Hey

To be honest, i myself have never had this problem. I do realise if people are vaping on above 3.7 volt this could occur, but then again this is why Janty is not producing, nor supporting anything above 3.7 volt at the moment.

I also heard of some people having the problem at 3.7 volt - but again, i can not replicate this myself - and im an avid 510 vaper - and it just never happened to me. So to be honest i dont think aligning it correctly is the answer. I think the problem lies mainly with cart users that tend to vape their carts too dry, while at the same time having a tendency of taking really long puffs without letting anything rest inbetween.

Thats just my guess though. Another thing it could be, is that sometimes over time atomizers begin losing their resistance, and by doing so they grow hotter - while this might feel as a better vape to some people, it will also result in it getting extremely hot, and could cause what you are talking of.

So - as you see, i cant answer your question im afraid - its just not a common problem, and its not something i have encountered myself, at all. Ill keep an eye out for it / and others having the problem, and see if we can do something in upcoming changes to remedy it if it turns out to be a common problem!

Im assuming if you have the problem, that aligning it correctly will benefit you somewhat - but i doubt very much it will remove the problem. But by all means try it out and let us know!

The atomizer primer in the V3 tastes awful - it might be that taste you are tasting - try to blow out the atomizer with your mouth then put in some new liquid and see if that helps a bit. If this helps, then you can try to hold in the power button for 5 seconds while blowing with your mouth into the atomizer (to keep it cold) - do this around 4 times, then put in new liquid, and see if it tastes any better!

Hi Mik ,I've got the eGo since a week and I got this problem.
We were discussing this on an italian forum.
Using janty original carts I have burned 8 by a couple of mm on the long sides of the cart,
Here is a pic of one: img341.imageshack.us/img341/2447/pict0005mq.jpg
Also the carts loose a lot of juice when mounted, even the prefilled ones.
I know how to refill properly,I vape from a couple of months.
I'm not heavy vaper and I do puffs of 3-4 seconds with an equal break.

Got two carts left to test if aligning them solves the problem, but this frustrate me a lot since I have a new product(with burned carts) and probably other user are not experiencing this.

I can do other tests with other atoms I have as spare(dura c brand new) but just got two carts left.

Also, sorry for asking it here, when the charger goes green is it ok that it randomly blinks to red every minute or so?

Probelms apart I'm Loving my eGo,and I feel I found the pv of my life,I Thank you so much for it!!!

Hey Massi,

As i said earlier, this is not a problem in general - i am speaking to Ethan right now - he hasnt received ONE email about this, at all. So its not something that we consider a big problem.

It sounds like its your way of vaping - too long drags, too fast paced , not letting the atomizer rest / cool down between drags - and maybe you also smoke too heavily this way, making the carts run too dry between the puffs?

If you really want to test if this is why then try dripping with an empty cart - if you can not replicate the problem this way, then it is because you are vaping too fast, without letting the atomizer have a rest + combined with the cartridges running too dry on liquid.

And yes for the charger, that is normal - its just checking!

i believe it's a 510 issue more than a janty issue of course.
510's are pretty hot atties, if it happens you have an atty with a very low resistance it can slightly melt a cart.
Probably it doesn't happen that frequently but i've seen several people on the forum complaining about melting carts with 510 PV's at 3.7V...
wondering why cinese manufacturers didn't use silicone for carts as they operate very close to a hot resistance.

The only good vapor production I really get is from dripping. Using carts is really disappointing.

Stock carts with standard filler - straw mod - different fillers, doesn't seem to matter. All weak.

Batteries both work fine, charge well and last a long time. Attys work fine, because they work great when I drip. I have only had this eGo for two weeks.

I filled a cart today to go with me on errands. I got maybe one decent puff off of it and then steadily weaker vapes. It sucked.

So - if everything is checked out and working fine, then WHY do I get such bad results with carts?

I will be happy to take any suggestions to help make this item perform as advertised.

I'd consider cartos, but...

Honestly - I just bought this because it was supposed to be a vapor-producing machine. I should not have to buy or "mod" anything to make it work the way it is already supposed to work.

I have tried almost everything I can find as far as fillers and other non-aggressive mods. If I can't get what I am looking for with it stock, then I will consider the 30-day money back guarantee.

Not here to bad-mouth the product. Heck, I bought it based on great reviews. I'm just not seeing it. I looks really nice... :D

I have had my eGo for a month now and in the beginning I was not thrilled with the vapor production either but now it is my little vapor machine. Two things... first make sure that atty is broken in and firing correctly. If the atty is not working correctly this will effect your vapor. Second is your juice. If you are using stock carts prefilled, they will not give the same as if you got a top line juice and refilled yourself. If anything else check with Janty CS and ask for assistance, they are some of the best.

I personally can get about 10-15 puffs off of my carts with no mods, but that is hit or miss. I typically drip, but have just entered the wonderful world of cartomizers, and love them to the max. I can usually go half a day on one carto no problem...thats my main vape while im out runnin around or working a flight.

When Im home I am in dripping bliss!

The problems you are having are not specifically ego related, but stock carts have always been an issue. Which is exactly why cartos were designed, mods, and the amazing Tesla Filter that mik is designing. I have had standard cart issues with every model of ecig I have ever owned.

I had this...but it was more a what juice I was using thing...coupled with because I was used to running a 510 with one finger on the atty to keep track of the heat it was giving off and the atty cone on the eGo prevents that I actually found myself flooding the atty and not knowing..also found that I had to clean the battery/atty connection points more often because of the condensation under the cone would gunk it up faster and cut down on vapor production..
give it a good cleaning (the connection points) and sort of half blow out the atty (not like full out blowing it out (but just mouthpiece end in mouth and one or 2 good puffs with the threads covered by tissue)..
The other thing..depending on juice if it's thicker or has a lot of particulate (like tobacco flavored juice does) your atty is going to gunk up quicker...this was my most recent case when my vapor production dropped off (and it was just on the one I was using for my all day tobacco flavored vape)...I took lightgeoduck's cleaning (with the syringe and carto ring) and mixed it with highping's atty resurection method...and now it's better than new..(if you look into the atty when you push the button does the coil (and the whole coil) heat up to red within the first 2-3 seconds?...if not your atty coil has crud built up on it)...
You can search both users and get their cleaning threads...

EDIT: the more I read your post...it sounds like you're using stock polyfil in the carts as filler?..if so that stuff just doesnt keep up...and the more you refill them the worse their wicking gets..unless you take it out and wash it and let it dry completely before you put it back..I always switch to blue foam right away in my carts (and I don't do anything fancy with the blue foam either..just cut it 3/8" by 3/8" to 1/4" by 1" long and put it in the cart just like the polyfil)...it just wicks better and cleans better to maintain it's wicking ability
