If you liked that Steve Earle tune, you're bound to like this one :

You know, I have never seen the band, and he doesn't look anything like I pictured, so that was a cool surprise.
Now when it's blasting out the car windows, I have a mental picture to go with it.
You have enhanced my enjoyment, ...thanks moocho

Awesome pic! Day-um, I missed dat one.

My water spout claim to fame was down in da Keys. Had three approaching us. Da third one caught up wid da second and they did a cobra mating dance. Obviously it was a short 'romance' in dat by da time I looked back while racing to shore, I didn't even see da post mating cigarette ritual...
Groucho.gif

My other fav water spout story is when my bud and I were out in da Gulf locally fishing fer grouper. All of a sudden, I hear this 'whishing' sound. I thought it might have been our bait well pump cavitating. Looked to da stern and dere was a two foot high, twenty foot wide circular 'bump' in da water! Actually watched da water droplets being 'sucked' up into da vortex. It passed within twelve feet of my rod tip. Absolutely astounding!!!

Call me crazy, but I do luv me sum Ma Nature at her strangest!

I did two years of shore duty in key west in 1980. Had almost the exact same experience when we where diving for lobster one day. We were literally in the boat and directly behind my house. Short ride back to the dock but we didn't fool around getting there. When I moved away upon transfer in 1982 I had to give away about 40lbs of frozen tails. No way to travel and keep em frozen. I almost cried. Love them. I think langastino (Fla rock lobster, the kind with no claws) are better tasting than Maine lobster. Just no claws.

OK, changing lanes... WHY have I never seen THIS!

That was very very touching. What a wonderful story and unique turn. I showed it to Doree (wife) and it brought a tear to her eye as well. Thanks you VERY much for the post.

Another very rare post to the back porch. I don't have ANYTHING vape related in this one, so gotta keep it off of the front porch :)
Yesterday at 1:30, I went to my favorite Greek restaurant for my usual Saturday lunch, came home, took a half-hour nap, and then headed out at 3 to replace my dear departed Frank the truck...
I had 6 vehicles in mind from my internet research, and the insurance had paid me $7,000 for the truck.
Got what I wanted from the first place, but I didn't get home until almost 9:30 last night.
I really don't like looking for a new vehicle.

OMG! What an amazing show of how strong the human spirit can be and what can be overcome.

Thank you, Iffy, for posting this. It makes my heart smile to watch and hear her. That she is doing what she dared to dream.
My younger daughter also uses a chair, and she had a dream to go to college. She did it. I am so proud of her.

Well we went to visit sis in law. It is really bad now. We have tried to convince my wifes brother to contact Hospice and I hope it got through to him. He is taking it all on himself. His brother gave him a book on a fasting diet that is supposed to cure cancer but I think she is too far for that. She had an appointment with her Oncologist and he told her there is nothing else they can do for her. She has gone downhill so fast, she has an ashen grey coloration. She knew we were there but that was about it. We decided that we couldn't do any more so we decided to make our move to Leavenworth, WA. My wifes brother has put his wife on this fasting diet and her daughter is there to supposedly be her care giver. She is 9 months pregnant and is smoking roll your own Top tobacco, so needless to say she isn't much help if any. I just hope he calls Hospice to take some of the pressure off himself. We just didn't see anything else we could do. My wife called him about 10 times after our visit to see if he called Hospice but he thinks this fasting tea diet might help. It would be great if it did but I don't have much hope for that. Her Grandson who is half African American is also there. He is about 4 years old and the father who is also the father of the one the caregiver is carrying should be taking care of him but he is not. By the way being half black has no bearing on it. Her family is just kind of screwed up. Her mother and 2 of her aunts took her to Walmart and she rode around in a wheelchair. She is on oxygen and working with one lung and should never be around all those germs and the little boy should never be around watching his grandma die. It's a mess

(((((((((((jewels)))))))))))) So sorry you're having to deal with that. Will keep you and hubby in my prayers.

Nope, Janet's still enjoying her Aspire BDC Viva Nova's mainly.
Good, jup, that's the one I found that I love!! So easy to use and no leaking and very little gurgles.

'Bout day-um time ya got back to us! How's your home front?

