I thought OLED screens were a problem if they get wet?

I have old fart eyesight and the MVP screen is tough, bright and easy to read whether dodging snowbirds or sitting at my desk in light or dark. I have a Zmax and it is tough to see sometimes.

I agree. The screen on my MVPs are exactly what they need to be. Nothing more, nothing less.
They have the right menu selection for what I want and need with out having to remember sixteen different button push patterns to get it set and or read it.

I see some screaming deals coming up on the MVP V2 :) I hope they release the 20w soon so the price will plummet on the V2 before christmas.
I need to pick one up for my nephew.

haha got the same thing in mind :p

vape dojo showing $29 (sold out)
101 @ $33

so it's getting close, then maybe see how it goes with the 20w version...

Don't all electronics have an aversion to water? :) Pick your poison I guess. I have both the Smok ZMAX with LED and Sigelei with OLED...I'm partial to the OLED version since more info is able to be put on screen. That said, I like my VV 3.0 and LED ZMAX's just fine...especially when I want a flashlight or to signal aircraft. :)

Sup peeps, haven't been through in a while... Been hanging out in some of the FB vape groups..

can't wait to try my Russian 91% when it gets here Monday, intruded my Nautilus for it...

Picked these up also, angelcigs KFL and a Cana Mods DNA 30, the Cana was $5... It was supposed to need a new chip, but I popped a batt in and it powered up. It wouldn't read any of my attys at first so I tried the MVP center pin trick... Been vaping on it for a day and a half...

Some thread about some clone said not to wipe the screen with a wet towel or some such blah blah like it would cloud up.

I guess as long as it has a glass lens over it who cares. I just don't need smaller numbers.

What I am thinking about are these small magnifier bubbles that we used to place over LED segment displays. I haven't seen any in the right dimensions for an MVP... but I am thinking a good alternative might be the ones designed for placement on lines of text in books, bar magnifiers. I know you haven't called out asking for a suggestion or said you have an existing issue, but I'm thinking a small chunk of one of these might be interesting, maybe an inch or so... especially if the ends were ground to a bevel. If it could run the whole length of the side, it may make for a more comfortable grip as well. It would need some button holes/etc.

In order to compete with the iStick we need
stripping threads
misfire occasionally
rattlesnake
no buck
smaller size with less battery
20w

We already have button rattle and pin connection so we are almost half way there.

when those ‘other’ ones get up to say 5 billion sold and
still maintain a 4.5 star user rating, I might see what the
going price is then and maybe consider one…

:matrix:

bet something went down at Innokin like…
“should we go with evolv or ARM” ? - - “lets do both”

thinkin the next MVP will be temperature control capable (from evolv)
some cutting edge & a bit more pricey (30w-40w-50w)

this one has the ARM 32-bit microprocessor (not evolv) (wonder what's in ours now)?

my thoughts are this is the IMPROVED MVP
-flush mount / spring loaded
-upgrade microprocessor
-increased power output
looks to be same basic size (same batt-pak I’d guess)
some colors, maybe display changes, but the basic formula
that set the standard for entry-mid class-majority vapor`ers…

then coming soon the NEW MVP (3 / evolv / DNA) ?
revamped, high tech, evolv driven and cutting edge
with innovations galore from Innokin...

but I can only speculate

:)

remember when 1st MVP came out and the "beauty ring" hung off over the edge of device

From what I see in the PCB pic of the DNA40... that's already using an ARM licensed processor as well... the Atmel ATSAMD21 series with 128KB Flash and 16KB of SRAM. Some of the DNA30 clones are already using ARM Cortex-M3 STM32F103C8T6. I'm ripping some clones out of their shells right now, and that's what I am seeing.

As far as our MVP2... should be a PIC16F723A in there. That's a microcontroller,... 8-bit, 4KB Flash, 192 Bytes SRAM and 20MHz.

The processing power of the MVP2 is distant compared to even the DNA30 clones out there... we also don't need the extra capabilities or associated costs though.

I see a vendor calling it the MVP 3 / 20W
$79 MSRP
selling it for $69
with a release date of Jan 10, 2015

another listed it at $59 (coming soon)

wonder what this “Gladius-Vulcan” is they speak of… ?
the “Gladius” - looks like a mini Aero/Protank...

pondering: what will be the MAX Amps capable
and the resistance range allowed...

it has a “legendary 100% Stainless Steel body” (who knew…?)

