Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part 2

Guys, got bad news today. My brother in law went to check on his mother, my mother in law, and found her on the bathroom floor. She was alive thank God but was incoherent. He called 911 and she is now in the hospital. We don't think she will be able to live alone again so wife and I are leaving for her house in Florida on Friday.
I post this to mostly to ask for ypur prayers. She lives in Deerfield Beach and you know what kind of crap the hospitals pull down there with medicare and such. Might be asking for some advice as I dont know much about that being only 56. Thanks in advance.

Mom's labs are good and her CT scan came back ok. Don't know more than that but, I'll report in as I find out more. Thanks guys. Feels good to know I've got a support group.

DITTO here, and I was just thinking about that the other day when I looked at my stack of books.
I used to read several hours a night ... now silch
I keep telling myself there are other things besides ECF ... but ... here I am

My tablet died a few months ago, and I just went do with reading on puter and paper. And I was busy writing at the time, and under some time pressure. That conversation got me going, so I ordered me a Kindle. Looking forward to not having to run to the library every few days. Piecing quilt tops definitely helps regroove the brain after working mostly with words, but my relationship with books is my first love.

OMG - I love my Kindle! I would never have bought one, but one Xmas one of my attorneys gave me one for Christmas (back when they were e-readers only, lol) and I fell in love with it. Now I have the Kindle Fire HD, and I debated and debated over it thinking I have a computer so how much am I really going to need all the extras? Bu hey - downloaded Dora and my granddaughter is happy on car trips. Downloaded some knitting patterns so I can knit wherever whenever. Downloaded some interactive toddler games for those rainy days (for me graddaughter not me, lol). Even sat up at the pub and logged on to ECF with the wifi, lol. I stream TV through it so I don't have to bother with the big TV. I buy movies and keep them stored on the cloud and just download them if I want to watch - no more DVD storage issues or book storage issues! Downloaded music (love Celtic women and Celtic Thunder and can't forget Il Volo)... I seriously would do free commercials for Kindle!!

Oh-- I figured you love everything Celtic. I am eager to have a reader for down-times. I sit with hospice patients at the VA, and it does help the time pass.

I am substitute teaching tomorrow, hopefully I will be home before the PO closes.

A big Kindle fan here too. My son won a Paperwhite and his conference and of course he gave it to his wonderful mother. I use to read on my phone but this is so light and easy to use. I have bunches of books but I still spend all my time on ecf and YouTube. It is also great to carry on walks on a nice day. Absolutely no glare from the sun. Guess me and MissMcVayp should make a commercial. bahahahahaha

I feel like their prices will reflect this decision and that will have a impact on the consumer. I maybe looking at this all wrong and someone here can set me straight. I was kind of shocked at the news, they could have used their decision not to support smoking by supporting vaping, but they didn't. They're going to make up their sales in their minute clinics.

I'm still waiting on that one to happen to me. All the people I see vape are the ones I've helped. I look forward to one day, vaping will be like when I ride on the motorcycle. Every biker always acknowleges another biker. Well at least they do on the Harley. heehee I can't wait to meet a vaper I don't know.
