Good morning mvp vape friends. Getting a itaste Vtr is become like trying to find a unicorn. So i ordered one for 50.41 from rakuken.com,
get a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number waiting waiting eta is this coming Saturday cool.
So i awake this morning to find 2 emails from rakuken.com saying shipment lost in mail I'm getting full refund and another 2 emails from the company rakuken.com
subbing it from saying shipment lost order too old to resend and I'm getting a full refund.
That sounds crazy to me, I didn't even complain about it was still waiting, sigh
1 company doesn't even send it ignores my emails and the other us so proactive I don't have to complain.
Wth I just want a vtr at a reasonable price sigh

WOWZER, can't believe your bad luck

here's a few places to maybe try...

- iTazte VTR
- Authentic Innokin VTR Variable Voltage/Wattage E-Cigarette Starter Kit
- Innokin VTR Jungle Camo
- Search Results : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
- Innokin iTaste VTR Advanced Box Style Vaporizer

Have you run across the "new" Aspire Bottom Vertical coils? GrimmGreen says they've "replaced my Kayfun" for daily use.

OOOOO! I really hope these new coils are all they are supposed to be. I love my Nautilus but haaaaaate how often I have to change out the coils. I got mine the same day as I got my MVP 2.0 and things are just not working out quite the way I imagined with that duo, lol. Imma head out to my local vape shop right now and see if I can pick a couple of them up to try! :)

I am also very excited about these new Vertical coil design. Here is a reviewer pumping them up to 20 watts and experiencing no dry hits or burntness....I personally wouldn't vape that high but the mere fact that it can be done tells us a lot about the workability of the design..(which is as old as cartos themselves)...Anyways I'm all in as soon as they appear locally.

Since the BVC's are "backwards compatible" you could try some for your Nautilus. $16.99 free shipping for 5-pack:

Ouch....I was excited until I saw that price tag lol...I would be curious to know how long one last approximately. Might make it worth it [emoji4]

I checked with my local vape shop and they looked at me like this: o_O Apparently they know nothing about these coils yet, lol. I might just order me some from Ebay, though. If they last longer they just might be worth the price! I am using my Nautilus at 4 watts, 8 volts with the stock coil and I am constantly having to adjust it. Go to high and it's toast. Toast is no good with a fruity/menthol vape. :)

My B&M vape shop doesn't carry the individual coils yet but they do have the Mini Nautilus in stock (2 left) which comes with two BVC coils....Tempting but I think I'll wait. I'm sure Aspire wants its dealers to sell out their stock of older styled heads before doing a big release. Looks like the places that had the BVC coils sold out quickly which makes me think its a limited release. Any one know anywhere that has the coils still in stock?

everyone was all  with the first aspire bdc
enuff that I finally got one - not very impressed...

then the nautilus came out with that big coil
raves and praise all over, then kinda died out... $$

now this bvc is the hot ticket, so I'll just hold off till
a few hundred-thousand circulate and the reviews hold true...

if I was in need of something that works good, then maybe worth the risk
but with the price $ tag on those things...

guess I'll stick with what I got for now...

Forgot to charge the trusty MVP last night, so I pulled out the backup VV3. Instead of just moving KFL over, decided to fire up the Evod clone I haven't used since the Kayfun arrived.
Some juices are just too intense in the KFL so I loaded a strawberry my buddy gave me from totally wicked and it tastes awesome.

I do so love variety and my vape gear sure gives me that. Clearos mute flavor for me so that it isn't so intense. Funny I haven't used one in 4 months since the KFL arrived. Now I will have another for the rotation.

So, what is everyone vaping on this morning?

VV3, Evod clone from fast tech, 2 ohm at 8 watts with some Totally wicked strawberry...Yum ;)

Kierster - I too am charging the MVP this morning (it's one of those, "rotate through all the devices and get them recharged" kind of days :D)

I love my little EVODs (they're my primary tanks) but I do have my kf lite loaded with my very first homemade "Blueberries & Cream" that I mixed up earlier this week. Sweet, smooth, ahhhhh.

Forgive me for being way off-topic, but I have a kf mini with a 30g, 1.8 ohm coil wrapped around a 1/16" bit, and I CANNOT consistently draw off this without getting a burnt hit. Should I try a bigger diameter wrap? I've played with all kinds of V/W settings on the MVP - I'm seeing the air bubble rise after my draws....

Still pretty new in the kf rebuild world (but I love them when they work right....)

Need some guidance. The MVP is my only mod at this time. Eventually will get a Provari or maybe a DNA 30.

