Mine last months! Last week I threw away one of the original 2.5 Vapeonly coils that was already clocking 2.7. I dry burned it but it snapped. 7 months on and off use is too much to ask of a coil... And the clearo's been around since Feb 2013, vaped every day...

i still got a 28 ga coil on my kayfun that i bet is 4 months old, have dry burned that puppy many times and it still ain't popped, still works fine and i'll keep using it till it pops.

In all fairness there is no DNA 100watt....Evolv makes the Dna board. I think your thinking of the the YiHi

Yep, yep and ??.... I have no clue why Evolv wouldn't incorporate reverse battery protection...That was Pbusardos only real gripe(Thumbs down). FYI. Innokins DNA chip has it(so it can be done). The .2 part is true enough too. Part of the reason that the Sub-ohm crowd loves the YiHi board.I think it's a good board too.I think the problems we've seen, Shorting, meltdowns, Sudden death..Are enclosure related and don't really pertain to the chip itself. Short circuit protection is something the Dna board Does have unless you know something I don't?

Welcome...

Here's a nice leather case for $10...I've ordered from this seller many times without issue.

Itaste MVP Brown Leather Holder | eBay

The same seller has 12 wraps for $6...

Innokin Itaste MVP Texture Wraps 12 Total in A Single Package | eBay

If you want free wraps, someone here (Capt.?) has info on his profile on how to get free wrap material and a downloadable pattern to make your own. I'm sure they'll chime in and provide what I can't remember, I suffer from CRS (can't remember ****)

It sucks. I'm going back to Marlboros.

Oops. Damn autocorrect. I mean....

This is DEF a step up from my Vision. Lol. So far I really like it. Like to be able to track battery voltage and hit counts. And Ω 's. I've started a chart about how long and at what wattage and voltage i can expect the battery to last. Cause, you know, I've got that love of time with a wife, kids, and a job. Lol.

Just need to figure out a good sweet spot. But that'll come in time.

Oh. And I certainly can't hang this bad boy around my neck. Looking for a :cough knockoff: case for my belt now. Yay Google!

Ive gotten really lucky with my purchases.. First real purchase (aside from cigalikes and a really bad ce4 a couple years back) was the MVP. Then got an hcigar nemesis that im absolutely in love with (like if mechs get better I don't know how or have any desire to learn bc then id have to have one... Oh wait.. Check out my third acquisition) got really lucky and have a reo mini otw to me that someone pif'd on! Gonna have to wait a bit to really use it as ill need new batts, juice bottles, a bottom feeder rda and im going to replace the contacts to go sub ohm.. Then ill be really happy.

Via a possessed phone thats autocorrect is just silly

Holy cow, a Reo mini , thats awesome.

that's really cool, i always liked that kind of work....i was a sheet metal fabricator for 21 yrs and i loved it, was always building something different; Tobacco equipment mostly for Phillip Morris i specialized in stainless cylinders 10 ft in diameter and 40 foot long.......cut and rolled my own metal fitted and tacked it then welded it off and then sent it to the peeps who assembled the motors.....made stuff that's been sent all over the world mostly in Asia....our company made specialized Machinery you couldn't get any-where else.

ain't had a heart-attack yet, but i got diabetes type 2, high blood pressure and my liver has some funky lipid levels from abusing myself in my younger/wilder days and my eyes are getting worse every-day....i'll prob live a few more yrs tho just out of spite and i gotta Vape....i'm ramblin, now to the coffee and the :vapor:

Yeah , i'm with ya Sando , got diagnosed with type II myself a few months ago , depression set in big time. My eyesight went right down the drain as well , i got to be honest , i'm not too fond of aging .

Mine too bro, 28 ga @ 1.3 ohms on my KFL since April. It may last forever ;)

Wow, i replace my coils regularly not because i have to , just because i'm bored and enjoy making new ones lol.

welcome to the High Society MVP club (yea right)
glad to hear about your new addition to vaping

old rule of thumb, add 2.0 to your Ω and you’re real close±
{2.0+1.8Ω=3.8v/2.0+2.5Ω=4.5v} 8.0w is about same, but automatic...

