A word of warning to kayfun/Russian lovers, they're not all alike. I've been happily vaping the Russian for about a month now filling the chamber with cotton up to the top of the build platform. juice doesn't leak out the drip tip and it doesn't flood when bottom filling that way. :2cool:

$21.86 Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The Kayfun came in today and I built it the same way. The result, dry hit city!?!? Remembering a RiP Trippers Kayfun build video I used WAY less cotton and kept it away from the juice channel inlets. It works, but you better keep it upright to avoid flooding! :grr:

$16.59 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5ml) - clear tank section / matte surface at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I built it with the PMMA kit but doubt that made any difference. From what I can tell the juice channels on the Russian are deeper than the Kayfun. IMO deeper is better. With my 70pg/30vg blend the amount of cotton used and it's placement made all the difference in the world. YMMV.

$5.12 Spare Parts for Kayfun v3.1 Atomizer - PMMA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

BTW I'm wide open to suggestions for mucking out the juice channels! :)

Where you getting it from? I got this one as it comes with a Nano kit and extra V1 style drip tip: Ehpro Kayfun Lite Plus V2 | eBay

Cheaper w/o the nano kit..

I'm probably going to get this one. I looked at the one you linked to, but I'm a bit concerned by the neg feedback and low overall score. I'd rather pay a few dollars extra from a vendor with a better rep, just to save myself some potential headaches.

i'm still trying to figure out why everyone seem to prefer the KF-Lite when the 3.1 has adjustable airflow and an overflow juice catcher that actually works to save your device....with a Nano kit it's actually quite short....well i guess it's just my preference as the Lite is to others....my HCigar version 3.1 works flawlessly and i'm sold on it...jmo :vapor:

The KFL+ has adjustable airflow, it just doesn't have the "false bottom" juice capture thing. I am open to a 3.1, so I'm still thinking about it. I don't think it matters all that much though, since I highly doubt this will be the only Kayfun I ever buy :D .

I bought one from him... I got a notice that night (like with in 2 hrs) that it was ready for shipping and it went the next day. This EHPro and Nano kit is exactly like he says it is. I took a chance 'cause the neg feedback was so long ago. Was such a good experience, I ordered on for a friend last night at 1am and it was shipped today.

Keirster, did you get a clone or an authentic? I just ordered a clone from SlowTech (should ship tomorrow and arrive who knows when....)

I'm excited to try my hand at real rebuilding (I've been practicing on my Kanger heads for my EVODs)

I have a clone too Dinger, you will love it. Such a difference in flavor, let me know how you like it after you get it. There are a lot of Kayfun users in the MVP crowd.

Hmmm, I'll keep that seller in mind then. Did it actually ship from California? The only reason I ask is because I've seen that some shady sellers end up drop-shipping from China or something, even though their eBay account says they're located in the States.

I'm not too concerned with the Nano kit, but $28 for the atty itself is a screaming deal...I just get a little nervous about the "if it seems too good to be true..." thing ;)

"Leaking KF"...i have no experience yet with the Russian, but on the Kayfun i do.

the only times i have had any leaking was when my KF was brand new and it slightly leaked on the seam rite above the airhole...and this went away after about a full day of use, i figure the o-rings finally got seated/broke in properly and the problem resolved it'self......now the Kayfun will leak from the drip-tip if the o-ring in the top cap is not seated correctly....one of the indicators of this is leaking of-course but another tell-tale sign is when your taking your top-cap off and the chimney is also unscrewing it'self in the process....the o-ring in the top-cap needs to be inside the hole in the cap not flush but tucked inside a tad....and then no more leaking...now if you over-fill then that's another story....

......@Catdumpling, if an accident happens or if you loose pressure in your Tank and juice leaks into your Device, then it will matter!

....@Stierwalt3, that's exactly what i said at first, just don't over do it until you find your balance...and it can be rough on the throat when you get up in the morning until you find it

love to hear from some other folks on Genesis style Tanks/builds for use on the MVP

Other than me?

I thought I talked about genesis tanks here and that you wanted other opinions.

Anyway, I tried a dripper, liked it but tired of feeding it, looked for tank solutions and got an RSST at Desert Vapes for $20. Single coil, 1.5-1.7 ohm, twisted cotton wick. Worked great on MVP, VV3, at 4.0 volts. Got another and filled it with wife's coil clogging chocolate peanut butter cuppy. She loved it. Got 2 AGA-T2s on sale at 101vapes for $14. Same setup. Glass tanks. Loved em and got two more. Little screw for fill hole is a PITA for shaky old people. Gave the wife the 2 RSSTs since they use a rubber plug for the fill hole. Got a bag of 10 post insulators for AGA that fit the RSST and stop center post leaks. Also got a bag of 10 rubber fill plugs knowing I will lose one. $2 each bag. Thinking of drilling out the threaded screw hole and using plugs in the T2s.

No leaks if you keep them upright. I lay them down with the wick side up and no leaks.

There are a bunch of threads down in the Rebuildable Atomizer subforum. Some people insist that you use rolled mesh or wire for wick but cotton works fine for me.

i musta missed or skimmed your post but yea thanks......i been using mesh with cotton wrapped in the middle....i tried several wicking methods and this has been working the best so far for me on flavor with the Prometheus.

I was messing around with coil builds yesterday, and made another 0.8 coil, didn't realize the extra piece I grabbed was a 28 gauge wrapped 5 times around my mini flat head screw driver. But I did vape a ml of juice on the mvp. Then got rid of the coil, I was afraid I was going to blow up my mvp...lol I think I still have alot to learn,

I am now happy with my new coil build of 1.9ohms , 32 gauge wire wrapped 5 times nicely spaced apart :)

.8 ohms is the limit for the MVP. I prefer around 1.0

Sub-Ohming seems to vaporize the juice to a finer particle allowing more nic to be absorbed quicker. There also some notes about the finer particles being able to get farther in the lungs allowing even more nic to be absorbed, more akin to smoke particles.

Oops this is what I ment to do :)
