and it's cold out there!

Gracie, so excited that you'll be able to be there for the birth of your new grand baby! We've come a long way from when our kids were born. They were only starting to allow the Dads into the delivery room! I had rooming in so our son was in my room when my mother and sister arrived and they were promptly kicked out! Just last year when our DIL gave birth, both sets of grandparents were not only allowed in, but were able to hold the new baby!

Our daughter is going to have a baby in July while the Dad is in Afghanistan so it looks like I'll be in delivery with her as her coach. Hopefully Brian will be available to join us via Skype while Mike handles the laptop! Woohoo!!

That reminds me - we seem to be missing a picture of new twins or did I miss them?
Janet, yes, we sure have come a long way since we birthed our children. My husband had to be scooted out of the labor room cause he was ready to pass out...yea, macho!!
This will be my second time with her in the delivery room, and her sister isn't even going to be there....a lil bad scenario going on there. I digress....anyway, yes, if we don't keep up with progress, it surely can leave us behind.

Huh I asked about doing that since 1 ltr would be close to what I paid but the guy on the phone said the code couldn't be used...I imagine they have several people on the phones and the one I talked was mistaken.
I was debating whether to get it or not last night, and it wasn't a definite 'yes', so it became a 'no'. Good rule that I respect and it usually turns out OK.

Oh yea, Willie, we were talking about the rations Peter & I received in the hurricanes of '04......those packages were surprisingly good, and we kept them up until a couple of years ago. I could have kept them indefinitely.

@MattB101 another thing you can do is google Escribe and download it and see what you have to use for setting up the DNA200 and also go to the DNA200 early adopters forum you might have to google that and see what people on there are saying about their DNA200 boards. Lots of info on both sites. The only thing you can set on the mod is for straight power everything else is set up through Escribe.

Wasn't for me. I think it was CasketWeaver who ask about em. I was just referring him to you. ;)

I wonder if people are grasping how big a 36" diameter skillet would be. Very few commercial ovens and no home ovens could fit one inside, even if the skillet had no handles at all.

A 36" diameter iron skillet would also weigh 120 pounds. That's based on Googling and finding a 20" diameter iron skillet that weighs 37 pounds.

Awn da kast eye-rawn fry pan... they rock!

The original non stick frying pan. Used to use them for anything fried. That is, until they started to get heavier. (or I got lighter) Best on a gas stove of course. Since gas heats most foods "generally" faster than a microwave. Cooking is faster and easier. But the getting it out of the cupboard before and to the sink after makes em pretty much prohibitive anymore. :(

Only for a while! Bin dere, dun dat.
Been using a cheap one for almost a year that I got at Wally world. No scratches or anything yet still fine. I do use nylon utensils but take no other special care with it.

I guess they are nylon, some kinda plastic stuff anyway.

I've got a set, not expensive either....have been using them for over two years, no issues, but......cooking on high and using the wrong utensils would probably be a big no no...;)

I love mine, easiest clean up ever...:D

Yeah we use plasticy.nylony stuph too. But oddly, found that stainless fry pans do a "fairly" good job of no stick too. And don't need special utensils.

Those new ceramic coated pans are great.

Or the best of both worlds, a ceramic coated cast iron dutch oven. I scored a deal on one at Amazon a few months ago and I just love it. Brown your roast, stew meat, whatever your preference, on the stove top, add your other ingredients, then stick the whole thing in the oven and bake it for a few hours. Absolutely delicious results and easy peasy cleanup.

I told em to refund my order when they said they wouldn't even honor the 20% diy code for the 100mg

I thought there was probably a problem with the pricing - to good to be true and since they are a small shop - they would be set back considerably honoring the boo boo...

About a zillion years ago, when it was the Russians invading Afghanistan instead of us, because I was NCOIC mobile weather unit, I got sent out on a "NATO exercise" to spend a couple weeks in the mud in Italy. We started eating those same ration kits, then they got a mess tent set up so we could eat "real meals." After one day eating in the mess tent, I asked if I could have the C-rations instead because they tasted better.
