It's just a battery box, not too complicated to reproduce in a country that makes iPhones.
Now what happens when it survives the stress test?
Will I finally get to see a reonaut spontaneously explode?

So the cost gets me the customer service that I SHOULD get with everything I buy?
Maybe I'm too old.
In my day, you didn't get a pat on the back for doing the right thing, or
Doing your job. That's what you were SUPPOSED to do.
You got a pat on the back when you went above and beyond.
Courtesy was always given.
Respect was always earned.
People valued their honor and integrity.
Things sure have changed.
That said, Rob does have a rep for going above and beyond, but I would put the value in the finish work on the REO. I haven't seen threads with people getting wet pockets. REO fans are loyal for a reason and it isn't repair work.
In the end, I'll probably not buy a REO clone.
The real ones really aren't that expensive, and if I need one for less I can just build one for the cost of the clone.
For me it's more about the Squonk than the mod.

If I like a product, find its American made by a small respectable business, I would rather pay twice what someone in china may make, which is similar.
I'm a small businessman too, I understand what it takes to be self-employed, create a customer base, and make damn sure customers and support come first above all else. Referrals is the name of the game being self employed, if you're a people person, with the utmost respect for your clients, more will continually arrive.
I happened to order the wrong REO at my first purchase, I called Rob, within one ring he was on the phone, not a recorded message. He sent me another one immediately, no questions asked, except what color.
Think I'll buy another REO from Rob, just for the heck of it. Even though I don't need more REO mods. I can certainly give it away to someone who does need one, especially if a person is trying to quit smoking, with a top of the line device.

Why should I pay someone for doing that they are supposed to do? Good customer service is part of doing good business, not an added expense you charge for.
Robs stellar customer service will allow him to benefit from these clones if he plays his cards right.
He should stock his shelves and drop prices slightly right after the clones hit the streets.
And he needs to rework that horrible website!!!!
Surely some REO fanatic has web design skills that can give him a hand!
I don't think its for sale yet. I think inswva is correct and Waidea is trolling for interest. IF they get the interest, then they'll make it. Maybe 3F is doing a presale? And if they don't get enough buyers, it will be cancelled and customers refunded like Gearbest does all the time.
