I just ordered my first MVP this morning and I'm beyond excited. Upset I didn't get the shipping confirmation yet. [emoji17] I'm upgrading from the Halo G6. Is there ANYTHING I should know in advance before I go to use it? Thanks to everyone.

Just got shipping confirmation for my first MVP 2 this afternoon. No idea where to start, but I'm heading to pick up an aspire mini nautilus and protank 2 before it gets here. No idea what settings to try first in terms of VV/VW

Capt.shay has got a few fixes listed in his blog....

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/capt-shay/6338-fixing-mvp-vv3-contact-issues-guide.html

you can also use one of these and have a new base and threads to use and keep juice out of your 510 connection, it dosen't do much for airflow tho.

i have one sitting on top of my beauty ring, painted it blk

yea me to keir, i find myself reaching for the ole MVP quite often, and i have 7 other mods i'm rotating with today, all w/different builds & flavors...
just got some new slotted Carto's for Tank use on the MVP and i gotta say it tastes mighty fine.......my Cloupor has been collecting dust for the most part unless i'm traveling out.....i made a little portable belt drip-kit out of one of my old Diabetes carry kit's, man it's perfect holds 2 VTC5's & two 30ml bottles of Jooooze, small screwdriver's/kanthal and cellu; even has straps/zipper compartment to hold everything secure....perfect carry-out kit.

have a great day my friend:toast:

My friend Sando is a Renaissance man of vaping. We all get such satisfaction from vaping to quit smoking the "Analogs" and experimentation is something that is natural.

7 months on Friday and this forum and the MVP has given me my life AND my money back to spend on other devices that meet MY vaping needs

Everyone's vaping experience is THEIR own.

Enjoy the journey and keep us posted Friends =)

so does anyone use the Kanger Uni-Tank or Kanger mini Uni-Tank on their MVP ???

always wondered about those tanks, very different design
they have been pretty darn costly since their introduction

I figured the cost would drop and I might add one to a cart somewhere - BUT NO
all I wanna do is play with it , sorta a protank wanna-be, but it has the 'pen spring' inside
which allows a bcc to be top-filled

I sorta fancy the mini Uni because it has a cool mini protank style base
two drip tips included

just wondered what people think here

- $13.52 Authentic Unitank Bottom Coil Clearomizer (2.5mL) - can be filled from the top at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

- $10.57 Authentic Unitank Mini Bottom Coil Clearomizer (1.3mL) - 1.8 + 2.2 + 2.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

well I found some (big) UniTanks for dirt, dirt cheap
thought I give ‘em a try...

the ‘kit’ comes with:
kangers cool SS drip tip, thread cone cover, (3) coils (and the tank itself)
took it all apart, cleaned, filled it – just like advertised

I guess it is cool to fill it from top (bcc)
sorta cylindrical (not bulbous) but it is working just fine, so far
will just see what comes of it, but as said, as cheap as I got them
drip tip or the coils or the plinth is worth more…

it was just one of those peculiar things that interested me…

Well, thanks to an annoying interruption from real life I am a day late (and more than a dollar short) but had to chime in on the Unitank. I loved my full sized one. The past tense is only because it is polycarbonate and after buying a Protank for tank crackers I managed to space out and fill the Unitank with Hot Cinnamon.

Top fill is very nice. The Unitank was recommended to me when I started and asked in the new members forum what would work well for someone with bad hands. It is an easy, somewhat airy draw. Despite me being totally new to vaping I never had the gurgling and leaking problems with it that I had with other toppers.

It does rely on a small spring to keep it from leaking during the top filling, and I suspect that if I hadn't decided to try dissolving the polycarbonate that the spring would have caused problems eventually.

A replacement polycarbonate tube does not seem to be available anywhere, and by the time I had the money to replace the whole thing I had gotten used to bottom fill (though I still seem to run a lot of juice down the center tubes) and then discovered Davides, which are what I use most of the time now.

FYI - I tried dual coil clearos and was massively underwhelmed, so that factors into my opinions as well.

