Hairy men are not sexy.

Thru decades of Jeans wear, the denim has pretty much worn much of the hair off my legs, at least, that's my theory .. so, the good news is, I am in fashion, leg wise .. the Modern Movement toward Men Waxing is not my cup 'o tea, although I have been fortunate in never having to deal with "Gorilla Back", (I think I saw a commercial at one point about a very long handled razor to be used for Back Self Shaving DIY .. ;) ) ..

At any rate, I continue to maintain my "Chest Rug" .. which, while not exactly to the tune of Shag Carpet, it still helps my inner self assert my Manliness, gray as it is .. ;)

Lastly, I did contemplate shaving my head a few times, but became apprehensive about what I might find .. ;)

Can you believe there's a big cult following of men who prefer the old double edge razors to the modern multi-blade razors. Some of these masochists prefer vintage double edge razors, others prefer high end modern versions. There's even a number of forums dedicated to double edge shaving. A couple years ago for the heck of it I got out one of my vintage Gillette's, tried it and ...
Yikes ... no way ... what was I thinking.

I like a blend of old and new, i use an ultra modern vibrating multiblade razor with old fashion soap and brush. Not that it really matters, it takes me 3 days to get a 5o'clock shadow.

That wood be me! :D Mine's gold. And you do know they're adjustable, right? :)

I've never found an electric razor that gave me that smooth as silk initial shave, and I've tried a few ..

My problem with the Gillette Double Edge Safety Razor began at a young age, having first shaved at 13 or 14 .. then, Teen Puberty Hormonal Changes causing the usual acne breakout, which the razor did a great job on slicing and dicing .. add to that the insistence of my Dad on me using After Shave, and you have self inflicted torture on a Grand Facial Scale ..

My father did not have a chest rug. Ergo, I do not like them.

I did forget to mention with the talk of school attire, I was born in 63, and was surprised to hear dancin and kenna talking about no jeans etc. I always wore jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. Couldn't wear shorts, but culottes were a happy medium when I was in grade school, cuz I didn't and still don't do dresses. Don't even own a dress now. I even wore palazzo pants to my son's wedding. That was as close as I could come even to a formal dress. lol 8th-9th grade I was comfiest in my jeans, t-shirt, with an open flannel shirt over it, sorta like a jacket. Shoes were either sneakers, sandals, or moccasins.

My senior pictures, I did wear a nicer shirt, didn't like the pics, but meh...didn't think a lot of it. On retake day, I had jeans, shirt, boot moccasins that I had made, crow bead choker, hair was in two long braids, that were wrapped in ribbon, with rosettes, sorta like this

spur of the moment, decided to go get the retake done........undid my hair and brushed it out, took off the choker, some clear lip gloss, and LOVED the retakes. And I always hate pics of me.

I always thought girls' legs were measured from the ground up. I'd get in trouble if I said any more...
Same difference. When measured from the floor, they're still so long that they go all the way from the floor to her .....

I've used a brush and soap for so long, I can't remember when I last bought a can of shave lotion.

Yep ... the one I pulled out a few years ago is adjustable. Tried different settings and still put the dang thing back in the drawer.

My dad was so cheap frugal, he had a specialized small wet stone. It had a shallow "V' shape instead of being flat. It's express purpose was for re-sharpening double edge blades. I may still have it around here someplace. Something like this:

You're just a youngin' ... I graduated H.S in 1964.
