yep it sure is, from 50 on it goes really quick!

Yeah, it seems to go faster and faster. Maybe its just because you are more aware of it?

But hey, some kids never make 10 and die of cancer :( The way I see it anyone who makes 20 already has a lot to be thankful for, much less someone who makes 50 or beyond. So many things can go wrong before then..

Thanks to all for the advice!!! First cycling routine was no dice. But I left it alone for a few hours and tried it again and it worked! I have lights/display/action again!
Thank you guys SO much for helping revive my MVP!

do you have any idea what caused the situation?.....were you pulling up the 510 pin, or did your tank leak any jooze down the 510 connection/drop it......the 0.0.0 seems to only show when there is an internal problem it's like the MVP is dialing 911 for help.
any-how glad ya got it working again :)

I had a situation where a protank 2 coil read fine with the tank off but would short with the chimney/tank on. I didnt realize it. I checked the resistance and it seemed fine, put it together, waited for the wick to soak, then lit it up- lights out for the MVP. I waited 30 mins then cycled the power and nothing. Finally I cycled the power and did the 3 quick clicks on the power button. At that point the puff counter vv/vw mode worked. Checked the resistance and it said "0.0". Changed the coil and it started working again.

The protank 2 coils are good, but as with most replaceable coils there isnt a ton of room- something gets tweaked putting it back together and you can have problems. In my case it was when I was trying 11 wraps of 30 gauge. On my russian that wouldnt be a problem, but it has more room in the coil bay.

Just something to be aware of... Now I always check my resistance before putting it together and before firing it for the first time.

Ok just got my mpv today just getting to know each other. Don't tell but I think it's smarter than I am. BUT NOT FOR LONG !

congrats on getting a magic box :toast:

and for the record

either Volts OR Watts (never both)
be careful not to overtighten toppers
don’t wait to charge (charge soon & charge often)
and don’t drop it on your toe

- - -

on the MVP,
--
-holding both buttons:
-first display is, Coil Ω
-second display is, Charge Remaining in internal battery
- - -
>push and hold (top button) "P" for watts control
>push and hold (bottom button) "U" for volts control
-the first display will always be Puff Counter (0-999)
(which actually just counts how many times you push your Fire button)
-second number displayed is adjustable setting (v or w)
-- it is EITHER volts OR watts, never both
-- 3 clks off / 3 clks on (puff counter resets to "0" each time)
-- MVP memory maintains until you change it

something was touching and shorted out on yours.............. that's why i asked about the pin......seeing the triple 000 is definitely not good and that's fer sure.

Although I love my MVPs, I'm inclined to agree. I'm ready to order the VTR which tucks the tank along the side of the mod. From what I've read, it works great with the mini Nautilus.

Angelcigs has the VTR on sale for $59.99 which is a pretty good deal. It's a 15W mod so it doesn't hang with the big boy regulated box mods but it offers more power than the MVP.

if you're looking for something to supplement the tried & true MVP
don't overlook this one...

here's something pretty interesting...

EVOLV GETS THE PATENT ON WATTAGE AND A NEW CHIP IS COMING

On 9/2/2014 Evolv will have the Patent on variable power / wattage. This goes all the way back to their original variable wattage device - The Darwin. This is a big moment for the company. With that in hand Evolv has a lock on that portion of industry unless chip makers find a different way to produce the same effect. This is a true patent, not an application.

What will Evolv do with the Patent? Only time will tell.

On to the more exciting stuff.

A "little birdy" told me that Evolv is coming out with a new chip. While China seems to be destroying America in terms of wattage innovation - Evolv has sat quietly working on a new chip. I have been told this new chip will control temperature. How this will be achieved is not known - but anything new from Evolv is always exciting.

I'm hearing a release date before Christmas - perhaps a debut at ECC?

it's on some underground site and link won't post here