Desert Vapes has Unitanks on sale for 4.95

If nothing else you get 3 coils and a drip tip for 4.95

Kanger UniTank

haha, that's funny
just a few days ago they were $3.95 and if you picked "clear" it was $1 less ($2.95)

got excited and put six in my cart, then came to my senses and narrowed it down to three

but as you said for $2.95 any part is worth that
-stainless steel drip tip
-(3) coils
-beauty ring cone
(oh, and the odd-ball tank)

so I got 3 drip tips, 9 coils, 3 thread covers all for $8.85

:)

well I was always curious about the UniTank, it was just different

I got mine and guess didn't clean it well enuff and it tasted funky
so the fun started, not only does it fill 'as a top coil' tank, but it is
funny about having the tank be empty to take apart (I hate that!)

so after wasting juice and cleaning up kinda took all the fun out of my new toy

but once I got over my frown time it works, well like a plastic protank

built a 1.7Ω cotton coil and vape-happy as can be

protank is 18.5mm unitank is 18mm (same as aerotank)
so it looks more slender, sleek than protank

but it is very worth the price paid, just another in the collection...

:)

Is there ANYTHING I should know in advance before I go to use it? Thanks to everyone.

Also, what are your favorite "tops"/"heads" to use on the MVP? I'm thinking about getting a nautilus mini.

lol , the anticipation of waiting for your new toy

it's killer isn't it - but you'll be overwhelmed when ya get it...

it should be 90%> charged, so just screw a topper on
then check the coils Ω
holding both buttons:
-first display is, Coil Ω
-second display is, Charge Remaining in internal battery

makes no diff, so push bottom button
and set V to about 3.7v to get started (climb scale as wanted)

>push and hold (top button) "P" for watts control
>push and hold (bottom button) "U" for volts control
-the first display will always be Puff Counter (0-999)
(which actually just counts how many times you push your Fire button)
-second number displayed is adjustable setting (v or w)
-- it is EITHER volts OR watts, never both
-- 3 clks off / 3 clks on (puff counter resets to "0" each time)
-- MVP memory maintains until you change it

  • be careful not to overtighten toppers
  • don’t wait to charge (charge soon & often)
  • and don’t drop it on your toe

good luck, and be sure to let us know :D

many like the mini bvc and the 2ml glass tank seems a good size fit on MVP

I like the kanger bcc on mine (evod, T3S etc)

Well...one of the (many) conveniences of sloth...I'm too lazy to check the "charts" when I change toppers...so I always use Variable Wattage.
Thus..."setting I'm vaping at?"...no fuss-no muss...push P button!!!

- - - - - -

On page it says: "Works beautifully with ProTank and Evod coil heads".

Would that include Kanger T3S heads???

I never cared for those graph charts
I hate to just keep pushing (round-robin) those little buttons just to play
with different settings, as I switch vaping styles or change heads (8.5 back to 8.0 )
so I leave one low and one high (v&w)
eg: like my coffee, hot & strong 8.5w @ 24mg maybe a couple hits every 10-15min ?
casual vaping: refreshing tea, cool & mild 3.7v @ 18mg hit it every 1-2min ?
just keeps me from beating up the little buttons, IMO

- - -

yes, the T3S coils are smaller, hench will work/fit in all kanger bcc
I learned that early on and then after purchased exclusively mostly all T3S coils

:)

Super super helpful. Thank you so much. Also, yes, the anticipation may kill me. I'm going to visit my local B&M (very good) to see if I can score a new topper. Everyone bashes the iclear 30 that it comes with, and I don't want my very first experience to be tainted by using it haha. So thanks for the tips on the toppers. :vapor:

......@Cstock, you'll have to experiment with Toppers to find what you like everybody likes something different, personally i prefer Carto Tanks for the simplicity and superior flavor.......same thing with voltage or wattage, after a few days you'll figure it out....find what you like & enjoy your new MVP and welcome to the group.

I'm not very familiar with carto tanks. But I will definitely experiment. From my understanding, the nautilus mini is almost a compressed/simplified version of a carto tank. Is this even close to accurate? Because it actually has filler material in the coil, and the coil sticks up a bit like a cartomizer would.

yea boy, i just went 3 days over 6 mos without a stinki, that's cool as hell keir...i knew Vaping was a good thing :vapor:

y'know, I just wish life would make it easy for me once and for all. Here continuous vaping is a matter of getting supplies and having enough money to buy them... This is my 4th try, always go back to stinkies after a while for various reasons: too expensive, can't buy abroad, not enough supplies in Baires. This time around 3 months free, but I'm not counting anymore....
