Has any one else had a burning desire to go in to a random Provari thread
and type "Just buy a MVP and be done with it" ?

No, I just ordered a MVP from 101 should have it on the 5th.
I have 3 Provaris that are running great I also have a pile of Egos,Lavatubes, Spinners,Vmax etc that have bit the dust in from 3-6mths the cost of which has exceeded the price of all 3 Provaris. Time will tell with the MVP but for $40 I took the chance.

But what is the difference or relation between the voltage reading of the battery vs the voltage setting you change in VV mode?
If based on the wattage I set and the current atomizer resistance would the battery only be able to out put a wattage that is the same or lower than the voltage left?

I think that the voltage reading of the battery is the same as how much gas is left in a car.

The amount of gas I have in the fuel tank does not determine how fast the car will go.

Changing the VV or VW determines how fast it will go.

Ok I hope this doesn't sound stupid - maybe I should be punted back to the new members section. But what is the difference or relation between the voltage reading of the battery vs the voltage setting you change in VV mode? If the battery only has 3.8 left then would that be the highest I could set the vv mode. If based on the wattage I set and the current atomizer resistance would the battery only be able to out put a wattage that is the same or lower than the voltage left?

Pretty good analogy COHG. The electronics in the device allow it to create a higher out put voltage than the in put voltage.

Got my MVP2 from 101vape.com about a week ago. This thing kicks some major booty. I was worried I wouldn't like the feel of a box mod in my hand. That fear was gone as soon as I took it out of the case. It fits perfect in my hand. It's built really well too, very solid. The fire button is stiffer than what I'm use to but it's not an issue for me.

One small issue with the iclear30. It had a bad chemical taste when I first used it. A good soak in hot water took care of that and now my juice tastes better than ever.

If your on the fence about getting one, I say go for it.

Hello guys n gals!

I know this is dedicated to the MVP but i've come to trust the opinions of members in this thread and have a question about 2 other devices i'm considering.

The KTS Storm and the Smok Magneto Telescope, anyone have some opinions on these devices?

Disclaimer: I adore my MVP, it's been without a doubt my best purchase since I started vaping, but...I'm a device ......

Just got an MVP2 in today, comming from a Darwin I have owned for over 2 years, loving it so far.

Initial thoughts;

It is a little bigger then I thought it would be.

I think the button is perfect, I like the amount of pressure required, not to much, not to little, just right.

I got the pack that came with 2 iClear16's, I have not been a fan of topcoil tanks in general, much prefer bottom coil, I guess these are kind of a little of both, as it appears one of the two coils is at the bottom of the tank, and ones at the top, but both are fed with long wicks as far as I can tell.

They seem to be working pretty well, but I still prefer the taste of a BCC, call me crazy.

Liking it so far!

Here's my update after owning it and using it exclusively for 4 days.

LOVE it!

Regarding my comment on it being bigger then I was expecting, I guess what I meant was it was thicker then I was expecting. The Darwin I came from is a generally bigger device, but thinner.

In the end the thickness of the MVP2 is perfect, because it provides enough thickness so that big tanks don't look or feel out of place on it.

I still love the button.

Don't think I will be using the iClear16's at all.

I have tested and used on the MVP2; an authentic eGO-C tank/atty system, an EVOD clone made by SMOKtech, and a Vision Victory Tank (a ProTank 1 knock off?).

These have all worked fantastically on the MVP2, better then they ever worked on the eGO batteries I have, airflow and all.

I really like the puff counter. I have not bothered testing the battery till it dies, but lets just say this thing lasts a loooong time, I bet I could get 2k puffs on a charge with my setup, based on what I have seen.

The use I found more handy for the puff counter though, is measuring how many puffs I get for a set amount of eliquid, in all my various tank systems.

So far I have tested the Vision Victory Tank; 1 ml of a high % PG eliquid, with a single coil that reads 2.3 ohm, witht he MVP set at 8.5 watts, gives me approximately 120 puffs on average.