sometimes I just don’t want it in my pocket
don’t wanna leave it sit, so I let it hang around my neck
drop it down inside my shirt when I’m not using it,
works out good on those occasions…
find a nice strap & also option of hooking on belt/waistband
- Sandwich Carrying Case For Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III), Galaxy S4 - Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases

these things are REALLY nice quality (holster leather quality)
- Innokin iTaste Leather Holster
then there is this one (jus`cause I’m into leather);)
- Innokin iTaste MVP leather pouch

so that TDux 30 has a ceramic cup coil ?
do you think it is a better performer than say Aspire bdc or a kanger bcc ?
read about them, never tried any-just wondered

Vape≈Hard

:headbang:

My experience with CE3XL (first bottom coils in the marker) is that the ceramic cup enhances vapor production. Still have some left and compare them head to head to what I've got and are better than most what we're vaping nowadays

Thanks for the links! I'll give them a peek. :)

I believe the TD 30 IS a ceramic cup. Dual coil. I tend to run a little hot, and was noticing I was going through SC's a lot faster than I'd like.

Regarding your SS Formula as mentioned above; add 2 to current Ohm for a voltage setting.... What about wattage? I'm not sure if I can even tell any difference in any different setting I have for that.

At the moment I'm running 4.5v at 10.5w. And in 24 hours, I have discharged this powerhouse battery .2v. lol

Thanks! I'll take a peek. I saw a decent one on the Amazon JWraps Time Piece Designed E-Cigarette Protective Vinyl Skin Wrap for ITaste MVP MOD Vaporizer

We'll see....

I know I said I was looking for something "different", and then I succumbed to "temptation". Here are my new little friends:

View attachment 365185

So that's what a New Wave iClear 16B looks like on a New Wave MVP2! :headbang:

Awhile back CompleteVape had a sale and that's what I ordered. But when it arrived it was a New Wave MVP2 with an Oak iClear 16B.

But it was a GREAT sale, I try not to upset myself over minor predicaments in life and I'm much more concerned with function than with looks...so I'm using them with much satisfaction.

MVP 2.0 inbound. $36.99 with free shipping from Rakuten.com. Pretty nice deal. I also ordered a Nautilus mini and pack of BVC coils from 101vape.

I'll be ordering a higher power regulated box mod, 18650s, battery charger, Kanthal, wicking material, and an RTA in a couple of weeks. The MVP will probably be my "on-the-go" device and the higher power unit my "sit on the couch and watch TV" mod.

I don't have a RBA (too lazy) but GrimmGreen and IndoorSmokers both said that the Nautilus (with BVC coils) had replaced their Kayfuns in daily use.

They both also noted that the BVC coils really "shine" at 14-15Watts (which I found to be true when switching them from my MVP2 to my Vamo V5).

So another "path" to consider would be to get a $31-$34 Vamo (goes up to 15Watts) to use with your BVC's.

Then...you could give the 30Watt-100Watt Mods time to come down from their current $56-$150 prices if you later still found the need for a RBA.

The BVC heads do taste/perform better @ 12-15watts. No Doubt about it. And it's strange that you mention the Vamo option because I just bought a V5 yesterday to use with my Nautilus BVC's. Unfortunately I did not get it on sale....I probably paid too much. 54.00. Gun metal grey with the new menu That shows ohms, watts, and Batt. level.

yeah I just wondered how the two coils compared, if ya ever (Susaz claims :thumb:)

ya figure your Volts (what ya like) then convert to watts (if you want)

8.0w usally does the same (add 2.0)

  • just for the record: either Volts OR Watts (can’t be both)
  • be careful not to overtighten toppers
  • don’t wait to charge (charge soon & often)
  • and as always, don’t drop it on your toe

hey PufZ, instead of leaving them Morgans to somebody after i die i might as well use-um

man if i just still had access to my old fabrication shop i could make all kinds of goodies, we had a hell of a machine shop with every high end piece of machinery you could imagine
and all the tools & equipment to go w/it, makes me drool just to think about it:p........they went out of business 2 yrs after i retired.

I hear ya
if we only had the foresight 30 yr ago to fab up
an electric nic juice burner...

jumper cables / car batt / a grease gun tube / some old lifters

  • That's what I figured..... It's all a circle of math. lol

So........Then how is it possible that I can adjust the volts AND watts? According to the display, I've got

4.5v at 2.1 Ω. According to Ohms Law, that ought to be 9.64w. But the setting is at 10.5.

So what is actually being adjusted?

*****DISCLAIMER: All I know about electricity I learned from Google and Looney Toons. So don't think you're dealing with a genius here. ;)*****