I haven't seen the MVP3 available any where yet, or even a price listed. Where did you find it?

FWIW: Innokin_Paul on Reddit says it fires down to 0.8 Ohms,... which sounds like a 5A limit. The MVP2 has a <3.5A output limit. As we all know though... you can limit the amp output despite the atty resistance, and companies like to advertise their 'best' output, especially this early in their game.

UPDATE:
Innokin_Paul said:

The MVP3 will fire down to 0.4.

Yup... I have been happy with my MVP2... but I have also been happy with a selection of other devices at the same time... even right now I am bouncing between 2 other devices... one at 50W and another at 8.3W... and the mech is configured for something around 80W, but I haven't used it this evening/morning.

Innokin Technology

December 4
.

We are proud to be launching the iTaste MVP20W which will be shipped out to official Innokin Authorized Vendors and distributors next week.

The MVP20W is a significant upgrade to the MVP2 which has the same outstanding build quality as the original and improvements in the processor and in the threading is priced very competitively.

The first news release is as follows:

The Innokin iTaste MVP20W: 20 Watts of Intelligent Vaping Power in the legendary 100% Stainless Steel body of the Innokin iTaste MVP!

The MVP20W has been powered up to 20Watts and upgraded with a better chip and a sleeker look.

The iTaste MVP20W now has a high quality flush 510 spring loaded connection that is designed to connect perfectly with all standard 510 tanks. An EGO thread adaptor is packaged with the MVP20W so you can also vape with great tanks like the new Gladius-Vulcan

The MVP20W is variable voltage with a range of 3.3 – 7.5 volts adjustable in .1 volt increments and variable wattage from 6.0 – 20.0 Watts adjustable in .5 watts increments. The easy to use integrated ohm reader will display the resistance of any attached tank and the handy puff counter helps you keep track of your daily vape.

The iTaste MVP20W is smarter with a 32-bit ARM microprocessor which means far faster data processing power and superior vaping performance. The steady VDC power output with an output voltage accuracy of +-1% greatly reduces noise and increases battery life and reliability.

The large capacity of the internal 2600mAh battery means you can depend on the long lasting power of the MVP20W and it’s also a backup portable charger that can power your mobile phone and other electronic devices.

The MVP20W is a smart, powerful and durable vaporizer that’s built with Innokin quality and backed by the Innokin 90 Day Limited Warranty. Very competitively priced the Innokin iTaste MVP20W is the best choice in personal vaporizers this holiday season.

Innokin is late to their own party
that press release is about 4 days old now…

I’ve not tried these tanks from Innokin
-Gladius-Vulcan
-Gladius

what’s with that oddball coil, not heard any rave reviews
maybe they’re making a stronger effort…

I’m guessing the tank pictured on the new MVP 20W is the Gladius-Vulcan
looks to be similair to the Aerotank
as the Gladius is to the mini Aero

i'm verry happy with my MVP 2s... but i really LOVE my DNA 30. i don't treally know how to explain it, but the Cana/KFL combo is just a different vaping experience all together. the MVP will remain for standard tank duty, it will be the permanent home for my Aerotank V2 replacement when it comes...

hi RotoW,

I don’t remember all your particulars, but qwik tip
push the top little button, set your MVP to 8.0 w and
leave it alone for awhile (kinda, sorta puts MVP in AUTO mode)
if your coil Ω’s is between [1.5-2.5Ω] you should be alright
then work out your tank troubles at one setting till it works for ya…

if your having troubles with “connection”
the tank ‘+’ pin // touching the MVP center ‘+’ pin,
these made my MVP a new high dollar contraption ~ Circuit Board Spacer~
- https://store.vapeny.com/product/circuit-board-spacer/
this is just a pic/description as they have ALWAYS been O.O.S.

madvapes sells them {.89¢}, but as usual, madvapes site will not load
(madvapes REALLY needs to fix their site !)

I installed in my MVP and NEVER EVER had another conn issue and
don’t even think about it (best fix e v e r …)

and remember NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER overtighten ANYTHING onto MVP (just no need)
I tell everyone, "once you get it started, look away while threading, when you feel it touch, STOP"

keep us informed

GOOD LUCK
