Thanks Mike, don't know how it got changed from RMS, but it had. I had checked it before. OK now.
Caught up from yesterday, best wishes to all. Got in late last night and was too tired to even think about the porch. Climbed in bed and took care of the cat a couple hrs later.
Got 30 mins from home and realized I had not left out food for the cats, had to turn around and go back. Being on insulin, my boy has to have access to food while I'm gone. Halfway to son's house, my 'check engine' light came on. Son checked it when I got there, seems to be connected to the catalytic converter, so at least it didn't die on me going home. Will have to talk to my mechanic next week.
Son did well for his first Christmas dinner. made ham, baked mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and cheese sauce. Friend made collard greens and bacon. I made Jack Daniels Yams and pies. Made deviled eggs at his house. He was so unprepared though. Had to run to Walgreens, the only thing open, to get butter and beer. He had no aluminum foil, but used what I had on the pies for the ham. LOL His fiance traditionally doesn't do Christmas dinner, her family does Christmas breakfast after opening gifts and the rest of the day you just fend for yourself. So they did that in the morning, then son started on dinner. She told him if he wanted dinner, he had to cook it, so he did and did a decent job of it. Doesn't have the choreography of getting everything to the table 'hot' down yet, but not too bad.

Couple of things had to be nuked by the time we were ready to eat, but it worked. Funny how at almost 40, he realizes that holiday dinners were much harder than they appeared while growing up.

Yeah, not as easy as it looks huh? Was too funny! The yams pan had a clear plastic lid, that I told him to make sure to remove before heating them up in the oven. He sarcastically replied "I know that!" and 2 hrs later proceeded to toss them in WITH the lid and we heard him cracking up in the kitchen. He comes walking in with this blob of melted plastic, laughing crazily. "This is the lid that was on the yams".

That was the only thing I told him, he was making dinner and doing it on his own unless he asked me for help, I wasn't putting in my

I stayed in the living room unless he called me for something.
All in all it was a fun, but tiring day. I think I'll lay in bed and watch movies today.
