(((((((((mike)))))))))) ((((((((((Janet)))))))))) pass that one on to her!! Not much new here, but I did find a bottom coil that I really love, has janet found one she loves? This one looks just like vivi novas I loved, but it's a bdc. Or have you converted her to your high techy stuff now??

Nope, Janet's still enjoying her Aspire BDC Viva Nova's mainly. They sit on top of her Provari's and sigelei mini-Zmax's. Her newest favorite though is an MVP box. Although just recently she said she's starting to really like a Genny rba on top of a Precise-Simplicity mech mod. So maybe I'm starting to turn her to the dark side. :homy:

Oh Deb - we have a front porch too. Here on the back porch we have the freedom to talk about anything we want. The front porch in the general forum we try to keep the topics vaping related to keep the admins happy.

Not posting much lately, but trying to keep up with the thread

Plenty of good news here and of course the not so good, my prayers and best wishes to all.

Jewels,

Major porch hugs! Still in our hearts and prayers...

Well more bad news about sister in law. Her tumor is growing so fast they had to put her on a bag it's pressing against her colon so much no. It's amazing how fast some types of this disease works. We sort of want to go see her but my wife doesn't know if she wants to see her in this condition. She is pretty out of it. I guess she tried to get out of bed last night and fell so she is pretty much bed ridden. My wife and her were pretty close and she doesn't want to go there and start crying and make her feel worse. He is crying so much that he is afraid the police will pull him over and think he's messed up on something. He is really scared about being left alone so it's a sad affair all the way around. We don't know what to do about going there before we leave. It has taken her so fast. In the last month she has gone from wanting my wife to cook her some great food to barely getting by.

Major porch hugs! Still in our hearts and prayers...

As for me, I am 2 1/2 weeks out from my last chemo. Most of my side effects have subsided, except the fatigue. I will be having surgery to remove the one area that is still growing. I am very curious to see what it is. I have developed some nasty lymphadema in my left arm and chest area. I am going for lymphadema massage 2 times a week right know to help the lymph find other pathways out of my body. Otherwise, I can't complain, I feel pretty good. Keep the prayers coming.

Last weekend, my family, friends, and neighbors worked to get our wood cut and ready for this winter. Over a 2 day period, we had dozens of folks with chainsaws and logsplitters in our driveway. Even the youth group from church came to help stack the wood in our yard. 5 1/2 cords were cut, split, and stacked. We are so very grateful for their generous spirits in spending time doing this for us. Hubby usually does it bit by bit, but he has been so busy taking care of me, he hasn't had time this year.

Praying that will be the end of your ordeal with this awful disease...keep up the good fight, I know you will. :toast:

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Uncle Willie - If you don't mind me asking.........is the Franzia Sangria a sweet wine? I have visited 3 wineries and I swear one wine could have gone in my smudge pot to keep the bugs away. In fact I wish I had some of in right now. My swing seems to be the buffet line tonight.
phil_28.gif

I tend to drift toward a sweeter wine .. I don't really care for the dry and semi-dry wines ... I like a nice semi-sweet or sweet red and a white zinfandel will do the trick for me as well .. so, being it's a cloudy and a bit chilly Friday .. here we go ..

"Nothing Says Love Like a Boxed Wine" ..

With a 5 ounce serving containing the following "nutritional value" .. Sugar (gm) 8 Calories (gm) 110 Carbs (gm) 11, the Franzia Fruity Sangria could be construed by some to be near the sweetness of Kool Aid, although it's in reality, it's not super sweet .. I find it to be a nice, refreshing wine with some citrus, orange, lemon and pineapple mixed in I think (YMMV) .. although it is suggested that it be served over ice cubes, I also drink it straight ..

Sangria came about through the mixing of a red wine with various fruit chunks, letting it steep for a while and pouring it into your glass through a strainer in order to avoid the fruit plopping into your glass .. the type of fruit used, primarily citrus, although apples/peaches/pears can be used, determines the final flavor .. the classic mix also included a few dashes of Brandy ..

Considered by many to be a Summer drink ..

One of the more trendy things to do over the last few years is to mix up "Man-gria" .. which is produced by adding vodka ..

For those that prefer less sweetness, the Franzia Chillable Red is a nice alternative ..

Love me some sweet wine.

Excluding MD20 and Boone's Farm...

Hey Iffy,
Saw this online. It's a NASA photo taken earlier this month near Tampa Bay.

Awesome pic! Day-um, I missed dat one.

My water spout claim to fame was down in da Keys. Had three approaching us. Da third one caught up wid da second and they did a cobra mating dance. Obviously it was a short 'romance' in dat by da time I looked back while racing to shore, I didn't even see da post mating cigarette ritual...
Groucho.gif

My other fav water spout story is when my bud and I were out in da Gulf locally fishing fer grouper. All of a sudden, I hear this 'whishing' sound. I thought it might have been our bait well pump cavitating. Looked to da stern and dere was a two foot high, twenty foot wide circular 'bump' in da water! Actually watched da water droplets being 'sucked' up into da vortex. It passed within twelve feet of my rod tip. Absolutely astounding!!!

Call me crazy, but I do luv me sum Ma Nature at her strangest!

One I really like is "White Merlot"
I absolutely CANNOT stand regular Merlot, to me it's super dry almost bitter, and too strong.
The White Merlot is a fantastic, mellow, sweet, much lighter red wine.
Too me, even having the word "Merlot in it's name, gives it a bad image.
Give the "White" a try.
I always liked White Zinfandel, but it's in second place now. :toast:
