhole a bit), they're way easier to build than any bottom coil clearo, and they're a really, really easy to clean. The only drawback is that you need to drip into it, but it holds ~10 drops, and that's probably more than it sounds like.

Was it branded and everything? Glad to hear from someone with firsthand experience.

(also, haha, there goes 'product only went online yesterday' or whatever)

Looked exactly like my 101vape packaging EXCEPT the number had been removed from the plastic shrink wrap.

Another vote for the IGO-L!!
I've got 2 more coming tomorrow from MyVaporStore....and 100' of 30ga. kanthal from Temco (via eBay)....
Gonna try the air hole "stock" this time before I break out the drill!!!:D 3/32" was, for me, a tad large, so I've covered up half the hole with electrical tape.....Works, but looks like ****!!:(
2.0 ohm coil and sterile cotton yarn...A vape that's tough to beat!!:D
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Just about the easiest rebuild I've found so far.

Actually no one did :D I like it a lot. I didn't see a need to drill it but then again I haven't tried one drilled. I only own one and you can't exactly glue it back in if you don't like the vape as much. I think I'll just leave it be until I get another. BTW I put almost a ml in to it at times.

the Fast Tech link everyone is referring to is an old link

but still true --

It is just a picture of the Version 1 MVP and fast tech just didn't seem to
care to change/upgrade the photo and the alternate views
(oh those lazy fast tech employees)

then they sneek a little note in saying : Note: Starting 8/30/2013, we are shipping the version 2

so anyone searching for the all new MVP V2
1)sees the old picture and
2)misses the note & just moves on to find the real deal...

wonder how many sales were lost due to FT negligence

The one you can look up on Innokin's website to prove it's authentic, presumably. Which, to me, settles that question, heh.

It's authentic alright =] It's just out the BACK DOOR by an employee making a bit extra rather than a jacked up price out the front door LOL If it was an actual CLONE, they wouldn't need to remove Innokin's number :p

Anyone have any issues with a protank 2 on the mvp v2?

Sometime today my protank 2 stopped working on my mvp 2, have tried it with beauty ring both on and off.

The protank works perfect on my itaste vv and spinner ( beauty ring on and off again ).

To rule out the battery connection i tried a vivi nova and that worked just fine on the mvp (and again beauty ring on and off )

Also cleaned all connections on mvp and protank to rule out debris

thanks for any help, i just got this thing tuesday

Edit: mini protank 2s work fine as well on the mvp

Did you purchase it from a vendor?

The only problems I have had are

#1 the MVP2 firing pin needs to be lifted
#2 the Protank atomizer needs to be screwed down again

I've had zero problems with any 'full-size' 510 toppers (Protank, Protank 2, HyperTank) on my MVP2. They all screw in until they stop (surprising me, because there isn't any excess tension) and then work perfectly. I can even tighten or loosen the beauty ring to control airflow.
