Well folks.. As some of you may know, my wife was having some medical problems and her doc sent her to the ER Thursday... During the CT scan, they found a Pancreatic Cyst. Well, today, we just got the news that her blood work shows 4 elevated cancer markers (19-9 very high)...

I dunno... thought I say something... I prolly wont be around much...

Hold steady, things have a way of working out !!
I can only imagine your pain, I lost my mother to cancer when I was seven.

Sending hopes and prayers !!!

I used to have that problem with the T2's and other toppers , your right the threads go way too deep and you blow out your eye sockets trying to get a drag .

Best solution so far and i just put one on my second MVP since it has worked absolutely fabulous with my first one is the rubber o ring(size 60) .

So easy yet incredibly effective , when you use a topper that pushes down your pin the o ring nudges it up to where it was before you installed the new topper , it doesn't effect or make it more difficult to screw anything down , if you want to use an adapter by all means do but i have yet to have any issue whatsoever with anything since i slipped it over the contact pin lip .

Actually it has worked so well that i think innokin would be wise to have one pre installed with every new MVP thats shipped, you would never hear another peep about a problem with the pin again.

Does it allow your T2's to breath? I think I will give it a try if it does.

Just raise the pin and slip it over and underneath the pin, correct?

So after half a day or so with the EHPro KFL+ V2, here's my impressions: Overall construction is really impressive, especially for the price (and it being a clone.) The two chimney pieces are ever-so-slightly crunchy on the threads (but not gritty), but everything else screws together smoothly. The juice channels are cut and polished much better than some other clones I've seen (*cough*Tobeco*cough*) and I've had no problem with wicking. Even the little positive build block is perfect, and the delrin insulators are top-notch! I have to admit the plastic threads on the clear tanks (especially the large one) don't exactly inspire confidence, but that's just kind of par for the course with plastic-to-metal threading. I'm currently using the large M-tank though and everything screwed together just fine, so as long as it's not over-tightened or cross-threaded it should be fine. I'm not too concerned though: even if I do end up breaking it, my local shop carries replacements for $3.95 anyway.

Airflow was kind of a surprise. One of the biggest complaints I'd heard about various KFL's was restricted airflow, but mine has more than enough for me! I did measure the airhole and it looks to be about 2mm in diameter, so maybe EHPro made them larger on the V2? Even with the airflow screw set flush with the base, I get plenty of air, so I don't see any reason to modify it. YMMV of course. My only minor complaint is that the airflow screw is really loose, so if you plan on keeping it in I'd suggest putting a dab of blue Loctite or clear nail polish in it and letting it dry for 15 minutes; that should be perfectly safe since juice doesn't come into contact with it. An eGo beauty ring looks like it'll keep it from unscrewing itself completely, but the larger MVP ring might not. Other than that though all other screws thread in nicely and the build deck has flat-bottomed screws to catch your coil easily.

Box is well-stocked with extras: nearly a full compliment of extra O-rings (the only extra it didn't come with appears to be the fill port screw O-ring.) Also comes with the 3 metal tank sections, a short clear middle tank and a full clear tank. The obligatory keychain screwdriver, a (really) short length of wire (appears to be 28 gauge) and several inches of braided silica. Oh, and a couple spare build deck screws...which is good, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose one of those things sooner rather than later  .

Quick note about the included resistance wire: I don't know what it is, but even with 9 wraps on a 5/64" drill bit, it was only reading 0.4Ohms. I even read just the coil with my multimeter and it still tested about the same. Weird. It was also pretty soft, so I'm not sure if it's even Kanthal (could've been annealed) or just NiChrome. It's also possible that I could've just gotten a wonky piece of wire, but I figured I'd mention it. But hey, considering that was the only "off" thing about the package, I'm happy!

I'm currently running a 1.5Ohm microcoil (28AWG Kanthal) at 10w on my MVP 2, and I'm actually using the braided silica that came with the Kayfun. Flavor is excellent, but vapor production is much better than my ProTank! The braided silica that came with the atty is actually working quite nicely, and I prefer it to the twisted silica I got from Lightningvapes (which tasted really strange, even after boiling it twice in distilled water.) I need to go get some more organic cotton balls and try those out; I'm still torn between which I prefer, but I've only tried cotton in my Kanger heads thus far. I have to say, the more I played around with the larger silica wick, the more reservations I have about it: every time I trimmed it I'd notice that "puff" of microscopic silica particles, and my hands and wrists were starting to get itchy every time I'd play around with it. I know it won't go airborne as long as it's wet, but I might move towards other stuff like cotton (I'm also curious to try some bamboo wick I came across.) The braided silica wasn't as bad though, so I might get a little bit of Ekowool to try out as well. I'll save the 2mm twisted silica I got for my Kanger heads or something.

