What tanks/other would people recommend for a nice airy draw on the mvp2? I really liked how airy my PT2 is on my eGo, but it's not the same on the MVP (looking at the threads and comparing them to the iClear 30 that came with I can see that the air holes are impeded on the PT when it's all the way screwed in).

I'm going to get an airflow controller, probably from Desert Vapes, since I can do local pickup just down the street, but I'm getting interested in other tank devices as well. Would an RBA work well? I've built a couple of coils for my PT, but I'm not an expert by any means.

I use the beauty ring which comes with the PT2. The MVP beauty ring doesn't work well with the PT2.

Thought I was strange, after reading that so many people had issues with making contact.I stopped looking to feel it make contact rather than keep tightening until I see it won't tighten more.

I've never understood why people crank down their clearo to the battery.
It's not supposed to be a leak tight seal. I hear about people breaking the glass on their protank 2 and mini protank 2 due to over tightening. Really? It's an oring. As soon as you feel the o-ring engage, the seal is made.

First time I've heard something that severe due to over tightening.
When I first started, I'd crank it down until I read the problems it can cause.

I used to always screw it till it touches, then another ¼ turn...

well now I don't even add the little ¼ turn, just till I feel it touch

on occasion I go to take a draw and 'nothing' "Now What ? "
come to find the tank is loose

like stated, your not worrying about a wheel coming off,
or butane leaking out - just go easy ☺

it takes almost nothing to make battery contact (a light touch)

the HyperTank is on my wish list

gets some good words from people and it uses kanger coils

my only concern is it is 5ml capacity (don't really care for huge volume tanks)

but it is glass bcc/removeable drip tip...

I agree with the Hypertank recommendation. The 5 ml capacity and the long battery life are made for each other. I picked up a black chrome one for my black MVP2 and a silver for the wifes silver MVP2. mvp2.jpg The silver is an exact match.

your right -- 5ml and big batt life kinda go hand-n-hand

I'd like to have a good look at a Hyper on an MVP

wish your picture was better (light washed out)

the black chrome was also the one I was eyeballin' ... :p

Just remember one thing, when you adjust voltage on a vv battery, you are actually adjusting the voltage so that you will have a specific wattage at the coil. If you have more than one clearomizer, you might notice when you change tanks, you have to retweak your voltage settings. This is because of variations of resistance between clearomizers.

Variable wattage allows you to set wattage to taste, and when you change tanks, the battery will sense the resistance on the new tank and adjust voltage automatically.

the MVP does both, but not at the same time. If it is in variable voltage mode. It will fire the set voltage every time irregardless of the resistance on the atomizer head. If it is in variable wattage mode, it will automatically adjust voltage to maintain a constant wattage.

I personally like variable wattage because I can switch tanks and get consistent vape quality without having to further adjust my battery.

Some people like variable voltage because they can 'fine tune' the voltage to the exact value they like.

The best example I heard is comparing vv and vw to transmission types.
If vv is a manual transmission, then vw is like an automatic. They both perform the same function, just do it in different ways.

If you push the U button and adjust for voltage, then the battery is in variable voltage mode and will stay in that mode until you press the p button.
If you push the P button and adjust for wattage, then the battery is in variable wattage mode and will stay in that mode until you press the u button.

For more details on the operation of the unit, you can check out the review I wrote for the MVP 2 here:

This is just what I needed!:vapor:

Got a reply back from 101 including instructions for a return and a prepaid return label. Support 101.

Any hope of removing a Jwrap and then reapplying it?

Not trying to be a fan boi but +1 again for 101.

No problem if the J wrap is genuine and 3m Dinoc material, Just hit it with a hair dryer for a minute or two. Once you get it started, keep the hot air directed at the juncture of the separation and keep a steady pressure on the tag end.

Easy Peasy

My PT II draw gets slightly tighter when I use the MVP beauty ring, but not enough to make me wanna go without it. The Mini PT II has a nice airy draw - probably the smoothest draw of all the tanks I have.

I would love it if Innokin could "fix" the connector/pin issue. I know that some of the issues are self-inflicted, but I'm a fan of eliminating as much chance of failure as possible. Other APV's don't have the problems many have with the MVP, so it's not impossible to fix.

That said, I still love the MVP, and look forward to seeing the next version.

I either got lucky or the issue has been corrected on the newer "energy" series release. I have never had an issue with my MVP.

The one firing issue I had was with an EVOD on my itaste and I have since given away that evod and the ego-T's I had with it.

My EVOD has worked pretty well with the MVP. I get some issues with my PT 2, but it is almost always the head to blame - swap it out and I'm good. The tank that has given me real issues on the MVP is the T3s. Ended up having one just not work right after it got jacked up on the MVP. Changed out coils, even the base piece and it kept on flooding. Replaced it with the PT 2, so I'm not too broke up about it. :D

I do pry up the pin on the MVP just a touch on occasion, when the PT acts up. Seems to help.

Same for me. I've only had mine since Friday, but so far, all the tanks the guy told me may not work, work on mine. Win!
