Oh Russell, that's scary, but glad to hear it's not your heart. What a way to spend an evening! I hope it's something simple like a pinched nerve. I've had that a few times and so has my sister. For both of us the docs looked first for the heart, but it wasn't. It did go away and neither of us has had it happen in years. Let us know how you make out.
Well, at least your in the best place possible to get it figured out.

Just got released, no cardiac evidence, nothing on the chest x-ray, docs have no idea, still hurting, go to see cardiologist tomorrow.
Da ER give ya anything for da pain? Wish ya da best with your cardiologist!
Good to hear that you're out of that part of the woods, with at least some stuff ruled out.
They gave me some stuff while I was there, didn't last long, they think it is muscular, but aren't sure.
Geez Russel - just catching up on you night at the ER. Hope you wake up feeling fine today.

So glad it isn't cardiac. I have a condition called costochondritis. It causes me to have chest pains on an almost daily basis. I had PT for it, but it didn't help. My doc says to only worry about it if I also have shortness of breath, sweating, or pain in jaw, shoulder or arms. She also said that if it hurts only when I inhale, rather than a constant pain, it's likely muscular. Not saying it's what you have, but worth considering if they can't find anything else.
Back in the late 90's I had a heart attack and didn't even know it. Had a cardiolite stress test on Friday and the doc called on Tuesday and told me not to do anything stressful because the test said I had already had a heart attack. Tiny dead spot at the base of my heart is the only thing resulting other than closer attention to my heart. I mention this to say that the darn symptoms could be anything and try not to worry about it too much. I will keep you in my prayers.

Ah, so happy to read that Russ........well not that you have deep tissue muscle spasms, but that it wasn't anything more serious.