So overall I'm incredibly pleased with the EHPro KFL+ V2 and think it's probably one of the best clones going right now. I snagged it for $29 shipped, but even at the more common $35 I think it's a great deal! I was worried that it would be obnoxiously oversized on the MVP, but it's really not a whole lot bigger than a ProTank (and maybe even a hair lighter weight with the large M-tank.) Compared to most of the other KFL clones I've seen, EHPro seems to have really knocked it out of the park and it's a great (and inexpensive) upgrade to a ProTank!

I do hope my 30 AWG Kanthal gets delivered today though, since my 28 gauge coil heats up annoyingly slowly for my preference. I'd be mad at USPS if their constant random and nonsensical delivery status updates weren't so funny to me.

As you know I love my MVP v2. The only negative thing imho is that the battery is not replaceable. Therefore I've ordered an e-lvt from FastTech to see how they compare. I'll report back when it arrives.

You have to throw away !8650's sooner or later as well. I was not overly impressed with the e-lvt when Popus did this deep water review on it.

Yes - saw that review too. I've also seen the one where a bloke fixes it to the windshield of his car before taking it through a car wash, then drives over it, then vapes it. Because opinions are divided I thought I'd try it for myself. Similarly a new 18650 battery would be cheaper than a new MVP. I'm prepared to give it a try - I'd better be as I've ordered it. :)

Oh - and that toilet....

It's pretty easy to tell when a guy is single isn't it.

My general impression of the device was that it is what it is. It's not water proof by any means but should be water resistant and it looks over all tough. The trap door looks shaky That whole thread gives a pretty good break down. The guy driving it through the car wash was a owner/marketer so I can't give that a lot of credit but it does show it being pretty tough.

As long as you got it at a decent price point, I can't see it as a bad buy and I like the built in charger/plug and go.

For the curious... Prices at ~$58-60 and here for gray: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007702/1668902-e-lvt-variable-voltage-wattage-apv-mod and blue: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007702/1668903-e-lvt-variable-voltage-wattage-apv-mod

Reviews & discussions reference similarities to Innokin mods... interesting...

On a website somewhere I read that it had the same pcb as the SVD - perhaps the Mistavape site? I've ordered mine from FT in the grey. :)

I also like the fact that it goes up to 6v - and of course the flashlight. Who said torch mods were old fashioned ? :)

The other thought I had later was the voltage drop we might get from a cheap spring. I have a cheap mod that I had to replace the battery spring with a coiled piece of copper wire after watching a review that showed the drop from the spring.

I don't think voltage drop is really a problem with VV/VW devices, since the pin is wired to a board anyway (as opposed to an almost direct connection to the battery like mechs have.) I'd think this is especially true in variable wattage mode, because the board is reading the overall resistance at the connection and compensating for whatever that total resistance is.

so I finally buckled to peer pressure :D , ordered a kayfun 1½ weeks ago, to use on my MVP...

like most, comes with clear and steel tank middles, and a bag of o-rings, & tools
a bottom fill & has 510 tip (no adapter needed)
but the biggest selling point of this one for me was:
•Adjustable airflow system (on the side)
•Adjustable 510 connection

so I gave it a going over and it took me an hour to get it apart
pliers would have made it a 15 second job (slick)
the MVP beauty ring is to tall for my like, so I use an old protank kind
MUCH more room to adj/thread UP to take the load off the tank/thread area...

now apart, I wash it and build a 1.8Ω coil w/ 32ga -1¼” cotton yarn
some teflon tape around the small fill screw (not a simple task)…

back together, hit button & vape – well now that’s it, it just vapes
no drama, no mess, just pumps out vapor clouds…
after the break-in-funny-taste leaves, it performs just as advertised
feel I didn’t clean it well enuff so, a 3min soak in wht vinegar resolved that
felt I should play with the air-hole adj, but no need really, ¼ turn from closed
works just great…
so time to play with it, and I find out it HAS NO adjustable center pin (as advertised)
some other CONS pertaining to it:
  • no parts (srews, insulators, wire/wick,)
  • no deep fill hole with o-ring
  • drip tip cavity is to small
  • bottom fill screw does not sit flush

I find it creates “dense” thick vapor clouds, the flavor is about the same
as my custom bcc and dripper attys (was expecting much more to be honest)
the machine work is flawless, threads are precise and ya almost
can’t see the seams between sections, juice channels are perfect…
so far no troubles, not a single drop leaked anywhere, anytime, no gurgles – it just works
$30 bucks for this chunk of metal huh…

- Kayfun Lite Plus Clone

That's a really useful piece of work - thank you!

What I really want to know is - does it leak at all? Through air holes? Any chance of embarrassing stains on the shirt pocket?

tell ya what

was surprised at NO LEAKS

I kept messing around and finally overwhelmed it with vacuum
and got it to drip/run out of the air intake hole...

guess I wasn't happy until I made it happen so to know its limits

and juice being used was CLEAR, so I didn't even know it till it was to late

but very easy to clear back up and not another leak what-so-ever... :D
