Sup peeps, haven't been through in a while... Been hanging out in some of the FB vape groups..

can't wait to try my Russian 91% when it gets here Monday, intruded my nautilus for it...

Picked these up also, angelcigs KFL and a Cana Mods dna 30, the Cana was $5... It was supposed to need a new chip, but I popped a batt in and it powered up. It wouldn't read any of my attys at first so I tried the MVP center pin trick... Been vaping on it for a day and a half...

I gotta ask, where did you get a "dead" Cana for $5?? Add another $50 for a real DNA30 and its a Vaporshark for like a third of the price!!!

Elev8 has $5 customer returns that are supposed to need new chips, but the one I got is working pretty dang good so far...

I think I probably just got incredibly lucky. But, I'm sure gonna snatch up some more when they gottem. My whole intention was to put a new chip in it, but...[emoji1] [emoji106] [emoji41]

Have you verified the output power etc? I ask because I bought a bunch of them that landed the other day, and none of them are 'good' but a few of them are now 'useable'. The issue with those few is that they are acting like they work, but in reality the output voltage is off, or the resistance is off, etc,.

I haven't... But it seems to be vaping fine

I do know that the ohmeter is pretty consistent with my eLeaf ohmeter and my MVP 2s

Elev8vape.com has them listed under "Accessories" and they come in stock every few days but they last a couple of hours at most. I got 3 before turkey day and 2 of 3 worked (one had a dead screen but removing some glue somehow fixed it). The 3rd one had a burnt chip. I ordered 3 more on saturday.

Vaporshark lowered their prices on the DNA 30 and rDNA 30 ($99 and $139 respectively).

yeah, mine seems to be working great. the pass through charging works fine, but i don't use it. i bought a pair of the red LG 18650s and a charger so i just swap them out at this point... i just found out that my Angelcigs KFL don't like 30w though, lol... thank goodness rayon isn't as harsh as cotton...

LOVE that avatar BTW dude, my very first electric was a Tele... albeit a Squier VM Tele, but a Tele none the less. i have a really good friend in Livermore, CA that winfs pups for a living, www.rosepickups.com, he makes some KILLER pups... here's my parts Tele with his Aphrodite bridge and Burbon neck, please excuse my poor playing... i'm a self taught bedroom hack at best...

Nice!!! Those VMs and the Classic Vibes are some serious bang for the buck Squires! My old Standard looked just like yours hehe. Sold it last year and picked up a white Classic 60s that is to diiiiie for! I still might refinish it in foam green, but the whites growing on me. I love being the metal guy that plays a Tele..

Of course I keep my MVP on my amp too! (Did I stay on topic hehe??)

If you just need an enclosure you can get em on Fasttech for around $20.

The enclosures from FT come with buttons, 510 and wires but you have a pretty good chance of getting one from Elev8vape that works but with a few quirks.

I'll post here if I hear they stock more but you gotta be quick.

Perhaps I got the odd batch... but I bought more than a few, and they all came physically damaged and non-functional. If I wasn't just interested in having a bulk to tinker with and such... and if they weren't as cheap as they were... I would be considerably upset.

The point is, if you want a nice box with little chance that it wasn't chucked from a moving vehicle... OR if you don't relish the idea of having to pry out layers of hot melt adhesive... then just buy a new one from FT or whoever. If you don't mind risking that what you get will have a bad finish, large scratches, dents or has previously caught fire (one of mine had), then get one of the 'returns' from Elev8.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are getting rid of them like this... but as soon as you open up one and see all that glue and shotty workmanship, you see why they aren't trying to fix them whatsoever These are not built like an MVP2

Here's the first 3 I got. I gutted the blue one and added a VT 510. I ended up putting a scratch on the top. The black was the roughest out of the 3.

Thanks so much, pufZeppelin. Unfortunately, I already know about connection problems. I experienced that with two brand new twist batteries that I purchased that, to this day, have yet to work. Thankfully I'm not having any connection problems with the MVP. It's been more of a tank problem. The clearo that came with it leaked all over the place, and I haven't had time to play with it to see what the issue is. I put my hands on a Kanger Aerotank, and I could barely get any vapor out of it, in spite of playing with adjustments and playing with the air flow.

At long last, I think I have something on it right now that is going to work for me. I purchased three Aspire ETS (I think) tanks. I just put one on, and it is working marvelously!!

Yours are way better than mine. Are these pics AFTER you drilled out the charge indicator hole? None of mine had the indicator and I note that yours are in the proper place even though they mounted the USB upside down (oops).

I'll make another order and see if I get better the next time. I can't really complain because I understood the description... but I don't want people thinking they should expect decent looking boxes with a 15% not DOA rate unless that's actually the case. I figure the $5 each is worth it for the USB charge circuit and OLED display though... and since I intend to rubberize them, I don't care too much about the housing dents/pitting/scratches.

I actually wonder if it's because I might have bought the last they had... or if larger orders get junkier devices sent?! I think I will do smaller orders next time.

I sent the nicest looking one I received out to another ECF member this afternoon.

Is there another thread just for this topic...? Or might that be a bad idea since they will likely just raise the price... as figure they might just due to the reviews or perhaps they have started double checking for simple issues like 'stealth' etc and will begin offering a 'rejects' listing...
