Yes. Do yourself a favor though, and get one of those IGO rda's. It changed my life forever. It's the single best upgrade I've ever experienced, and I'm pretty much done eyeballing new gear. It works wonders on that MVP.
Which one do you have? I am not sure the differences,(very new to anything not Halo) so being specific is best.

I have an IGO-L, the same as the one KnurledNut has in the photo right above. He'll agree with me that you need to drill out the stock airhole. I did 1/16 of an inch, I think the photo above shows an even wider hole. That's sort of a preference thing. But between drilling out the airhole and using some wick that's better than silica like the Triton (I use cotton in mine...its really, really fast, and you don't have to mail order for it :) ), it doesn't really matter what resistance you build it at. One of my earliest ones was 3.3 ohms, and it was still way better than any tank or clearomizer I've ever tried. The IGO's are under $15, and you could potentially have it for 20 years. If you haven't looked into it, there's tons of info here on ECF, and videos on youtube (and of course, other places, too.)

The IGO-W looks a little different, but the biggest difference is that it's ready to have dual coils built on it. You can build single or double on both, but the W is easier for doubles.

Hope you go for it!

I will probably look into that eventually, but have no clue what it even means to build my own coil. Thank you and I think I will start doing some research though.

Okay,
I love love love love my MVP2 from 101 Vapes.
I bought a second one for a gift for #2 son.
It came today.
I am torn between opening it to make sure it is functional and leaving it beautifully wrapped for Christmas.
I am nervous because I did receive a DOA iTazte v3 recently and that was a hassle even reporting it immediately. I doubt there'd be any recourse at Christmas if this MVP is not functional.
thoughts?
Please and thank you.
Pat

Go ahead and check it. It is probably fine but you wont know until you try it. I had a version 1.5 for two weeks before I got my version 2. I put the v1 back in its original packaging and you could not it was used. Gave it to the wife and she she got the new one from the looks.

Dan

PS. I did tell her it was the v1 but she is very happy with it.

So- question for you experts-- I got two evod tanks- one fits fine. The other wont screw down enough on the MVP enough to make contact. It seems to thread ok, but just doesnt go down far enough.

any ideas?
Assuming that you know this coil is still good, I have two ideas, actually.

First, remove the coil head from the Evod base, then screw it back in. Test it. It may not have been screwed all the way in. (You've probably already tried this.)

Second, it may be that the positive post on the Evod coil head (the bottommost metal part that makes contact with the battery) is pushed in a bit too far. Pull it out just a hair. Don't remove it by pulling it all the way out, just tug it a wee little bit. Then replace it and try again. Sometimes the positive post gets depressed (sounds like a psychological commentary?). :)

Nice. My wife ordered mine Saturday night. It was "delivered" on the 30th, but mysteriously vanished from our locked mailbox (it was never actually in there) The post office doesn't know what happened to it and doesn't really seem to care.

Next time I want to order stuff on line, just have me withdraw $40 from the ATM and throw it out the window of a fast moving car.

(yeah, I'm a little PO'ed and jaded. I really and truly hope you enjoy yours.)

I hope to tell you soon. I think mine was ordered Saturday night. I say that I THINK it was ordered then because I'm hoping it will be a gift. See, my birthday is the 4th of November. My wife asked me what I wanted, so I had her open the 101Vapes page for the MVP and said, "That! I want that." Two hours later, I was downstairs, watching TV and saw my little girl trying to sneak by. It was hilarious because she ran from the stairs to behind the dining table. Then ran from behind the dining to table to behind the couch. Then ran to the our breakfast table and tried to hind behind that. It's a glass table. She was giggling the whole way and then ran back upstairs. She hasn't figured out the whole stealth thing yet. My wife told me later that she sent my daughter down to get her purse so she could order something from the Internet, "but don't let dad see you."
So, anyway, I am hoping she ordered the MVP. It will until my FT order that was placed exactly two weeks after yours is found. I think both of our packages are hiding out in a corner somewhere like a couple of teenagers avoiding church!

Ok, forgive me if this sounds stupid, but I was under the assumption that with cartimizers you could not change flavors? The only reason I wanted a dripping attomizer was so I could taste my liquids while steeping without having to use a tank. I have not researched them enough about what rebuildables are or how to rebuild. I just wanted something I could use occasionally to test juices. Thanks for any insight.

My first RDA was an IGO-L on the MVP. It is a great way to start. I use microcoils around 1.5 ohms, and cotton wicks. Easy to use, and looks pretty good. It is one of the smaller toppers of any kind I have.

Clean threads with some rubbing alcohol to remove any gunk (official term). Get some Noalox from a hardware store, and see if it threads better. This made my Evod heads thread a lot smoother. Look inside the thread on the Evod, and see if there is a burr on the thread from airholes being drilled?

Thanks! I will try this. I took the coil out so there was only the ring, and even that didnt screw in. So perhaps you are right and there is a burr or some junk in the threads causing the issue. thx!
