When I say "start looking elsewhere " I mean looking for a different delivery system entirely. I know they all come from the same factory. But I was under the impression that SI was having them made to their own specs, beside the 808 thread spec. That is what I had come to believe from other posts and threads here in the SI forum. Now that has been debunked by the posts here. Very disappointing!

Thats what the nano is. The CE3 is named such because its a generic device.

Again, from previous posts here in the SI forum regarding the CE3 the general "drift" was that they were being made to SI specs, superior or better than the competitions. If they are, indeed, generic then it doesn't matter who they are bought from is all I am saying and that the expectation that they are "better" is totally unfounded.

I've got a few X2s. They don't quite do it for me. I get a lot of air draw in all three of mine.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think so. I'll be giving the X2s another try though.
I believe SI is doing some kind of update to those too.....
:::shudder:::
In the meantime I've gone back to my regular old Volts and Halo G6s using regular and low resistance cartos.
They aren't bad, but they aren't what I want either.

Stick a toothpick in one of the holes and break it off. I had to do that to my autos. Too airy of a draw.

Right now I have 7 unopened boxes of Those new CE3, should I be worried, I don't think so.

From 9 new CE3, I got one leak and one died from dry burning(might be my fault). The rest still give me a better drawn and leak control compare to old CE3. With this good/bad ratio I think it's about the same as old CE3. I remembered with old CE3, I had to trash one or two each box due to leak, crack problem as well. What can I expect from Chinese Factory with less to none quality control.

I took apart the one that died and believe all parts in this new CE3 are made to be better than old one, better battery post, better silicone seal under battery post, and better tube (no visible crack or stress test). For plastic taste lingering, you should clean / soak CE3 in hot water before use.

For people who get dry hit, may be juice is too thick or too dark and you should adjust center post right away, don't keep on vaping because that will create gunk up around coil and will result in your CE3 not firing.

Just my 2 cents, pls don't quote me on this since I'm not expert or pretend to be one or even want to be one.

I guess results can vary for everyone. My experience with the Nano was so negative that I'll never try one again while others swear by them instead of at them. I've been a CE3 fan since they came out and will continue to use them on my stick batteries. Hopefully, they'll perform as well as the original batch, but if they don't there are many alternatives for me, anyway. I can't say I've ever had a dry hit from a CE3 that was the fault of the CE3 and I use 60/40 liquids for the most part. A few have started leaking for no apparent reason, even after replacing the inner seal. A few more have gone dead, open coil, from use which is to be expected. One other problem I've noticed with them is that the wick slowly disappears over time, maybe from cleaning. Again, it's just the unannounced change in a device that worked so well that bothers me.

That's what I don't get. If it isn't broke....

I have a theory maybe they were working too well and the company making them didn't see enough orders. I know a box of five could last me several months instead of say a couple of weeks.

You mean one of the holes in the X2 clearo, right? Not the Volt X2 battery? Just want to be sure. I can be kinda dense. Sometimes I need diagrams, heh.

No in the battery. There are little air holes (I think 2) that you should clean. Just break off the tip in one of them. I think outlaw has a vid on it.

Oh okay. I'll give that a shot. It'll be easy enough to get it outta there if it doesn't suit my needs.
Thanks for the tip!

I'd like to change my comment on this CE3 regarding better unit over all compare to the old CE3.

I managed to pop another coil on this new CE3, same story with the first one. I loaded Ranging Bit*h into this CE3(this juice is very dark and by second refilled the juice will turn very dark almost black in color). After just second filled, I decided to dry burn this one as usual soak in vodka overnight and warm hot water and let it dry completely. This time I was very careful from my first experience, I even take the tube and center post out only head to be able to see it clearly. Only two even less than 2 second press, I saw red grow and then BAMM nothing happen. I checked out and sure enough the coil in gone.

Even though overall seem to build with better quality but the most important part which is the coil seem a lot weaker than the old one. This is not really acceptable. I'm not really sure at this point, it's carbon built up around coil or less resistant wire is used in these new CE3. I think this is the cause of suddenly death of these CE3 per other reported.

BTW, I still like these new CE3, but I'm not gonna use any dark juice in it any more. I also will keep all head units in hope someday I might have time to rebuild new better coil.

After going through all five in my last box (none lasted more than one fill, most started leaking halfway through the first fill) I have given up and ordered a eGo Twist and a T3. I've been wanting to try a variable voltage 510 anyway. I'll happily give SI's own T3s a shot when they come in, but for now I have completely given up on the CE3s. And that's a bummer. They were perfect for me.

I have to agree. I have been afraid to dry burn for this very reason, having seen 2 already die prematurely. On the bright side, of the 3 I am still using part time, I did manage to dry burn one, and it is still alive. I also think these are more sensitive to different voltages, which is consistent with the "weaker coil" theory.

Not testing scientifically, since my vaping needs are being met by 3 x2 clearos and 3 CE's over the past few weeks.

I didn't get that at all regarding the CE3 from everything I've read. What I got was that they started carrying whatever existed of it due to demand, and to cover the gap with the Nanos. To my understanding, this wasn't one of the products they were customizing to SI specs.

I guess that's the downside to the "ever-improving" cycle of these things - you address some issues based on previous complaints and wind up creating new problems. Bummer. Maybe the next batch will be better.

I did dry burn one and still survive too, but that one is pretty much new no gunk around coil but leak with no reason.

They changed again lol. They plastic tube is more flexible. And the metal bit between the seal and the base is larger. I would say some internals are changed, draws slightly stiff. I'll try vaping without squeezing the tube to see if it burns at any point but then again I'm using nicquid now (month wait for shipping to Aust is a killa! :p)

One of the left is the new, new one.

Can you tell me anything about the coil? Burned taste? Please update us after you have used it a while.