Anyways I'm thinking of getting a taifun or kayfun. Understand Ohm's law and power law fine (minor in physics). But, enough people have done coils now that instead of experimenting I can ask for guidance :)

What gauge kanthal, what size drill bit and how many wraps on coil to use that topper with my MVP? If you know offhand the smallest resistance coil I can use, awesome. If not my lazy self can calculate it.

That juice you made sounds great. I built my first KFL coil with 28 gauge and I think like 8 wraps around a small bit ( can't remember size and have since misplaced it ) it is 1.3 ohms and has lasted 4 months! I does take longer to heat up, but I usually take 2-3 puffs per button push. I use cotton and I usually rewick every 4 days or so.

I would say the bit I used was about toothpick size.

I love my KFL the most, but with intense fruits, I mix them down with VG or just use as is in the Evod now.

Now I want some blue cream juice :(

I dunno Kierster - your straw/nana/cream sounds good (I have neither strawberry nor banana at this time)

It's weird - my kf lite has about the same coil (and no airflow adjustment) and right now it's beastly. The mini, I've tried all kinds of airflow settings, and just rewicked it the other night. I have a 3.1 ES that I believe I did with 32g around the screwdriver bit that came with it - it's also about 1.7-ish ohms, and that has been the SMOOTHEST, EASIEST draw. I broke it down to clean it, but I'm scared to rewick it LOL.

Roxy, I like 30g, but I have a little bit of 32 and 28. I typically wrap about 9 wraps of 30g on a 1/16" drill bit. Usually lands me around 1.8-1.9 ohms. I didn't like running on a 1.4 ohm coil I'd made earlier this summer - just seemed to take too much to light it up :( I believe the MVP may go as low as 1.2 (tho' I've heard a couple folks hit just a shade below 1.0 - I don't like playing there, myself) 32g, I think about 6 wraps on 1/16" gets me in that 1.7-1.9 range as well, but I always have to test....

I think I'm going to redo my mini with fewer wraps on a larger bit, just to see what it does. I have two minis, so I just need to build them up and test 'em out :D

I can't give good answers on diameter and #of wraps bc I use a small eyeglass screwdriver (Phillips head) instead of something with a known diameter.. Works well bc I have an ohm meter (the mvp has one,its just not super accurate,on mine)...

The lowest resistance coil that the mvp will fire is .8 ohms. I've seen many post about being worried to run that low.. But I have for months straight in my mvp for months with no issue other than the case gets a tad warmer and the battery dn last as long between charges (as each hit uses more power).

My mvp might just be wonky/janky in its ohm reader but it reads low.. , fir example a 1.0 coil reads more like .8 or .9. It only has this issue with lower ohm coils.. As a 2.0 reads true as a 2.0. Id doubt my ohm meter if I hadn't confirmed with another and gotten the same reading on 2 others.

Anywho 28-30 guage kanthal is, likely your best bet.. Id try 6-7 wraps and see what that reads..

Good luck!

Edited to add.. Ive seen the math that shows how anything lower than like 1.1 ohms shouldn't fire any stronger on the mvp due to its watt limitations, however my personal experience shows a distinct difference from 1.0 to .9 and .9 to .8. it shouldn't be able to do so from the math and its specs but ime it most certainly does. The chip innokin chose for the mvp must have fairy dust sprinkled on,it... I dunno..

sounds like you need to ‘tighten’ up your air draw
continuous bubbles means it needs more juice (less air)
a few of those little fine bubbles every few hits or so
seems right to me, as it shows the wick is replenishing...

what I do when all doesn’t seem right, is hold finger
over air hole, light suck, and see if it burps
(a big ‘ga-lug’ bubble) tells me it was ‘vapor-locked’
then it starts feeding fine afterwards…

like adjusting your VV, (start low, increase to suit)
I do same with air intake;
close it off (never tight, just light turn till it stops)
then crack it open and test, then continue
1/4 turns (clock) 3-6-9-12...

and it goes hand-n-hand, adjust VV along with air
as needed…

it’s a fine art that is well worth it

5/64 maybe instead of 1/16?

Try it!

The thing is..there is variance.. Mostly from how tight or loose you wrap the coils.. So what one person gets from x wraps at y diameter width and z diameter guage dn mean you will get exactly the same... But it WILL be close.

Coil building is easy peasy ime/imho. Just gotta take the plunge and not be afraid of getting wet. Once most try they say..why did I wait so long!

Plus if you mess up, kanthal is CHEAP! so you errors cost just a few cents.
