The fuse things. Don't you pitch them after you get a short, and have to get a new one? Maybe the springs are cheaper?
Anyone else get the email on the delayed shipping?
Yep, they're meant to be tossed as soon as they trip, but that saves you having to replace the spring. REO springs cost 4 bucks, I assume the 2-cent fuses cost considerably less. I'll have to look into it.
I am sort of glad shipping is delayed. I will be away for a few days next week and did not want it to arrive while I was gone.
However, I worry, just a little, we are being scammed.
They will ship eventually won't they?
I doubt seriously that we're being scammed. Mark Bugs has a name and reputation, and have had at least 1 lawyer in on their beta testing. Bringing a new product to market is a dicey proposition at all times, even more so when you have external dependencies (like special packaging that doesn't get delivered on time). Patience, grasshopper. Patience.
Dave, the 2 cent fuse protectors work in a Grand with the 18650 batteries, but will not work with the NI-MH batteries. Much too tight with my fave lil green batteries. Ive got some photos in this thread.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/300415-mod-fuse.html. I haven't tried it with the VV woods, but my guess is it's a no go on them also as the spring is pretty compressed without it.
Since I discovered the 1.7ohm shorty cartos, my 4.8v batts have sat unused and dejected on a shelf over my desk. I don't think they're going to get any more play from me, I've grown accustomed to only having to swap AW IMR's once a day.
Can someone please inform me where to buy supplies and what supplies to get? Sorry...I'm new to this!
Go to ebay and search for "34 gauge resistance wire" and "braided cotton wick". I got 25 feet of each, shipped, for a total of 6 bucks.