BTW, your rocker is right where ya left it. Oh, and I took da opportunity while ya were gone to 'refluff' your cushion fer ya...
Pepe.gif

Awwwwwwwww thanks hun! So good to be back! Have really missed y'all. Hmmmm......I thought that piller and mint look a tad suspicious....... thanks for the heads up y'all. <<sneakin that cushion back under iffy's rump and settlin back in my rocker>>... ahhhhhh

{{{DEB}}} Well howdy! So good of you to stop by! Missed ya! Iffy has a "special" welcome cushion he's been fluff'n up for people. Careful now

Missed y'all too!! hehehe that durn iffy....good thing we love him! lol

Wondered where you went? Don't let this sound bad but, sometimes folks just drop off the map. You wonder for a while then kinda say, mmmmm. Welcome back.

Thanks. My computer bit the dust, and my SIL sits at her desk most of the day, that's her spot, so the only time I can get on is if she's napping and if my back will let me at the time. I just got frustrated not being able to get on much, and my back hurting so much when I did, cuz I'd stay on too long when I did, so I didn't get online at all for the longest time.

(((((((((Debadoo))))))))))) Hi sweetie, I'm sorry I didn't let you know that we had moved. We outgrew our original porch so moved here to our ever extending porch. We have kept your rocking chair dusted and ready for you. Welcome Home

No worries at all hun, I should have checked, like dancing said........I know better! lol

Thanks Willie!! And I saw the cool change vid you posted on the old thread with the dolphins and whales.........loved it!!!! What a great video (great song too).

Iffy, I've never been hit by or even seen up close a water spout, but my sister and I were driving when I was a kid, and we got hit by a dirt devil aka duster, while driving in her.....wait for it..... Plymouth duster. lol It just side swiped us and shoved us a bit, so we were fine. Can't say as much for the paint job.

Wow legs....so sorry to hear that. Is this tea diet, matcha tea by any chance? I was looking into that some, and my ex tried some, but reacted either to that or to some new meds or both, so he stopped. It probably wasn't the matcha, but he's not supposed to drink regular tea at all, not sure about green tea. It's supposed to have huge amounts of antioxidants in it.

Sorry to hear 'this' news. Sounds like he may be in a state of denial. Sure hope he finally listens and take the advice to call hospice.

Oh yes! It’s just when I got the ProVari I was just going to make sure it worked and then put it away, I was very happy with my egos at the time. So, just like they said, it vaped great. Only going to use it in the house. We go for walks at night and I would suffer separation anxiety. So it went on walks. Now it goes to town.

Only taking the Spinners and a couple old cigalikes to Oregon, saves having to pack an extra suitcase for all the ecig stuff.

Always great to have a ton of backups when the power goes out for days too.

Kudos to Vapor 4 Life. Ordered two boxes of blank carts for the trip during their 50% off sale. They sent chocolate, no nic. Called and asked how to proceed. They insisted on sending four boxes of blanks for the error. I would have been pleased with two, but damn, hats off to them for great customer service. Those four boxes ought to last me five years.

Yeah, that cow, it was off white with a full udder. Thirty years later I still wonder what they teach in New York schools.

Since my reply is gonna be 'off topic'. I brought your post to the back porch.

Our son worked for the outdoor outfitter REI. When they opened a couple new stores in NYC he was selected to go and train the new employees. He was shocked on how many of the new-hires never-ever left the city. Some were totally shocked that you could take a walk in the forests and not worry about getting lost because there are well marked, well used hiking trails in the Adironack's and Catskill Mountains. They new their way around the city subway systems but had never ever experienced the outdoors beyond Central Park.

well, I need to get off here. Going in tomorrow for more shots in my back, so may not be on for awhile. Last time it took about a week before I began to feel human again. Time before that my back locked up on my for 2.5 weeks. Hopefully this time might only be a few days.

((((((((everyone))))))))) I have really missed y'all, and it's great getting to know new folks.

IMHO, I consider Hospice workers earthly angels!

They were wonderful caring for my Dad. I still give an annual donation out of respect and admiration.

... we got hit by a dirt devil aka duster...

Yepper, saw 'em in Texas, Colorado and Idaho. Even saw one once that did da 'hop, skip and jump' for 'bout a half mile.