I am gonna test out my other stuff as well, but this tank has been working so well now that I have a decent device behind it, that I just can't stop vaping it :vapor:

Also wanted to mention my bottom switch protruded out like has been mentioned, I pushed it in with the corner of my darwin :2cool:

Another thing I have noticed, if it is plugged in to charge, and I push the two buttons to show resistance level and battery voltage, it will show them, then after that it will not show anything no matter what buttons I press, until I unplug it from power.

Not a problem, just something I thought might be worth mentioning.

I am really loving the MVP2!

I'm 5'2" and I have small hands. I think it's pretty comfortable in my hand. I use the side of my thumb at the first knuckle to hit the fire button. I'll sit here at home with it in my hand all night. No problem.

The resistance is what allows the wattage and voltage at the coil to be higher than the battery voltage. Volts times 2 divided by resistance. If you look at the chart 3 volt with 2.0 resistance is 4.9.

I've got both the Smok Magneto and the FT Woolston/Magneto. They seem to be solid mechs. A bit heavy for my tastes, I prefer the lighter FT Pisces. The bottom locking ring on both are great, button doesn't stick out too much, threads are buttery. Neither will fire up the AGA T2, but the iClear 30, Boge carto tank, and Protanks are good on them.

Thanks lisa, the magneto is the one I was drooling at mostly.
glad to hear they're decent, all I need now is vape escape to discount it further!

Dan

Hows that?

Power should be voltage squared divided by resistance. Not Voltage times 2.

3V with 2ohm res = 9/2 = 4.5W.

You can get larger voltage drop across the coil by means of other circuity, like a charge pump.

I adore my Magneto. The threading on mine is excellent, the firing button and locking ring are a dream. If you're wanting a mech, I can't recommend it enough. There's a steel version and a brass version, and it can be gotten with or without the Smok logo depending on where you get it.

Hi Archer I just went through the same thing with an order for the MVP2 but a different vendor. I ordered from ICTVape as they are in the same state as me and matched 101's price. I was so excited that I was going to get it in 1 day. Well Thursday I kept checking USPS and all day until I stopped checking around midnight it just said out of delivery. Friday when I checked the tracking it suddenly showed that it had been delivered the day before....! Even my vendor said that when he checked it never showed delivered until the next day. I was afradi that someone stole if off my row home front porch. He was quick to offer to send me a new one and even brought one for me to use at vapercon but I ended up not going as I hoped it would show in the mail. To my surprise a neighbor came today with my mvp. The mailman delivered it to her house instead of mine. Check with all of your neighbors to see if it was misdelivered. I hope you have the same happy outcome as I did.

I've checked with all my immediate neighbors. None of them have it. I even checked with people I don't know who have addresses that could have been mistaken for my own. For example, I checked the people that live at 310 on the off chance that the postal carrier mistook 370 for 310. No luck.

I have considered posting a picture of one at all the mail boxes in my neighborhood (we have community mailboxes) like people do when they are missing a pet, but if someone has it, it's not like they are going to see the "Missing" poster and cough it up.

The steel version is so pretty, that's the one I want and I want the logo..lol.
I'll admit I have a lot of reading to do before I can go grab a Mech, I hear they're advanced compared to what i've used so far.

The MVP will no doubt stay my usual PV but ya know, as I say..I'm a device ......

I think you're right about owning up to the fact if someone does have it, but ya know, it can't hurt.
What's 101 said if anything more than they already have?

101 said to wait a week to see if it shows up. Frankly, I'm not happy with that answer in the least. Maybe if I haven't heard it from FastTech so many times I'd feel better about it. It also doesn't help that they are now "Out of Stock", meaning that after a week, the most I can hope for is my money back. I didn't give them a loan. I want my MVP2!

I have spent three months and $150 trying to get off of Ego batteries. Is there some kind of Illuminati/Ego conspiracy that I'm not aware of?

Ah no way! that's not what you want at all.

maybe there is an conspiracy, the popularity boost the MVP has gained lately might have worried them enough to have the postal service in it's pocket .
Sorry to hear you're not getting any closer to having this whole thing resolved.
