Yay mine FINALLY arrived after being lost in the system (2 emails and no response but it suddenly shows up in my mailbox). Not really sure about that iClear 30 so I stuck one of my new Aspire Minis, waiting to make sure everything gets good and soaked with juice.

Okay I've done A LOT of reading here and yet I'm not sure where to start out, what to set the VW and VV at. I recall someone mentioning staying about 3.8 vv but????

Give or take 2 ohms above your head designation. If the head is new start low (every head has its quirks, some like low voltages, some high) You'll see as you vape.

QUOTE=Capt.shay;13941361]According to every thing I've ever read about these chemistry's, it is just like voting "Charge early, Charge often" ( My saying not Puff's :p)

There is no evidence that I have ever read that says we should fully discharge these Lithiums. In fact we should never FULLY discharge them as this can damage them.
[/QUOTE]

I agree , i did charge both of my brand new MVP's to max capacity before first usage even though it was already charged well from the factory but then i settle into the charge to 4.1 and recharge at 3.7 routine .

Every month or two i let it charge till the green light goes out but i will not let it go to yellow or red .

Interesting. Why? I have only the MVP right now (which is awesome to me).

Ive been really torn as to whether I should just get another MVP, or go for a mod with a bit more power. The main reason is my Russian (if I can ever get it to wick- thanks Puf for the links; isolators on the way). Id like to try so fairly elaborate dual coil and possibly even higher setups, and the MVP sees limits here. The biggest thing that I dislike is when a coil setup takes a while to heat up (say 5 seconds).

Of course heatup time is proportionate to thermal mass and wattage. I run 30 gauge 6 wraps 1.5ohms for the quick heat up. So in order for heatup time to be quick with dual or quad coil setups (especially using 30 gauge or 28 gauge wire), you need more watts.

Id buy an MVP 3 with 20 watts as I think that would be enough. Curious to know how/why you prefer the lower wattage setups though- I might be chasing a ghost.

Well it's all personal preference really , Keirster like vaping high wattage and likes RDA's , i don't , i have tried many setups and coils and different wicks and while it's fine i just don't agree that it's a superior vape , at least it isn't TO ME.

Your still having issues with that Russian , man i feel for you . Lets get one thing out of the way , if your a hardcore RDA guy and prefer multiple coils then your going to need a higher power device , there's really no getting around that .

I have vaped higher wattage (not 50 but in the 30's ) and it's a good vape , what i'm saying is , TO ME, i get just as satisfying a vape from much lower wattage devices and tanks.

It's all personal preference plain and simple. If i was only interested in vaping Kayfuns and Aerotanks ...the MVP would be my preferred device , it works great with the Kayfuns and i vape 28 or 30 gauge wrapped around a 1/16th drill bit , any thicker than a 1/16th mandrel with 28 gauge is pushing it with the MVP .

My wattage with the Kayfun was typically from 8.5- 9.5 with the MVP and it produced big time.

Herb is right Jandry, I do like higher wattage for Dripping atomizers. I have an IPV2 like Herb, but mine goes to 50 watts. I use it on about 40 watts with a 1 ohm dual coil build and it is a cloud chaser with the most flavor I have ever experienced vaping.

The benefits of a higher wattage device is that IT WILL heat your coils faster ( at least that had been my experience ) plus if it is regulated, you dont have to worry about it like you would a mech without a fuse or Kick.

If your considering another device and you like the regulation circuitry that the MVP provides, you will like an IPV2 or similar mod. You can vape anything on it, as it goes down to 7 watts.

I operate my Kayfun exclusively on my MVP as I get the best performance out of it. It heats a little slower, but I dont mind and normally take 2 puffs per button firte on mine. PM me if you have any more questions Jandry, happy to answer them.

in my experience so far the 30 watt or so regulated devices seem to preform better @ 1 to 2 ohm coils, yes the clouds are there and it heats just fine with a great Vape.

when i wanna go sub-low 0.25 to 0.5 it's with a solid well maintained Mec with the appropriate RDA/build and i always use a Spring in my switch usually Copper or a good silver plated one and the Vape for me is very satisfying.....it's all about everything working well together.

my favorite Toppers for the MVP are the Aspire BDC Nova S and any Carto Tank and let's not forget about the KF......... the Carto Tank with slotted Carto's & the KF being my first 2 choices for the flavor :vapor:

hope everyone is having a great day!

yepper something I think is foul about the little box

your vaping away and wonder what setting your using

well you can't tell because when you push a button, 'your there' :?:

(was I at 3.6 or 8.5)

Well...one of the (many) conveniences of sloth...I'm too lazy to check the "charts" when I change toppers...so I always use Variable Wattage.

Thus..."setting I'm vaping at?"...no fuss-no muss...push P button!!!

On page it says: "Works beautifully with ProTank and Evod coil heads".

Would that include Kanger T3S heads???

Yer right my friend. A guy at the B&M I bought my IPV from had a .5 build on his IPV and my 1 ohm build was producing bigger clouds than his ( more surface area for the coil across the airflow holes )

A sub ohm build is for your mechs and they handle that job like no other. A .25 sub dual coil on a good mech will make the same clouds as my IPV at 50 watts.

With all that said, I still puff on my MVP more than 60% of the time and it is filled with my favorite citrus flavors in my KFL. I hoep they make the next MVP, like the IPV, which can charge thru a mini USB or replace the 18650 battery. That way it would last forever and not be a throw away.

I picked up the MVP 2.0 as my first vape setup and I can't believe how great it is for the price. The battery lasts forever and it's built like a tank. If any newbie reads this, there is zero reason to start with anything else when you can get these for $40-50.

If only the MVP was around when I started :( I truly believe the MVP is the ultimate starter rig. I am personally responsible for close to a dozen people purchasing one.

yea me to keir, i find myself reaching for the ole MVP quite often, and i have 7 other mods i'm rotating with today, all w/different builds & flavors...
just got some new slotted Carto's for Tank use on the MVP and i gotta say it tastes mighty fine.......my Cloupor has been collecting dust for the most part unless i'm traveling out.....i made a little portable belt drip-kit out of one of my old Diabetes carry kit's, man it's perfect holds 2 VTC5's & two 30ml bottles of Jooooze, small screwdriver's/kanthal and cellu; even has straps/zipper compartment to hold everything secure....perfect carry-out kit.

have a great day my friend:toast:

still rockin mine almost a year later
have had multiple other devices including the SVD and I always come back to the MVP
if the SVD didn't have screwed up circuitry/power button I would love it equally, but as it stands the mvp is KING in my book

only two complaints I wish innokin would add

1) it really needs the spring loaded 510 pin like the SVD - with a stationary pin that is maybe 1mm too tall on some tanks like the aspire bdc line, it shoves the 510 pin up inside the tank bottom and wont make a proper connection any more - spring load the pin.. no more issues.
2) I am ok with the button placement but I do wish it was on the skinny side of the device.

maybe make an MVP 3.0 with those features

Today is one of those love/hate relationships with my KF 3.1. A FT clone, one day it produces massive vapor (no flavor, I get more from my clearo) and the next tank doesn't vape at all. Cleanse and dry burn, if it has a good day it'll vape the hell out of it.

I have a bow silica build, 7 turns of 30ga Kanthal at 1.6 dead. I think wicking for the most part depends on the viscosity of the liquid I'm using.

The MVP is not a DNA30. It will fire at a max 3.5 ohms for anything below 1.6 ohms, no matter what you set it at. Maybe you have an excellent build on the KF.
